This week’s photo challenge was THREE. I made some different photos and I like the one of the little swans near my house best! The 2 adult swans had 6 small swans, so it took a while (and a few days) to get the right picture, with only 3 little swans on it. In black and white it worked best.

I was shooting the Three Sisters formation in Goblin Valley State Park in Utah in the late afternoon when up walked a herd of pronghorn antelope. It was pretty cool as the pronghorn usually run away when they see me and my camera.

I saw those three trees on the flank of a hill back in January in Damüls on an evening walk. They stand in a triangle on this empty slope in the shadow, while the clouds in the background are hit by the light of the setting sun.

NHN's plow extra works south along Milton Three Ponds in Milton, NH with GP18 1801 bracketed by a pair of MBTA Russell plows. A fresh snowfall the day before left the northern end of the line pretty well buried in snow, so it made for a good show. With plenty of ice on the lake I figured the 88 mile marker would be my best bet at avoiding a crowd.
