This photo demonstrates the final stage of the process, detaching the piece from its backing. This piece was made using metallic thread which is very finicky, so I wasn't able to get the outline coverings as clean as I'd have liked.
More of my hand dyed thread, this time to approximate a "Leafy" green. Fresh picked leaves included in the photo for comparison.
