Here's a recreation (kinda) of the battle against Reverse Flash in the end of season one. The pieces I used are pretty easy to recognize. Arrow's quiver was made from a normal lego bow. I cut off the molded string and arrow, and replaced it with a real string. All figures were hand-painted by me.
“Aaaaaahhhhhhgggg!” Heatwave snarled as he came to his senses, realizing his weapon was gone
“Did you just growl at me?” Barry mocked “I think it's time you cooled off!”
Running circles around Rory to distract him, The Flash placed the water bucket behind his advisory, before taunting him to take a strike. As expected, Heatwave charged Barry in a fit of rage, only to be met with an extremely fast red glove to the chest! One punch, and Mick stumbled backwards into the bucket, falling to the floor!
--------------------------------------
I gotta say, getting these two to balance long enough to shoot was extremely hard! I had built in a few studs to stand on for the build, but I never ended up using them as I had planed, so getting two different figures and a bucket of water in different positions was rather challenging :P
The final chapter will be posted tomorrow! :)
"Hey, wait for me! I'm supposed to be faster than a speeding bullet!"
"That's not how the story goes according to the writers of this comic book!"

________
September 25 Is National Comic Book Day
Today is a day to celebrate the popular entertainment and collector's item, the comic book. The first American comic book is seen as being Famous Funnies, which was released in 1933, although many books and comics predated it and helped lead to its creation. For example, an 1842 hardcover book titled The Adventures of Mr. Obadiah Oldbuck was made up of comics. In the early 20th century periodicals that contained comics were printed in the United States.
American comic books are divided into different eras.
The Golden Age of Comic Books: 1938 to 1956. Superman was one such person to arise during this time.
The Silver Age of Comic Books: 1956 to 1970. The Flash was reintroduced which began this time period.
The Bronze Age of Comic Books: 1970 to 1984
The Modern Age of Comic Books: 1984 to present
Knowing when your particular favorite comic book ‘hero’ was featured will help you understand the setting, mood, and character of the story lines, as well as the various powers and capabilities of the super-hero.
Over time, enhancements of former super-heroes appeared with better powers, faster speeds, greater strength, or keener insight.
The introduction of foreign countries’ contributions to the comic book market have also seen in influx of ideas, plots, characters, and of course villains.
How to Observe
Celebrate the day by reading your comic books, or going out and buying comic books! Go to a comic book store or look for upcoming comic book conventions. You could also trade comic books with friends, or draw your own comics, and create your own comic book.
Vibrating his body trying to shift his mass to a lower sound frequency, The Flash manages to escape the ear-wrenching grip of the Piper! Jumping into action, Barry manages to avoid another soundwave, then quickly dodging a punch from him as well! With a rather comedic 'snap' sound, The Flash reached out and clutched The Piper's flute! Barry snatches the sonic tool from his hands and immediately retreats before The Piper could even blink!
--------------------------------------
It's not over yet! The final chapter will be up tomorrow, so keep your eyes open! :)
Thomas Wanye saved Barry's life just in time! Aquaman had fallen, and in his defeat, triggered an atomic bomb to destroy all who remained in his wake. Barry had to think fast. What could he do to radically change the time stream? With Zoom gone, Barry could manipulate, and access the Speed-Force once more! But their had to be something that he could do! He'd have to go to the very source of the ripple in time to stop all this destruction from happening!
He picked himself up and began to hobble and walk. his leg burning in pain as he began to jog, to then reach a running pace "Come on Barry, faster!" he said out loud.
And without a moment's notice, Arthur's bomb went off and engulfed all in it's path....
---------------------------------------
We're nearly there! Second to last panel and things are picking up speed!
This was one I wasn't expecting to make, but I love how he turned out. Basically after making Rainbow Raider I had the idea, but lacked the motivation to make him, I think a few months after was when I finally decided to do so. I used a similar color pattern to Rainbow Raider and how this version appears in Lego Batman 3, with of course the added aception of the belt. I really love all of the detail and color patterns on him, hope I'll be able to finish more figure ideas soon.
AKA Barry Allen, the protector of Central City. As the Scarlet Speedster, Barry protects his city with his super speed and as a CSI for the CCPD.
The final character I built, part of the Heroes We Deserve project for BFVA 2017. I do have plans to make a few more hero characters, which will be added to the collection (they just weren't displayed at BFVA). Stay tuned for those!
Being one of my favorite superheroes, I really wanted to build the Flash. I'm not the biggest fan of the dark red costume used on the Flash TV show, so I used reference for his more classic costume, that he will be getting in the future.
I haven't seen many decent Flash builds at this scale, so I'm glad I was able to do my own character build. Super speed would definitely be my dream superpower.
Notice that the base foundation is lightning bolt shaped. ;)
I hope you enjoyed these figures that I exhibited at BrickFair VA 2017! As I said above, I will continue to make a couple more select figures to add to the collection, which will be posted here on my Flickr page. For next year, I'm hoping to do some villains. ;)
Hope you enjoyed these figures! Make sure to check them all out in the album.

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's let LEGO be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.
With the heat of an Atom Bomb on his heels, Barry ran faster and faster! Picking up speed he reached the coast and ran across the ocean surface, with a continent behind him engulfed in the explosion.
With what seemed like a split second, Allen burst through the time barrier and entered the Speed-Force!
For a moment there was nothing but the kinetic energy surrounding him, before he saw what looked like a Red Blur far in the distance.
Barry had to stop himself from changing the past, creating a Time Paradox. Removing his younger self from the Speed-Force, thus his current self would forever cease to exist!
Only moments after tackling himself, he fell unconscious and vanished into the Speed-Force....
Feeling extremely exhausted, Barry woke slowly from his work desk. He immediately got to his feet and with a smile shouted
"It worked! I'm home!"
--------------------------------------
Now there is a bunch I'd like to bash about DC Comics and the direction of The New 52, but all I've got to say is that Flashpoint was the best, hands down, comic book universe reboot. Like better than Crisis or any of the others. (I might be a bit biased though because I'm obsessed with Flash, but hey)
Anyway, We've come to the end of my biggest Photo Set to date. Consisting of 14+ images and over 8+ hours of production time (The build/Color Correction/Lightning Bolts...ect.) Lots and lots of work basically :P
I'm so incredibly proud of how these came out and I hope you all enjoyed viewing this set as much as I did creating it.
Thank you so much to all of you for the support and kind words and feed back :)
...I'm gonna go lay down for a while *phew*
So I finally got around to shooting and editing and writing and posting to patreon and now sharing publicly a few scenes with my latest obsession!
Minimates!
Woo! :P
I used a lot of standard Toy Photography techniques to build this scene but had a blast trying to bring it all together outside of Lego! I even used some knock-off building system elements (but hey it's all fair because it wasn't actually for a Lego project anyway!)
A big shout out to heinousfigures and minimatemasterworks on Insta for inspiring me and answering some rookie Minimate questions! You guys rock!
Anyway, you can check out all of the stuff that came out of this weird little tangent over on Patreon if you want! ;)

I have the awesome opportunity to meet Matt Letscher (Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne) this weekend at a local Comic Con. Really looking forward to meeting my favorite villain speedster! (Matt plays Reverse Flash on the CW.)
Hope you enjoy these guys.

So I don't know if you guys knew this or not, but The Flash Pilot (CW) was freed into the wild by an un-named source before it's debut at SDCC. If this were anything else, I'd be rather upset that someone would do such a thing to his or her own production team, but in this case, it's The Flash. aka, the best superhero (in my opinion) finally sees the light of day for the first time since the 90's....
So obviously, I couldn't help but watch it! :P (but still, really not cool that a crewmen would do such a thing to their team)
At any rate though, I went back into my archives and pulled a previously not posted shot of Barry here and tried my hand at the effects used in the pilot.
So rather than my standard of use a duplicate image to create the vibration effect, I used a poor and out of focus shot to layer into a half-decent in-focus one. Gave it a few different filters, and some lightning bolts (because why not) and it came out super intense!
But yeah, those are the specs about the image. Beyond this point, I speak spoiler talk for the episode, so you have been warned!!!
---------------------------------------
What did you guys think of that episode, huh?! Holyshitthatwascool!
Special effects, Action Scenes, A pretty cannon Origin Story! Woo!
Anybody have any theories to whom Harrison Wells will be? Perhaps Zoom? Or the "Professor Zoom" to which gives Eddie his powers?
Grodd! :D
Also, I find it funny that there is a total of six (if I counted correctly) people that know Barry is The Flash. Does anyone else think it's ironic that one of the big drama points with the Arrow show is the "Secret Identity" thing?
Also, is Weather Wizard just dead now or...?
All in all, though, this was fantastically incredible and I can't wait until October for more :)
This is a composite of several pictures.

Hey guys! It's been a while! I'm finally getting things rolling again since my computer crashed! Woo!
I was super lucky to finally get my hands on the ultra rare Black Flash from Christo!
Now I've been dying to share him with you for a long time now. This fig is incredible! Top notch quality and I got him for a great price from Andrew ( www.flickr.com/photos/customminifig/ ) at his website minifigs.co.uk :)
Anyway, yeah, we should be seeing some new series coming your way soon, especially with all the new 2015 DC sets to be coming out and what not (Really excited for those)
Oh one last thing, if you've missed it, I've been posting a lot of my daily photography (plus some lego, don't you worry) on my Instagram ( instagram.com/andrewcookston ), so be sure to check that out for sneak-peeks of sets and other fun things :)
Anyway, yeah, thanks for sticking around through the drought, you guys are the best :)
Here's another simple shot from The Dark Flash set showing off the awesome natural glow of this figure. I just can't get over how sleek this figure is though! If they were still available on Christo's website I'd buy another one just to have on display because like... dang.
I might just be a 'little' obsessed.... :P
This week’s posts are brought to you by our newest patron supporter, Riley Pilgrim! What a champ! You can go check out his flickr over here: flic.kr/ps/39xvrr

I wasn't very happy with the official Lego designs... so I fixed them! :P
Superman went through many different stages of design before finally setting into this here. Originally, I had designed him with no printed bricks and a different cape (waaay back before the Official Lego Set was released) and well, you can read about it on Patreon ;)
The Flash was very clearly built after CM4Sci's fantastic build, but with some minor tweaks for non-existent parts (like pearl-gold boomerangs – which I still think are the perfect choice!)

All as they appear in Lego Batman 3.
It's not the whole team but these are the ones that have been done really well so far.
Captain Boomerang is by OLS, Heatwave is by PCC, Captain Cold and the Trickster are by TLG.
Here is Batman from the front for those that are interested:

Left to right: The Flash, Black Canary, Superman, Hawkgirl, Batman, Green Lantern (John Stewart), Wonder Woman, Firestorm, The Atom and Aquaman.
One of my favorite bonus posts from The Red Death photoshoot!
Other than the lightning effects, the lighting effects were all done in camera! If you want to know how I did it, you'll have to check out the Patreon or more ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody!
2018 has been a crazy year for me! Having to do my best maintaining uploads while waiting on figures throughout the year, while also working two jobs on top of running the Patreon account!
If I thought I didn't have free time before, I'm impressed that I can get anything done at all! :P
Anyway, I'm sure you all remember last year I shared some of my favorite bonus posts from Patreon over the course of 2017. I felt like you all really enjoyed that, so here's only a teeny tiny fraction of what I've shared to Patreon in that time! (Plus a bit from the end of 2017)
If you like what I do, or the art that I put out to the world, I encourage you to join my Patreon page to see 100% of the work I put out there. It takes time and money and sweat and tears and blood (on more occasions than I'd like to admit) :P
If you too would like to be part of the club, be sure to join me over there and you'll get to see all of this stuff (plus more) as it's posted through-out the year! In 2019, I already have new projects scheduled including photoshoots for The Dark Knight Interrogation Room, More Dr Fate, Iron Man and Captain America, New Brickheadz, New Frontier Batman, Shazam etc... and these will be available to you first, plus bonus content for each of those uploads :)
So just think what you're missing out on! Think of what's to come! Help support the content you see here, and join some of our other flickr friends!
Here's a very special thanks and a happy holidays to all of you!
But a truly grateful thank you goes out to JamPotStudios, Phoenix Custom Bricks, Sara Ahh, Fan Xu, Metrix, | Jonathan |, DoctorLate28, ParisCustomBricks, Taylor Mazzone, My Mom, and of course a very special thank you to my first Patron (who's still with me today), Mr Anthony Scott himself! :)
You all do so much and help keep the lights on here in the photography studio. I couldn't have made it as far as I have now without you guys! :)
Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all you champs! See you in 2019! Woo! :D

Yup, seems I'm gonna be back to minifig posting for a bit. I photographed quite a few things, so provided I actually do upload them they'll keep me busy for a while. Why do I keep coming up with characters that look like they should have stories? Because I have nothing else to do I guess.
You may recognise these guys, they're the real life version of flic.kr/p/2kM5mFD . I did make a few changes though.
So let's see who we've got, from left to right:
Olympia - Not a clue where she fits in, she's an original character, just not very fleshed out. As you can probably tell, she's Wonder woman's successor. Tbh, I might change her to Nubia, but it depends on if I decide to do something else with her character. He said, as if this was going anywhere.
???? - I won't lie, he's just here to even out the numbers, I have very little details about him other than that he's the son of Green Arrow and Black Canary. He doesn't have a name, yet as you can tell.
Hawk Girl - First one from the digital version. I did make some changes though. She's Hawkman and Hawk woman's daughter, and doesn't appear to have any wings. It's only when she puts on her helmet that they appear...somehow.
Superman - Finally, one I know something about. Jonathan Kent, natural born (this will be important later) son of Superman and Lois Lane. Same as before, at some point he assumes the mantle of Superman.
Aquaman - One of the Aqua twins. Same as before, son of Aquaman and Mera.
Batwoman - Now this is the biggest change to the team. Ironic that they only exist because of the son of Bane version of Batman, but he's no longer on the team. Barbara Gordon assumed the mantle of Bat-woman after Bruce died...at some point. Before this, she was Batgirl, Bruce's right hand woman. I'll do the new Batman's bio separately.
The Flash - Same as before, Jay Garrick, older than the rest of the team blah blah blah
Miss Martian - White Martian version, cos I don't have a green head for her
Aqua-woman - The other half of the Aqua-twins. She's not really on the team, she only really deals with Atlantis issues, while her brother gets to play hero. Like ????, she's only here to make up the numbers.
And that's about it. The next generation JL is literally the next generation, all bar two. Oh, GL isn't in it, cos like I said there's no way to do her irl. Just realised there's no Donna Troy either. I might use her instead of Olympia, but not in the form she was in. The irl version wasn't as bad as the digital one, but it still wasn't great.
And I think that just about wraps things up. The real version of the Batmobile will be uploaded....at some point, so keep an eye out for that I guess.
Originally wasn't going to upload these, but they've slowly grown on me so... yeah :P
Trickster's primarily based on his appearance in JL:U
Now this was a fun piece to work with. Fun Fact, no mirrors were used in the creation of this shot. Using four different primary images, a stationary camera/tripod set-up, and a good couple of post production hours logged, we come to this; something I have never done before that turned out super sweet.
Now, I know typically, my Rouges figs tend to come out with a little bit of a story to introduce them, but just because of how invested in how this would turn out, I dedicated more time to the execution in favor of the "story-element" that could have been. No shame in that though, because it still turned out awesome anyway.
Just keep an eye out for another Mirror Master piece from this set tomorrow :)
This detailed mural is on the side of a comic book shop on Central Avenue in east Albuquerque New Mexico.
Something spontaneous that I photographed and shared to Patron a few months back. There wasn't anything beyond this, but I thought it was pretty cool. Kudos if you can recognize the original panel this was inspired by :)

Looks like Zoom isn't too happy about The Captain getting the drop on him.
This chilling fight is neck and neck still, but looks as though Zoom might be making a comeback!
We can only wait and see what happens! Stay tuned tomorrow for Part 4!
A pretty creepy and cool version of the Flash that I decided to make, he's basically a combination of his comic appearance and CW appearance (well the mask part and logo at least, I thought it would be cool). I really love how this turned out, the most difficult part was trying to draw the logo and muscle details, for him I had to make it muscley, as well as dead and zombie like.
Hello my batfamily.
So today i've reach 100 followers and all i have to say is Thank you.
Even tho i've been on this community for 3 years i haven't been as active as i been on this past year and i never expected to came this far.
I've always been a pretty shy guy especially showing my work to other people. That was why i didn't post anything in a while.
Until i was ready to show something i was proud of and i hopped people like it as well...My Tumbler it didn't had as much support but i was really happy with it.
Then for AoU i was making my own War Machine but because a lot of people here are Customizers so i didn't wanted to upload him but i did and quite some people like him.
You all know the story since then so Thank You to all the amazing people i've met here you all are awesome !!!
Regarding the photo some of the figures there are my first few customs back from 2010 ,2012,2013(My Destiny Beta Warlock,Halo CE Anniv Chief and Iron Man Mark 1) i never show them to anyone so there they are, also there are some teaser there ;)
Anyways guys as i've said plenty of times Thank You for all the support you guys give to me i am glad you all like my stuff and i hope i can still do this in the years to come.
Hope you all are having a fantastic week.
Enjoy/Be the Batman/May the force be with you...
