I drive up and down Gallatin County's Springhill-Rocky Mountain Road, which runs due north from Bozeman, Montana, as often as I can for the great bird and wildlife-watching. It's not unusual to see both mule deer and whitetail deer in the area. Over a few trips this summer I'd spotted several does and a few bucks (in velvet now) but I've been a little puzzled by the absence of fawns. Finally, I got a doe who had three fawns with her, adorable little spotted "Bambis," as if to make up for all the childless does this year.

These three delightful young women were visiting Bamberg. They are from three different South american countries.
