It seems to me that these are three brothers, their faces are very similar. And the youngest brother, apparently, is used as an engine😀.

The Three Soldiers is a bronze statue on the Washington, DC National Mall commemorating the Vietnam War. It was created and designed to complement the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, by adding a more traditional component to the Memorial.

A trio of UP 70Ms lead YSP35(?) through St. Paul. I don't catch these units too often, so getting a trio with stacks was quite nice. Thankfully, the tagged one wasn't leading either. Beside this train is CPKC 645, which we would catch at Camden.
The River Dane tumbling over some small cascades as it passes through Three Shires Head, the meeting point of the counties of Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire.
A half second exposure was used to blur the water but also retain some texture in the flow too.
Another from a series of shots I'm doing for FransJanssens@www.collembola.org to establish the size and differences between the various instars of this Katiannid springtail. Here's three males that I've managed to photograph over the past couple of days.
From left to right they measure ~ 1.1 mm, 0.85 mm and 0.8 mm.
Driving home from Sequoia I spotted this along the highway. I pulled over and circled back. It was a really hot day and about five dogs were having a fit with my standing in front, sweating in the sun with my camera. But they were behind the chain-link fence, so I relaxed, snapped the shutter, and quickly got on my way. It wasn't until after I had downloaded to the computer that I saw the cats, just hanging out.

We have a whole bag of various sized probability die (or dice ) at home which my husband used in the classroom in his teaching days. These three are convex or regular icosahedrons with twenty triangular faces. HMM!
