Three.

Not Simply Three. But quite a complex number.

Photo taken for Macro Mondays on flickr where each week we post one or two macro photos (on Monday) following the weekly theme. This week's theme is simply, "Three."

If things seem to be peaceful with two, be careful of the third entity that could come into play.

Would, could, should: Three questions that sometimes should not be asked. Instead better for life to provide its own surprise.

This little leaf appeared on my lounge floor yesterday. I love it. Don't know from where it came. But now it resides on my not-so-complete Christmas card pile.

Three bells outside the Chapel of St. Basil on the campus of University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.

"The granite wall holds three bells that ring throughout the neighborhood: The largest bell represents St. Basil, the second largest is for his brother St. Gregory of Nyssa, and the smallest bell represents St. Basil’s younger sister, St. Macrina, a nun."

EN GARDE said the middle one…

Another year... THE RED TULIPS ARE BACK! What will they be up to this year? Lol!

Red tulips of the darkest kind.

En garde is a French phrase meaning 'on guard'. Used to warn a fencer to assume the position preparatory to a duel, or to warn an opponent in chess that their queen is threatened.

Salute, the bout is over, beads are building up, FOR ALL THE GLORIOUS DETAIL view large.

There are no secrets... it only took me years of experimenting in the studio, and I still learn every day.

First you hit it with everything you've got, like all things in life, hihi, now it is less and less.

Photography is an Art, a way of life and seeing life, it is my passion, mental and emotional nourishment.

All I can say is experiment, experiment, experiment... the exposure is irrelevant because each flower, light source is different. Make it your own!

Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

Another view from the Three Gorges dam down to a spillway. The small black point in the blue rectangle is the fotographer - it gives you an impression of the real depth.

This time I could catch Radja, one of the cubs (I don't know which one it is) and Joy.

The cub is sharp and the parents are blurry because they stayed behind. But I think it's still cute and that the composition is good. :)

Three glasses, two are broken, just left outside where they could catch the rain water and then got some algae.

They say that three is the magic number and by looking at this picture you can certainly see why. Just check out this bevy of beauties who have decided to do a bit of sunbathing top to toe, well i suppose you've got to get it where you can with the British weather being what it is. There we were getting everything ready for the painting session when all of a sudden they all whip their clothes off and march in to the garden. Now I'm not one to complain when lovely ladies take their clothes off so i thought of the old adage if you can't beat them join them and did exactly that.

Cheers

This is my first visit to Clarence Fahnestonck Memorial State Park, located on the eastern side of the Hudson River in New York State, within the Putnam County and the Taconic region. I'm drawn here on this late autumn (with seasonably above average temps), to explore the six marked mines that stand out to me on my park trail-map. 5 named mines as well us one unnamed, all within a reasonable hiking distance from one another, I was ready to take it on, all planned 12.5 miles of it.
