I think this is stunning architecture! The station was designed by the architect John McAslan + Partners, and the renovation of the station, which to their credit, was completed in 2005, was done on schedule.
To read more about the remarkable redesign of the station, see the Arch Daily article posted online at www.archdaily.com/219082/kings-cross-station-john-mcaslan....

#2 in the series of confessions. Soon, I might actually confess something no one knows. I'll think about it. haha
"When I first saw you
I knew that I'd never forget
This moment in time
Justa smile and you took away my heart
I never knew that my life would change
I never knew that I'd feel this way
Baby, believed me I'm right
Won't try to fight
This feelings inside I can't hide
I think I love You
This I am sure
Coz I miss you
Each time that you go
The things in my heart
The things that i say
are things that are true all the way
I've fallen for you
I'll never let go
Coz I need you
You're the light in my sorrow
THe things in my heart
The things that i say
are things that are true all the way
I love you
The days passed, I woke up
my heart, shot by an arrow
I go on my way
The sun shining everyday
Like, there's no tomorrow
I promise with you I will stay
If you tell me you'd be with me too
say yah do
we're meant for each other
I always believe that we do
the way my world brightens
whenever you're with me I know..."
I think this is an Oak Egger moth seen at Forvie NNR in Aberdeenshire.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lasiocampa quercus, the Oak Eggar, is a common moth of the family Lasiocampidae found in Europe, including Britain and Ireland. It feeds on a variety of plant species (mainly heather and bilberry), and may develop over two years in higher latitudes, where it may be known as the Northern eggar. Its suffix quercus refers to the fact that its cocoon generally resembles an acorn, not that its primary food source is oak.

Some think that these birds have grown accustomed to seeing my canoe on the bayou, but I’ve spent far too little time on the bayou and they are just like every other animal that you encounter. Some are willing to stick around and keep a wary eye on the photographer while other bolt or fly away long before I ever reach for my camera. This particular Green Heron was doing a bit of preening and my extremely slow and methodical approach allowed me to get well inside of its comfort zone without departing. I wish I had an explanation, but it’s just the way it happens with each encounter and each one is different. This bayou leprechaun even turned its back on me and continued to make sure that all of those feathers were in proper working order. And no, there’s not a lot of green showing in the plumage. A perfect Autumn's day comes to an end at Ullapool Harbour, Scotland. This is a 6 shot hand held pano with frames taken in portrait orientation then cropped at a 2:1 ratio. I normally prefer to have the horizon dead centre on my pano's but the cloud formations were so impressive I just had to include more sky - hopefully the composition works.
Have a great weekend all!
THINK IN MUSIC, SPEAK IN MOVEMENT
These are the streets that speak to me every morning. On foot & in the mist, our conversations ramble. We have no real friends but we know everyone.

The Pink Ribbon is the international symbol of hope for women with breast cancer.
Pink Ribbon has chosen Rachael Chatoor's "Standing All The Way" as the Pink Ribbon song of 2008. Rachael composed the song as a token of support for survivors and for people who have moved on, yet lived strong and well and full of love, life, and hope, while fighting cancer of any kind.

Don't think the book title sums up the book, even thought the Chinese girl in the story comes to England for a year to learn English and falls in love with an older man. She writes down all the new words she learns in a note book and you get one of these at the beginning of each short chapter.

The National Wallace Monument on Abbey Craig above the Carse of Stirling in Scotland was erected in memory of Scotland's greatest hero, Sir William Wallace, who, in 1297 at the Battle of Stirling Bridge defeated the English army and "sent them homewards to think again".
Think these sawbill ducks are very attractive, esp, as in this case the females. This one was taken on the R.Bollin, close to Stockport in Cheshire. They can be difficult to tell apart from female Red Breasted Mergansers but the bill with the downturned tip is a give away along with the pattern on the rear of the back. They are also very shy and hard to approach
Where: Corner of West 31th Street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan, New York, USA.
When: This afternoon.
What: A man takes a little nap on the sidewalk.
Caught this cool pic awhile back and then found this perfect song to go with it...
Everyday is a new day
I'm thankful for every breath I take
I won't take it for granted ( I won't take it for granted)
So I learn from my mistakes
It's beyond my control sometimes it's best to let go,
whatever happens in this lifetime
So I trust in love ( So I trust in love )
You have given me peace of mind
I, I feel so alive
For the very first time
I can't deny you
I feel so alive
I, I feel so alive ( so alive)
For the very first time (For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
Sunshine upon my face (Sunshine upon my face)
A new song for me to sing
Tell the world how I feel inside
Even though it might cost me everything
Now that I know this is beyond my control
'cause I could never turn my back away
Now that I see you (Now that I see you)
I can never look away
I, I feel so alive
For the very first time
I can't deny you
I feel so alive
I, I feel so alive ( so alive)
For the very first time (For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
Now that I know you
I could never turn my back away
And now that I see you
I could never look away
And now that I know you
I could never turn my back away
And now that I see you
I believe no matter what they say
I, I feel so alive
For the very first time
I can't deny you
I feel so alive
I, I feel so alive(so alive)
For the very first time(For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
I, I feel so alive (so alive)
For the very first time(For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
I, I feel so alive ( so alive)
For the very first time(For the very first time)
And I think I can fly
And I think I can fly
And I think I can fly

Democracy in Venezuela is about to die, It has slowly been eroded for 9 years by a government that was elected by popular vote. But has systematically concentrated power on the president and discriminated opposers.
In Venezuela you can no longer think differently from the official view.
Those of us who oppose the regime are criminalized, many journalists have had to go on exile, there are political prisoners that have been for years in trails or processes that don’t go anywhere, some opposition political figures are in liberty but under constant harassment by the executive and judicial. Anyone who opposes can expect insults and defamation by the highest government officials and violence from its followers.
But the Venezuelan democracy will die on December 2, if a proposed constitutional reform is approved.
President Hugo Chavez, has design a constitutional reform that will modify 69 articles of the current constitution. A reform that is unconstitutional itself, because it changes the basic principles of the constitution and the definition of the Venezuelan State, which is in direct violation of itself, according to it modification of basic principles can’t be modified with a reform (Art 342), a Constitutional Assembly has to be convoked instead, to make a new constitution via vote.
The illegitimacy of the reform, if approved, is far from the only concern. The state will be defined as Socialist, and the exercise of the means of democratic participation like vote and participation on public office will have to be for the construction of socialism, making illegitimate any action by people of different political views, destroying political pluralism. In violation of the Human Rights (proposed art. 16, 70) (Violation of the art. 21 and 32 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights), and Chavez could reelect himself indefinitely.
When it is quiet
and you are alone
do you find peace?
Breathing in the
cool fresh air
clearing out the
residue of chaos
having the solitude
to search within
and find the answers
to questions in your heart
take the time
to be alone
to listen
to breathe
and to know.
peace can be found
when you need it.
