Tiles, especially blue ones are a common occurrence in the Azores. They are found in many places, on private houses, in village squares, in pubs and cafes and probably more often in churches.

5946 W. Division, Chicago. 1920. I wonder if the tile is original to the building. I haven't been able to locate the name of the architect.

One of the pleasures of getting a bit mixed lot of tiles is that all sorts of things may purk at the bottom of the box. Although chipped, this tile shows great workmanship in a small 3 in tile, with delicate tube lining and colouring. The Medmenham works was established by Conrad Dressler in 1898. He was a German born sculptor who had previously worked for Della Robbia in Birkenhead. The enterprise was quite short lived (closed 1906), but the output was high quality.

In the Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, technicians have begun bonding thermal protection system tiles on the nine panels the will cover the Orion crew module for the agency’s first uncrewed flight test with the Space Launch System (SLS) on NASA’s Journey to Mars. While similar to those used on the space shuttle, Orion only requires about 1,300 tiles compared to more than 24,000 on the shuttle. The tiles, along with the spacecraft’s heatshield, will protect Orion from the 5,000 degree Fahrenheit heat of re-entry. The Orion spacecraft will launch atop NASA’s Space Launch System rocket on EM-1, an unpiloted test flight.

La Casa de Pilatos, chiefly built between the 15th and 16th centuries, is an example of an Italian Renaissance building with Mudéjar elements and decorations. It is considered the prototype of the Andalusian palace.

It is adorned with about 150 different azulejo (Spanish glazed tile) designs from the 1530s, one of the largest azulejo collections in the world.

brassmanticore: Lady and attendants in a garden Tile panel probably made in Isfahan, ca. 1640-50 At the center of this scene, a lady leans on a bolster pillow and languidly holds out a filled cup. Making somewhat immodest eye contact with the viewer, she displays burn marks, associated with mystics and lovers, on her lower arms. A male figure in European dress and hat, perhaps a merchant, kneels before her. The other figures offer refreshments and conversation. Courtesy of The Metropolitan Museum of Art (03.9c)

This is the company logo from the late 1950s. They were formed as Malkin Edge & Co in 1866. In the years after the Second World War they commissioned a series of moulded tiles from Kenneth Clark, which were hugely successful. Here is the company logo from that period.
