... and then little miracles happen ... 😊

then you have to!

Confidence has to be the most attractive trait, she's got this!

Good Morning off on a 4 mile run and then later Lily has her first doggy walk today, it will be interesting, hahaha. She had her last puppy vaccinations last week, so she should be safe and protected now from disease. I've bought a double lead... this is gonna be fun...

Here are some of my wild Blue Geraniums (Geranium Rozanne)

Have a great day

To capture a single spider monkey is one thing... then I photo'd two... and then there were three... wooooweee!

Then summer fades and passes and October comes.

We'll smell smoke then, and feel an unexpected sharpness, a thrill of nervousness, swift elation, a sense of sadness and departure.

Then a little, blue, lollipop bird

came to ME!

He told me to look up to the sky.

I did and saw marshmallow clouds.

The two lollipop birds took me

up to the blue, Laffy-Taffy sky,

and sat me on one of the marshmallow clouds.

After a long day working ... noticed that after two days of 50 MPH and then 30 MPH winds and sunny days, that clouds rolled in as the day was nearing an end and the winds died down to nothing.

Checked the radar and the passing front left behind a band of clouds over the Baltimore region ... and it was slowly dissipating.

I called my Dad about 40 minutes before sunset and asked if the river was smoothed out. He said it was nearly a mirror.

So I grabbed the camera gear and made a quick trip down to Middle River to see if Election Night would have some fireworks.

The conditions were great with the two days of strong winds out of the northwest resulted in a real low tide, so was able to get under some of the piers.

Here just as the sun set, the colors were golden and just beginning. The fireworks followed for about 20 minutes or more, so I ended up taking 75 captures from all kinds of perspectives given the reflections, clouds and low tide conditions.

Sunny and cold this morning and then......

I tried to get a good photo of this flying bird and the one that was sharp I had this country villa in the background.

Remnants of an old grain elevator, now part a cow pasture, on the outskirts of a sleepy Oklahoma town...Have a great fence friday all,60° here Sunday! It's snowing right now so we will see...LOL

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

(John 6:28-29)

And then, suddenly, in the midst of night and sleep,

I heard you sing. Not a song, just singing. It didn't last

long, but it kept me awake for about an hour, waiting

for more to come. Why would anyone sing in his sleep?

Why would you? Tell me that.

KHOP - Sleepy time.

I'd go wherever you will go

Way up high or down low,

I'd go wherever you will go.

One of the many Currawongs that frequently visit here. This time of year they are extremely playful and move around in groups. They often congregate on the kid's trampoline and frolic. Very intelligent birds - they spend time to study us - stopping and staring at us trying to figure us out.

Every now and then you see an image on Flickr that really impresses you. Just recently I saw two on Andy Gant's stream of two different boats. This is not my attempt to copy them, because they are unique, but to praise them. Very well done, I like what you do.

Also this is the last image that I will be posting to Flickr for at least two weeks. I have accumulated many books again and will be putting them on EBay. Book collecting is a great passion of mine but I only have enough space....Thanks to all that look at my stuff, to comment and to fav. Best regards Patrick

There are people who speak ill of the fog of Milan. I don't know that of the other countries, but this in Milan is a great fog, nice, affectionate, friendly. Allow everything like a caress. And then it seems to me that the fog invites to intimacy, optimism, confidence.

I dream of painting and then I paint my dream.

Young Lambs

The spring is coming by a many signs;

The trays are up, the hedges broken down,

That fenced the haystack, and the remnant shines

Like some old antique fragment weathered brown.

And where suns peep, in every sheltered place,

The little early buttercups unfold

A glittering star or two--till many trace

The edges of the blackthorn clumps in gold.

And then a little lamb bolts up behind

The hill and wags his tail to meet the yoe,

And then another, sheltered from the wind,

Lies all his length as dead--and lets me go

Close bye and never stirs but baking lies,

With legs stretched out as though he could not rise.

Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts.

Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts.

Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me...

Anything can happen, child. Anything can be

INFO 'The Domesday Book records Ringmore as a Devon Manor known then as ‘Ronmore’. Stephen de Haccombe, and his successors are know to have built three chapels in the area, two survive as chapels today, one at Haccombe, and the other is St Nicholas in Ringmore, Shaldon.

The third local chapel is only a ruin. Church Architects are of the opinion the St Nicholas is of 13th Century origins, a fact borne out by the East end Wall with it’s Lancet window-a fact accepted as proof.

Records of various events refer to this church, and the Register of Baptisms was started in 1616, prior to that, Baptisms had taken place at Haccombe. About this time, the Carew family –now Lords of the Manor of Haccombe, carried out repairs to St Nicholas, but the fabric of the building, and it’s architectural features were kept intact. Haccombe Church supplied the Clergy to the Church until 1621 when the first Clergy signed the Baptism register - Elezeus Coke.

Burial and Marriage registers were than started –and in 1671 Lord Clifford bought several local estates including the Manor of Ringmore with St Nicholas Parish. Bishop Keppel visited the church in 1768 and decided that care was needed to restore the Church.

By 1790 a large extension had been added, and a gallery built, along with various other improvements. Mention of a Church organ was made in 1827, but was then replaced with an early version of the Harmonium called a ‘Seraphine’. 1839 saw a gallery added to the North wall for the Sunday School, and a new roof with a domed skylight and wooden Bell tower added in1841. The original font had been removed, and replaced by the existing font-which is Saxon or early Norman.

Reverend Richard Marsh-Dunn cancelled plans for any more changes to St Nicholas, as he had decided to build a new church on the reclaimed land on Riverside in Shaldon.

This was consecrated and dedicated to St.Peter, and became the new Parish Church of St.Nicholas, South Devon in 1903. St Nicholas was subsequently renovated with funds generated by a generous benefactor, and was given the official title of Chapel of Ease.'

Spent the sunset at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, then made the drive back to Marble Canyon where we are staying. By then the the stars were really out and the moonlight was bathing the pretty views around Lee's Ferry, where you can enter the Grand Canyon. Here the old bridge (now used for pedestrians only) and the new bridge cross the Grand Canyon providing for this spectacular view of the Colorado River.

Early in the day we passed Horseshoe Bend when we traveled through Page ... and the long line of cars to get into the pull over was extensive. Have passed it several times now and never made the trek to photograph it. There are just too many other cool areas to photograph that many never get to see. This location we are staying is very pretty ... giving you access to the river where we will be swimming today, as well as access to both rims of the Grand Canyon. Planning on doing sunset along the south rim tomorrow, which I have not seen for nearly 15 years. Last time there did sunrise. So sunset will be a treat.

This area is also 30 minutes from Page, so you can access a lot there too. Nice thing about this spot, it is very quiet, with just two hotels. I had the park here and the bridge all to myself in the warm desert night breeze. A great time to relax and take 30 second exposures :))

Spent about 90 minutes taking captures from the bridge and down into the park on this evening. Tons to photograph. This evening will spend more time there for sunset and into the night.

Also if you look above where the river bends in the night sky, you will see that I also captured a shooting star in this 30 second capture. The light along the horizon is from Page, Arizona. Horseshoe Bend is actually not that far from here as well, just around the bend or two from Lee's Ferry which is just out of the frame where the river ends here in this photograph.

Zähneklappern, Zähneknirschen, und dazu die barschen, wirschen

Mienen, Blicke, Kommentare. Das muss das harte, wahre Leben sein,

Jedem sein Los, seine Last, seinen Trost, ich wär fast

Verzweifelt ob der Müh der langen Straßen. Was soll ich hier?

Chattering teeth, gnashing of teeth, and in addition the harsh, twisting

Expressions, looks, comments. That must be the hard, real life

Everyone his lot, his burden, his consolation, I was almost

Desperate at the effort of the long streets. What am I supposed to do here?

Don't see long ways, just see vanishing points on the way to you.

–– And then in your arm, all well, nothing else,

All you, all major, all just a tickling laugh, feel good,

These are moments like gifts, like drinks with lime juice and alcohol.

And then in your arm, all good, everything else doesn't matter, priceless hours, times the colorful pictures on your wall, days like seconds and you my prince and foundling in Wonderland.

–– And Patati and Patata, so much palaver and I harder and I wait and I stare.

Abracadabra, I'm there! A sheltering tent in your four walls,

With the window to the sky and the door to the world.

–– And then in your arm, all well, nothing else,

I'm free, I'm a child and we're on the go,

The world is open to discover

So we might as well be hiding here today.

And then in your arm, all well, nothing else,

All you, all major, would only be stupid if I now close my eyes and then open and suddenly you would not be there.
