This is the view I had from my room in Canmore, so it was relatively easy to put the tripod on the balcony and get this beuatiful sunrise over the Three sisters!

Time to go to the bath.

WTF!

Aegidius Sadeler II – Flemish, 1570-1629

after Roelandt Savery – Dutch, 1576-1639

The strength of the Meakins-McClaran collection lies in its 16th- and 17th-century Dutch and Flemish landscapes. These picturesque scenes, populated with rustic peasants and hunters. Illustrate many of the qualities appreciated by collectors of the time. Aegidius Sadeler was admired for his virtuoso engraving technique with which he could capture the natural quality of rough bark (on otherwise fancifully imagined trees) and employ a variety of tomes and shades to great decorative effect.

Three shots in a few seconds, and I'm becoming part of the background for them.

I find that flying birds are good practice for getting to know your gear. These three Canadian Geese were seen on a recent walk.

Reflections on Three Valley Lake, Victor Lake Provincial Park, Revelstoke, British Columbia.

The red coloured building at the far end of the lake is the Three Valley Lake Chateau, a large hotel complex with a collection of heritage buildings, an antique car museum and enclosed railway roundhouse

with antique rail cars.

This shot was taken inside our home during the rainy days of July 2015 with my sister Joy. Three consecutive typhoons lined up to hit the Philippines that month so we just decided to have our own extended summer fiesta indoors.

The Three Sisters are sandstone rock formations in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.

The Blue Mountains are so named because, from Sydney, they look blue. They are clad in vast forests of eucalypts (commonly called gum trees), which in the hot sun discharge a fine mist of eucalyptus oil from their leaves. The mist refracts light, which makes the haze look blue at a distance.

Three Million.... wow! I recall when I had 300,000 views on Flickr and thought that was quite impressive. I am so honored to have such wonderful Flickr contacts. I, in turn, love to see the images you post of this incredibly beautiful world. Thanks to all!

We watched these three grizzlies (Ursus arctos) for some time foraging not far from the Denali National Park road. On the way back, we saw them there again, so the food must have been plentiful.

I suspect the light-colored one in the middle is the sow (mother) and the other two are her last year's cubs.

in the serene silence of a cloudy morning, the boats rest calmly at the old port of saint-tropez. their reflections ripple gently across the still waters, creating a harmonious blend of man-made precision and natural beauty. the sleek designs of these modern vessels contrast with the timeless tranquility of the harbor, encapsulating a moment where luxury meets peace. this scene captures the essence of saint-tropez’s maritime allure, where each boat tells a story of adventure and elegance.

We camped for a night just a few kilometers from this spot, knew there was the possibility of stormy weather, and caught this scene before it arrived. An hour later, with darkness falling, we watched a very large cell moving slowly along the North shore of the St Lawrence from where we stood. The next day we learned that it had a downdraft in excess of 100 km/hr and there was considerable damage where it had passed.

The outskirts of Trois Pistoles, where this picture was taken, was named after a silver goblet supposedly worth three gold coins. The area has a fascinating history - it's hosted the University of Western Ontario's French immersion program since 1932, and Basque whalers used an island just offshore in the 16th century.

Urbex photograph.

I used three different exposures with each 2 stops difference to create this HDR image. Due to the bright light coming from the facing windows I choose for this technique. Otherwise the graffiti on the walls wouldn't the exposed the way I wanted.

Furthermore I desaturated the photograph and adjusted the contrast and clarity a bit.

Three Shire Heads (also known as Three Shires Head) is the point on Axe Edge Moor where Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet, at UK grid reference SK009685, or 53.213°N 1.987°W.

It is on the River Dane, which marks the Cheshire border in this area. On the east of the river, the border between Staffordshire and Derbyshire runs north-east for about a mile to Cheeks Hill, on the higher regions of Axe Edge Moor. From Cheeks Hill the border runs south then east to the head of the River Dove.

The main landmark is a packhorse bridge. The bridge is Grade II-listed, and was probably constructed in the late 18th century

Another shot of the wild dog kill just outside of the utility area at #MachabaCamp. Here they had eaten a part of the impala and were now starting to pull the remains apart.

Just look at that team work.
