Those guys are usually on each station, paying attention at everything being in order. They check that everyone is in the train, they close the doors, and press Play at the end. This is something I really like in Germany, because at the end, all this machinery is human thanks to them.

Those of you pining for the high-winged days of the Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird can open up your checkbooks and make one payable to Heide Performance Products out of Madison Heights, Mich.

The company can turn any Dodge Challenger into a '70s-inspired pavement burner, though they leave the actual pavement-burning modifications up to you: the Superbird/Daytona kit is an appearance upgrade only.

The full kit comes with a nose cone assembly ($5,999), three-piece wing ($2,499), functional Shaker hood and scoop ($2,499), rear aluminum louvers ($899), HPP Challenger hood pins ($179), Daytona or Superbird taillight overlays ($189), fender gills ($89), pistol-grip shift lever ($149) and rear diffuser ($1,299), or a total of $13,800. HPP says the paint and installation usually averages around $6,000, so the total cost is less than $20,000.

HPP says that many customers buy the kit a piece at a time, installing them as time and budget allows. We'd suggest starting with the two most expensive things -- the wing and nose -- or the five cheaper things before you add the big body panels.

The wing -- which rides 57 inches above the pavement -- is a three-piece unit made from epoxy resin over an aluminum honeycomb core. The crossbar is adjustable and has been tested at speeds up to 200 mph, according to HPP.

The nose cone is made from epoxy resin and urethane, has electronically controlled headlight covers and includes grille surrounds and screens.

This Lego miniland-scale HPP Dodge Challenger-Superbird conversion has been created for Flickr LUGNuts' 84th build challenge, our 7th birthday, to the theme, - "LUGNuts Turns 7…or 49 in Dog Years", - where all the previous challenges are available to build to. In this case challenge 68, - "A Baker's Dozen", - where thirteen sub-themes were also available. This is #10, - "A Car Featured in Top Gear". The HPP Superbird was featured on the Top Gear website on March 7, 2012, and in the print version of the magazine at about the same time.

I bought a jumper from the car boot sale, and mistook it for acrylic. After I'd pulled it out of the washing machine (still smelling of aftershave: thanks, seller!), I realised my mistake. I called my mother who recommended stretching it "in Iraq". I didn't have the budget for that operation, so here's what I came up with.

Incidentally, I learnt how to use the "Lens correction" photoshop filter, while tweaking this shot. It's good!

Update: didn't quite get away with it. Looks like I'll need to offer it to my smaller, more slender friends.

For those of you that knew Bob Hainstock he passed away almost a year ago from a diabetic heart attack. He was a yardmaster for the CN/WC at neenah. I got the chance to work in Appleton this past week and found this on one end of the GBW 115 while switching in the yard. Looks like someone was very fond of Bob, he truely will be missed! Thought I would snap a shot and share it with everyone, it's hard to believe he has been gone almost a year......"Neenah yard out"

Ahh! Those Wanna Fuck a lot Bodies

10 hours total.

A bird's eye view to show the scale of everything - you can still see 'Annunciation' underneath - it's hard to believe that all those little pieces will fit in that relatively small puzzle!

I started by building the frame, which wasn't too difficult although there were a lot of black pieces. At all 4 mid-points there is a flattish cut between edge pieces, without a knob, which suggests that the cutter must first bisect the puzzle, and then bisect it again into quarters, before getting into the actual cutting. This makes sense to me, as it would be impossible to move such a large puzzle swiftly even if you had a saw platter large enough to accommodate the size. I'm not a huge fan of Michèle Wilson's borders: they're easier than they could be, and they create a 'zipper effect' around the puzzle that doesn't harmonize with the interior pieces. And while the edge is supposed to be interlocking, is isn't really. I'd prefer an edge that doesn't try to be interlocking and harmonizes better with the push-fit pieces in the interior.

I continued with a few pieces off the bottom border - the line of shadow at the edge of the table, I assume - before moving on to all of the colorful flowers. I will probably just keep building things separately on boards and it will be a while before I bring things into the frame of the puzzle, as I have no idea where they go. But this is kind of how I make puzzles anyway.

The process is delicate and I have to be careful of my movements; any swift move will cause a lot of backtracking.

Enjoying the puzzle a lot though finding less time to work on it than I would like.

Those that know me, know that I'm a real map nerd/geek, especially thanks to Google Earth/Maps.

Several years ago I was 'googling' my way around the UK, especially the remoter areas and islands, and then I found a little dot approx 80 miles off the Scottish Mainland and wondered "St Kilda, that looks interesting?"

It turned out to be St Kilda and I thought to myself that it would be really cool if I could actually set foot there myself one day ..... well now I have.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Kilda,_Scotland

From Wikipedia:

Permanent habitation on the islands possibly extends back at least two millennia, the population probably never exceeding 180 (and certainly no more than 100 after 1851). The entire remaining population was evacuated from Hirta (the only inhabited island) in 1930. Currently, the only year-round residents are military personnel; a variety of conservation workers, volunteers and scientists spend time there in the summer months.

SAN FRANCISCO marriage applications and flowers...yesterday, i went to City Hall to witness couples getting married San Francisco style. It was really emotionally moving. Very different type of celebration compared to the GAY DAY PARADE. Officials want a constitutional challenge by suing the State of California over state laws that define marriage as between a man and a woman.

The lawsuit backs the core assertion by Mayor Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, that marriage definitions in the state`s family code violate the State Constitution.

"The City and County of San Francisco is going on offense today in protecting the mayor`s action," City Attorney Dennis Herrera said. "Mayor Newsom took a bold step last week, and we fully agree with him that his position is justified and that the California Constitution provides that there should be equal opportunity under the law, and not just for straight people but for gay and lesbian people as well."

The city contends in the suit that the state family code violates both the Constitution`s equal protection clause and its due process clause by not giving equal opportunity to same-sex couples.

"The issue of whether state statutes prohibiting same-sex marriages violate constitutional protections is emerging as one of the great legal and civil rights issues of our day, and the question must be answered by our courts," Mr. Lockyer the State Attorney said.

"As a lifelong defender of civil rights, due process and equal protection for all," Mr. Lockyer said, "I do not personally support policies that give lesser legal rights and responsibilities to committed same-sex couples than those provided to heterosexual couples."

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, said Mr. Lockyer "has assured me that he will vigorously defend the constitutionality of the law." The governor also said that the altered marriage licenses in San Francisco, which must be filed with the State Department of Health Services, "fail to meet legal standards."

The lawsuit, which was filed in San Francisco Superior Court, also named two conservative groups that last week sued to block the same-sex marriage policy. By including the groups in the lawsuit, the city wanted to make sure that any court decisions in those cases took into consideration the city`s constitutional arguments.

"What we are doing is trying to ensure that the constitutional issue is addressed," Mr. Herrera said. "It`s doing what any good lawyer would do and ensure that you are protecting your client`s position on all available fronts."

Mr. Newsom`s directive on Feb. 12 set off a blitz of gay weddings, numbering more than 3,000 by the close of business on Thursday. People waiting in line for a license applauded the city`s new legal move, but in a sign of the growing rancor surrounding the marriages, opponents began picketing outside City Hall.

"I think what we have done, is we have affirmed marriage in San Francisco," Mr. Newsom said. "We have affirmed it because we`re celebrating people coming together in their unions. I feel affirmed as a married man by what`s happened here in San Francisco."

MAKES ONE REALLY PROUD TO BE A SAN FRANCISCIAN!

SAN FRANCISCO...lines are all the way out the door and around the block. The religious right speak with the devils forked toungue...for they say that gays are promiscous, but then do not allow gays to get married. There is no FREEDOM for all until all have FREEDOM as in FREEDOM TO MARRY. (a right winger was seen with a sign that he wanted to marry a tree...unreal.)

MAYOR GAVIN NEWSOM has approved the change in the wording of marriage licences to state `applicant` and not to be gender-specific. He has allowed gays and lesbians to legally marry in San Francisco and is willing to challenge the State that it can not discriminate against gays and lesbians, and thus, allowing them to marry! 2,636 couples have married this Valentine`s Day weekend, and more will continue!

MAYOR NEWSOM, who is straight, stated marriages will continue throughout the week because the anti-marriage forces failed to show Civil judges that these marriages are harmful. BUSHIT of course is having a cow over this and wants to use this issue to pull away focus from his unjust war and unjust policies.

The huge influx of people requesting marriage liciences were all handled by City workers who VOLUNTEERED their time! MAYOR NEWSOM has allowed CITY HALL to be open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday which is a National Holiday, Presidents Day. This is a sure slap in the face to President BUSHIT who opposes gay marriages as well as opposes anything SAN FRANCISCO stands for! BUSHIT just raised the rent of the HETCH HETCHY resevoir which is SAN FRANCISCO`s water source. BUSHIT raised the `rent` from $60,000/year to $300,000 MILLION A YEAR! BUSHIT knows that SAN FRANCISCO would never, ever support his war nor his evil policies which are aimed to benefit his political cronies and NOT the poor or working class US citizens!

This old guy was in Nevada city, a few miles outside Virginia City, MT. He, and a bunch of other characters, were dressed in old clothing and played a roles as certain people that would have lived in the town back during the gold rush in the later half of the 1800's. They gave great descriptions of what life was like during that time.

Raining hard. Cat loves it.

Those were the days...

After Matt and I finished the hike at The Glory Hole, there was one more nearby waterfall on our list to visit. This was located just a short ten mile drive away, though three of those miles were along a muddy dirt road. The falls are Lichen Falls, located along the Ozark Highlands Trail.

We didn't have to hike very far along the Ozark Highlands Trail to find Lichen Falls, it is located just a quarter mile from a parking area along the dirt road that the trail crosses. It was still snowing, but the snow began to fall heavily as we started the hike. Walking in the snow, we followed the trail past a few fallen trees, and then down a hill. We had hiked longer than a quarter mile, and pulled out the guide book since it seemed like we were doing something wrong. We were, we headed off the wrong direction on the trail, walking farther away from the falls with every step.

So turning around, we headed back in the right direction (to get to the falls, you take the trail that starts out across the road from the parking lot). In a very short amount of time, you finally reach the falls. The trail is flat and an easy hike. It just gets slightly more difficult to actually get close to the falls. We were using the Arkansas Waterfalls Guidebook by Tim Ernst to find the falls. Now I've studied this book a million times, and had read and re-read the short description to these falls many times before making the trip. But for some reason, it always seems like I skip over certain sentences, so that parts of the trail become a surprise. The part I managed to gloss over this time was the sentence "if you leave the trail to get a closer look be careful because the hillside is very steep!"

And the hillside is very steep. To get close enough to the falls for a good picture means descending down the hill at a very awkward angle. There is a bit of a dirt trail that heads down, but from the recent rain and snow, it was all mud. And not just any mud, it was deep and had the look and texture of chocolate pudding. To put your foot there would find it sinking a few inches, and the sliding gleefully down the hill all by itself. I was a bit nervous here, an uncontrolled slide would send you on your muddy way down the hill and onto the hard rocks by the waterfalls. I tried to scoot down as carefully as I could, covering myself in mud as I went. A fallen tree did help to steady the way down, and eventually some progress was made.

On the other hand, Matt bounded down the falls with no problems whatsoever, and was set up taking pictures while I wallowed in the mud on the hill. He was much braver than I was, and probably got some good pictures out of it. I stood on a ledge over the falls to get some shots, next to the steady drip of water pouring in from the hill above me.

Lichen Falls is actually a double-decked waterfall, and this is the upper part of the waterfall. The falls are located along the Ozark Highlands Trail in the Ozark National Forest, not too far from Fallsville, Arkansas.

AND THOSE THAT DON'T YOU CAN GO TO THE TWO SET'S CALLED ADVENTURES AT THE BLUE DOOR AND BLUE DOOR 1 & 2 .

THE BLUE DOOR IS A MOST MAGICAL AND UNIQUE AND MOST ECLECTIC PLACE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS, AND WHEN I NEED A BIT OF SOLITUDE AND A FEELING OF SANCTUARY, I STOP BY THE BLUE DOOR,

SOMETIMES JIMMY AND HIS WIFE ARE THERE AND MOSTLY LATELY THEY ARE NOT, BUT YESTERDAY WHEN I WENT BY NO ONE WAS ABOUT, NOT EVEN THE OLD ROOSTER RED! BUT THE BLUE DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN, AND EVERYTHING WAS ALL A CLUTTER AS USUAL,

IT IS LIKE GOING INTO A PLACE BACK IN TIME, WITH LITTLE TREASURES, HIDDEN ALL ABOUT, INSIDE AND OUT. THINGS ARE CONSTANTLY CHANGING HERE AND THERE, SO I NEVER KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT,

BUT THAT THERE ARE ALWAYS NEW TREASURES, AND A QUIET BENCH TO SIT UPON AND PONDER THE SOUND OF THE LEAVES OF THE HUGE OAK TREE ABOVE ME AS THE WIND SLIGHTLY RUSTLES THE NOW TURNING LEAVES, AS THEY FALL SLOWLY AND SOFTLY TO THE EARTH ALL ABOUT ME.

AS I SIT THERE ON THAT BENCH ALONE, I KNOW WHEN I LEAVE THAT ALL WILL BE RIGHT WITH MY LIFE ONCE AGAIN, AND I HAVE SUCH A PEACE OF MIND ABOUT ME.

LET ME TAKE YOU THERE, IN THIS MY SECOND VIDEO,AND WITH NO HELP THIS TIME,

IT DIDN'T TURN OUT LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO, SO i AM ATTEMPTING TO DO ANOTHER ONE,

PLUS OF COURSE MY SUNSETS..

I've Got Those Shouldn'ta-Eaten-All-Of-Those-Little-Baby-Snickers-Bars-Blues

-by Cheryl Kirking

Chorus:

I've Got Those Shouldn'ta-Eaten-All-Of-Those-Little-Baby-Snickers-Bars-Blues.

I've Got Those Shouldn'ta-Eaten-All-Of-Those-Little-Baby-Snickers-Bars-Blues.

Well, I shoulda just left them laying

'Cause baby now I'm paying my dues.

Today I bought some Snickers bars

(You know the kind I mean)

'Cause it's never too early to stock up for Halloween.

So I put 'em in the cupboard

Outta sight, outta mind, so I thought.

But by sundown I had eaten over half of the bag that I had bought.

(Chorus)

I asked my husband to hide them

Put 'em in a good spot

So that if I tried to find them, mmm m make sure that I cannot.

Don't want those Shouldn'ta-Eaten-All-Of-Those-Little-Baby-Snickers-Bars-Blues

So honey hide them well

'Cause if I find them it'll be real bad news.

Well tonight I could not sleep

I just could not rest

I set out to find them, I was a woman possessed.

I crept down the stairs and began to search high and low.

They were nowhere to be found

There was only one place left to go.

They were out in the garage,

They were calling my name.

Almost fell off the ladder and my husband is to blame!

You know he really should have hidden them in a much less obvious place.

They were right there in the rafters

Near the Christmas lights staring me in the face.

(chorus)

Now I sit in my bathrobe

Chocolate on my breath.

All alone in the garage nearly freezing myself to death

With dozens of little brown wrappers scattered all around me on the floor.

And so no one will suspect

I guess tomorrow I'd better go out and buy some more…

(chorus)

Well I should'a just left them laying

'Cause baby you know I'm paying

Paying my dues….

(spoken: It's only midnight - I wonder if I could find a store that's still open…)
