Thank you very much for all your nice visits, comments and favourites! ❤

Autumn is a season tinged with the beauty of colours and yet also with some nostalgia...

Another Summer gone, the 'dark' months upon us, with the season of light nearing!

The weather is quite gusty, we'll not have the colour for very long, some leaves are hanging on for dear life, others have let go...

The 'specks' you see were actually water-drops,

Keep well and you for viewing and commenting, M, (*_*)

Piles of stones reputedly built to commemorate the deaths of three men in a snowstorm. They are built on top of a Bronze Age burial mound.

The Legion of Honor, part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, has an outstanding collection of about 70 sculptures by Auguste Rodin. The Three Shades occupy a place of honor in the Alma de Bretteville Spreckels gallery, named for the founder of the Legion.

I am looking forward to seeing more Rodin sculpture in Paris -- we leave next week and will be in northern France most of October.

Hope you have a great Sunday! Thank you all for your visits, comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

With the promise of thunder storms in the forecast I headed for the Lincolnshire Wolds in search of dramatic skies. First stop was here looking down on St James's Parish Church in Louth, a composition I spotted a few weeks ago on a long walk and thought at the time it just needed a more interesting sky or sunrise. Hey presto I got the sky, sunrise will have to wait for the shorter days.

Interesting fact, the church has the 3rd tallest spire in the uk...most of its 287ft missing in this shot.....

The peaks of Beinn Fhada, Gearr Aonach and Aonach Dubh are known collectively as the Three Sisters of Glen Coe.

These three would find each other and stand together every time.

"Smile on Saturday" - "Red, Round Trio"

They may look like normal size leaves, but these are miniature Oak leaves growing off of that single little stem that has broken out from the trunk of the tree.

This tree is in my landscape and these triplet beauties caught my eye as I was cutting the grass yesterday.

In the house I went, grabbed my macro lens, and captured them from several angles. Here is the result.

What is it about autumn leaves that are so beautiful?!

These three bells were made in 1668, 1755 and 1708. They are three of six in St Michael's church in Oxford, UK and it is said that if all six were rung full circle, they would be too heavy for the 1000 year old tower to support, so they are now hung 'dead' for chiming only.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, comment, fave or invite. I really appreciate them all.
