Feast of Muses is the symbol of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre

The sculpture "Feast of Muses" (by sculptor Stanislovas Kuzma), installed in 1981, crowning the main entrance to the theatre has become the symbol of the LNDT. The muses of Drama (Calliope), Comedy (Thalia) and Tragedy (Melpomene) are patrons of the theatre’s wide and diverse repertoire

Woody Shaw - Three Muses (1965)

We passed through Blyde River Canyon in the afternoon on the way back from Kruger National Park in South Africa. It was a pretty amazing stop. A great road leads up through tiny communities selling oranges into high mountains, cliffs and gorges. Then you get to the canyon itself which is not very easy to access but has a succession of pullouts (some of them you have to pay for) with some spectacular views.

This is the three rondavels view. Rondavels are the small, round thatch houses that so many people live in there. They do actually look quite a lot like the rocks here.

Made from wool army blankets. Vintage red cross pins and hand stamped tags.

A blend of two images, one of the Azuma and the other being the two trains on the lower line. The location is Copley Hill in Leeds where the electrified Doncaster line crosses over the line to Dewsbury and Huddersfield. The images were taken within a couple of minutes of each other. The LNER Azuma is heading for London Kings Cross, the TPE Class 185 is heading to Huddersfield and the Class 47 in the distance is a Northern Belle excursion from Appleby to Hull. 27th September 2023.

I eventually liked the movement blurs

This time I could catch Radja, one of the cubs (I don't know which one it is) and Joy.

The cub is sharp and the parents are blurry because they stayed behind. But I think it's still cute and that the composition is good. :)

Three bells outside the Chapel of St. Basil on the campus of University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.

"The granite wall holds three bells that ring throughout the neighborhood: The largest bell represents St. Basil, the second largest is for his brother St. Gregory of Nyssa, and the smallest bell represents St. Basil’s younger sister, St. Macrina, a nun."

My first trip into London on the Central line(apart from going to Stratford to get my first Covid jab) for more than a year.

Walked round the canals from Mile End down to the Thames and then up the Limehouse cut to Stratford.

The Metropolitan Building is a high-rise office building located on a triangular lot at 33 John R Street in downtown Detroit, Michigan, near Grand Circus Park.

The building was built in 1924 and finished in 1925. It stands at 15 stories and was once occupied by shops, offices, and the facilities of jewelry manufacturers and wholesalers. It has been known as the "Jeweler's Building". Architects Weston and Ellington designed it in a Neo-Gothic style.[1] It is made mainly with brick, granite, and is sheathed in terra cotta.

The Metropolitan Building closed in 1977.

Wall art in Glastonbury. Not sure what it's all about but it's very quirky and perfect for the 'Three' theme in 7 Days of Shooting group! (Photographed on an evening walk through the town)

For: 7 Days of Shooting. Week #12. Three - Whatever, But Three. Shoot Anything Saturday.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to view my photo and make a comment or fave. Your thoughts are much appreciated.

That's a 1961 Chrysler Newport under the tarp in the background.

The sky seemed to divide itself into 3 distinct parts: one pink, one blue and one orange. I increased the saturation, but you "get the picture".

They say that three is the magic number and by looking at this picture you can certainly see why. Just check out this bevy of beauties who have decided to do a bit of sunbathing top to toe, well i suppose you've got to get it where you can with the British weather being what it is. There we were getting everything ready for the painting session when all of a sudden they all whip their clothes off and march in to the garden. Now I'm not one to complain when lovely ladies take their clothes off so i thought of the old adage if you can't beat them join them and did exactly that.

Cheers

This is my first visit to Clarence Fahnestonck Memorial State Park, located on the eastern side of the Hudson River in New York State, within the Putnam County and the Taconic region. I'm drawn here on this late autumn (with seasonably above average temps), to explore the six marked mines that stand out to me on my park trail-map. 5 named mines as well us one unnamed, all within a reasonable hiking distance from one another, I was ready to take it on, all planned 12.5 miles of it.

One of them sporting a Thompson sub-machine gun, in case you get mouthy.

Three Shire Heads (also known as Three Shires Head) is the point on Axe Edge Moor where Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet.

It is on the River Dane, which marks the Cheshire border in this area. On the east of the river, the border between Staffordshire and Derbyshire runs north-east for about a mile to Cheeks Hill, on the higher regions of Axe Edge Moor. From Cheeks Hill the border runs south then east to the head of the River Dove.[1]

The main landmark is a packhorse bridge. The bridge is Grade II-listed, and was probably constructed in the late 18th century.

Today's episode is brought to you by the number 3.
