Come to think about it, we didn't actually spend a lot of time in Takayama. We arrived somewhere around afternoon, had lunch and walked around to the Nikko Brewery for a tour of the brewery. There were gorgeous traditional merchant shops that I have mentioned before (www.flickr.com/search/?w=43994795%40N00&q=hida+no+sat...) and they were a pleasure to visit.

I am not sure why I like Takayama so much, lol... they are a pretty place, very nostalgic feel to it. lots of handicrafts - and they all seem very communal, warm and helpful.

Also found a battery vending machine there, which we found amusing.

This gentleman was probably only having a rest for a few minutes. I felt his posture made it look as if he had a lot of troubles in his life and he was thinking things through. Hence I have tried to make it look rather sombre with the colours etc. I love pictures taken from behind with people in everyday situations.

Reminded me of the statue. Experimented with B/W & Exposure

On our trip through Chile, we passed by el Tatyo geysers- close to San Pedro de Atacama. It was worth the 3 hours bumpy night trip from San Pedro...what a view

huh :) Rodin has got the sculpture "The Thinker" ... I have got the photo "The Thinker" ... probably - the idea looks not really original, but I like zis pic :)

different personalities, present, past and future in an ussual place that cannot imagine what happen inside of the brains every days.

i think this is only the best picture of the day because it's so awkward. it's right in the middle of something, a pose no one could possibly manufacture. i dont even think the man was awkward, just that i caught him in between starting and stopping.

my eyes are starting to hurt. i've been hacking away for like, a week, on a few different things. i can't believe its saturday; yesterday i thought it was wednesday. i'm looking forward to making some kind of routine, at least waking up at the same time, early in the morning. i dont like waking up in the morning, mind you, but i recognize that when i do, i feel better than when i sleep late. i keep putting off going to sleep to work some more, and i end up sleeping late because i need so many hours, but i've just go to cut that shit out.

i can't believe i'll be heading home soon, too. i guess sometime at the end of this week? it's up to me, i know, but ... i might as well head home. it's just insane.

major breakthrough on the the flickrblog tonight. it's practically done. a few extra features, just for fun. and you kids won't know the difference! but i'll talk about it when it's finished and online.

and finally, something occurred to me today. the only snailmail i recieve is people asking me for money. the only thing i can think of, off the top of my head, that is trying to change that is j.shea's postal matter project. but i hope she gets on that comics-by-postcard idea, because i know, especially in these awkward, difficult times, when i find myself between stopping and starting, pretty much anything outside the usual would brighten my day.

Coquin Migale, Think Tank Underground, 20th October 2016

After all, he had just jumped and crossed over to this side of the drainage ditch to avoid me in the first place. I didn't even know he was there at first, so these photos were just pure dumb luck.

The true purpose of my dedicated visit to the Glyptoteket was to find Danmark's copy of Rodin's Thinker. We found a great many Rodins inside, including a wonderfully staged copy of the Burghers of Calais, but no Thinker. A helpful docent informed us that it was in the flower gardens in the rear of the museum. And so it was, pondering its endless thoughts amidst a roiling ocean of blooms over which it towered.

I visited a new little park (to Me) yesterday that's not very far from my house.. Most of my picture taking wasn't good but did get a couple of shots that are postable... This bird which I think is a hawk was sitting so quiet when I came up but when I went on by to get a shot from the front he flew.. The texture in the feathers was so neat that I wanted to post it anyway...Don't know what kind so if you recognize this poor fellow without a head, give it a name...

i think people get tired of me shoving a camera in their face all the time...
