As most of you have predicted, I give you the one, but not only, Mr Captain Boomerang The First (or second depending on which Flash we're referring to)

And I suppose this piece takes it's place as part 2 of 3 in Cap's photo series.

Thanks for all of your comments and support guys, it means a lot :)

The Flash VS Tar Pit, Mirror Master, Heatwave, Pied Piper, Professor Zoom, Gorilla Grodd, Captain Boomerang, Weather Wizard, Captain Cold, The Trickster and King Shark

The Flash was immediately lifted off the ground with such a force that felt like a punch from Solomon Grundy! Through the turbulence and debris he was taken within, Barry could just make out the glow of Mardon's wand, but it was fading fast! The Weather Wizard was sucking the oxygen out of the cyclone!

Struggling to keep the air in his lungs, The Flash began to spin in the opposite direction of the wind current! Then suddenly a pop and wurring, the sound of the cyclone being emancipated punctured Barry's ears. The Flash took in a well needed deep breath, got his balance, and snapped back into action!

I feel like now would be a nice time to note that a big inspiration for the build was based off of Tim Lydy's recent Day's of Future Past Brickworld build ft Storm (Marvel) and a motorized Tornado: flic.kr/p/uHA5W1

Now I'll be honest, my little build is a fraction of the size, but the use of 1x2 Trans-Clear Plates can be contributed to him :)

Part 3 slated for tomorrow! Keep an eye out :)

Really proud of this. I also made a Green Arrow and Power Woman, but I couldn't get a good shot of all of them.

Left To Right

The Flash: One of my favorites. This is just my Human Torch, with a Jay Garrik Hat on it, but it really works with the character. also, expect a JSA photo in the near future

Green Lantern: My other favorite of this bunch. really like Lex Luthor's armor for him.

Wonder Woman: Pretty Strait forward.

Norman McCay: Simple but very effective.

Superman: Very proud of him. The torso is painted, and it was hard, but it came out pretty well.

Specter: I'm sorry, but the Specter's original costume is pretty bad, with nothing but a green speedo under his awesome cloak, so I did a bit of reworking.

Batman: Not to happy with this, but i do like it. his wings are the same from the Green Lantern set but painted black.

Captain Marvel: Just my normal figure.

Red Robin: Definitely the worst of these, but it works.

Beacon Hill (Chinese: 煙墩山 or Chinese: 筆架山; Cantonese Yale: Pat Ka Shan) is a hill in the northern part of Kowloon peninsula in Hong Kong. It is the 65th highest hill of Hong Kong. It is 457 m tall.

Beacon Hill is located within the Lion Rock Country Park.

The tower atop Beacon Hill is not open to the public, and is a facility maintained by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department.

Alright, here we finally get to see all of the Suicide Squad on camera at the same time! (Plus a little bit of the background build too!)

Man I don't know about you, but I feel like I might have over done this a little. I probably didn't need to go and shoot every fig individually... or take a couple weeks writing bios for all of those figs... or take a week to upload them all... but whatever :P

Man this was a really fun project to work on though and I'm glad how it turned out all in all :)

I've been holding my tounge in the comments until the entire set had been uploaded, so now I'll be trying to get back to most of your questions that you all had for me.

I hope you guys enjoyed these figs as much as I did making them :)

This is actually a recreation of a photo I took back in February 2014, utilizing some new photography tricks I've learned since then. You can read all about that process and the thinking behind it in my new blog post: www.thereeljames.com/blog/on-revisiting-recreating

With this one I really wanted to show off Christo's reflective printing over the figure. Only a minor spot-check went into this shot so all that you see here is genuine. I'm really proud of how the lighting turned out with this piece.

PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVORITE

I've been waiting to make this one for a while, but my Brainiac set only came last night, so here we are. i have more leaguers, but i could only fit so many in here. i might take some solo shots of a few of theses guys, spesificly wonder woman and green arrow. i made ww a laso out of copper wire and you can't really see it, but you still kinda can. same goes for GA, i gave him the superboy arms and thy look awesome with him, so i might do that soon. anyways, here we go.

UG Minifigures Red Death Flash has got it all!

Front printing, back printing, leg printing, underarm printing, a custom made headpiece, a chromed bat-symbol!

Then on top of all that, the design itself so well replicated that when you look at it, makes you hear Motörhead or Black Sabbath almost immediately :P

Dude! Holy cow! Talk about giving Christo a run for his money! :P

Now, to be fully honest, Christo still has a litttttle better quality custom molded parts, but as far as prints go, this fig takes the cake! I mean, this figure has a chrome print! How cool is that! What a neat idea to vacuum metalize this fig of all figs!

A Dark Knight Metal Death Flash ft. Vaccum Metalized prints! How good is that! :P

...I mean really though, if UG should be known for anything, it should be their chroming of their figs! Like, take a look at their Doctor Fate! :P

There are so many things to appreciate about this figure! The design is fantastic and the finest of details in the helmet mold are amazing! It's a super sleek and clean looking figure! FunnyBrick and UG are blowing my mind with this figure and I’m really glad to own one! :)

This has got to be one of my newest favorite figures I own, with out a doubt in my mind! :)

Okay boys this is gonna get really complicated really quickly so hold on to your cowls!

To know who The Bat Who Laughs is, requires you to know about DC’s “alternate earths” concept.

So back in the 1940s there was only one earth, until Gardner Fox brought back the JSA in the 1960s. So then there was two earths, then three, then an infinite number of earths and then George Perez killed them all with a giant space alien robot. So because of that there was only one earth again, then there was Hypertime in the 90s which we don’t talk about, then there was a few of them again because Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns or something, then Barry Allen had a Flashpoint and there was 52 of them for what ever reason. Then after a few years, now we’re here in DC Rebirth (kinda) where it’s a little ambiguous how many earths there are right now.

So now take all of that info as if it was written on a piece of paper. One side of the paper is white; that represents all the stuff I just said. On the other side of that paper, it’s all black.

That “other side” of the multiverse is what Scott Snyder calls The Dark Multiverse #spooky

"OKAY SO THE DARK MULTIVERSE IS THIS PLACE OF INFINITE DARK EARTHS WHERE EVERY POSSIBLE THING THAT COULD GO BAD HAS GONE BAD. THE BAT WHO LAUGHS IS FROM ONE OF THESE EARTHS WHERE BATMAN WENT CRAZY AND TURNED INTO THE JOKER AND HAS LITTLE ROBIN GOBLINS FOR PETS. SO HE AND THIS DUDE BARBATOS HOOKS UP WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER DARK MULTIVERSE JUSTICE LEAGUE MEMBERS LIKE BATMAN FLASH AND BATMAN CYBORG AND BATMAN DOOMSDAY ALL BECAUSE BATMAN IS SO F-ING COOL AND MAKES US SO MUCH MONEY OMG" -- The DC Executives

Aaaand that's Dark Knights Metal in a nutshell (this took way to long to write and I left out A LOT of details like about Hawkman being an earth forger and all the stuff about n'th metals and junk about the source wall and shit, plus all the radical costume designs that sound like Death Metal when you look at them).

It's a cool story.

Also...comics are dumb and super complicated :P

AKA Cisco Ramon, scientist of S.T.A.R. Labs. After the Particle Accelerator explosion, Cisco became more than just a scientist. He became a hero of Central City.

Part of the Heroes We Deserve project for BFVA 2017.

Vibe was the second character to be completed for my collection at BFVA. I'm really happy with how he came out, and his base design is very cool. He's also the most sturdy character. I can actually pick him up and "play" with him, like an action figure. I added the portal/breach very last minute, but I think it was a nice addition to have behind Vibe.

I'm sure not many people know about Cisco / Vibe, especially if you don't watch the Flash TV show that airs on the CW. I really like his character, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who has built Vibe before.

Notice that the base is round...like a portal.

Hope you like him!

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's let LEGO be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.

Like a bullet from a gun, The Flash shot forward! Quickly reaching out, he disabled the Reflection Generator, then without a seconds notice, charged Scudder, throwing him directly into the machine, destroying the device!

--------------------------------------

It looks like The Flash is coming out ahead on this one! Find out who wins this fight by checking back tomorrow!

“Burn! BURN!! Hahaha! If I can't get my money, then no one can!”

Barry arrives on the scene just in time to wittiness a deal gone south! It looks as though Mick Rory had some kind of a supply trade set up, old flame equipment for cash, but the deal's gone south! Barry's got to end this soon before the whole district is burned down!

Heatwave is back and he's out for revenge! Do you think The Flash can cool him off!?

--------------------------------------

Rory's new suit was designed with The CW Flash costume, and The New 52 version in mind. A lot of folks may disagree with me, but I actually enjoy the New 52 look. It's one of the few changes that I didn't totally flip-out over. I like the old jumpsuit look as well, but in an artistic point of view, this one is a little more fun to look at!

What do you guys think?

Part 2 comes tomorrow! :)

In a split second, The Scarlet Speedster successfully took down Mirror Master's lab, and stopped his Reflection Generator from engulfing all of the Gem Cities! But this was only the first of many trials for The Flash!

There is much more to come....

--------------------------------------

Well that's a wrap! Hope you all liked this photo set, because this is just the tip of the iceberg! I've got close to six more characters to showcase over the next month or so, so keep your eyes peeled! :)

Another DC figure starting with the Flash characters.

The entire suit is a metallic red with gold and metallic white details.

The inspiration for this fig was Wavy Flims Flash so check him out.

Basically everything is painted including the face. The emblem on the torso is a bit of the rod pieces and the cowl was the official cowl with the lightning bolts sanded and cut off.

Everything else was easy.

So the shows are back and so is this series. These figs are pretty simple but I like them.

Gypsy: Simple. I like her character and I like the figure. E-tape torso and painted legs. The head is from the LBM series 1.

Mr Terrific: not a huge fan of his character but I like this figure. Everything is painted and he is pretty simple.

Zari Tomaz: Her character has been interesting and I liked the suit used in the crossover. I doubt it will be used very often but I wanted to make it anyway. Modified hairpiece, hermione head with painted lips, painted torso, waist cape and painted legs.

Yup, seems I'm back to minifig posting. Came up with IRL versions of most of these last week, and cos I can't be asked to photograph them, I made them in Mecabricks instead.

So this is the next generation of the Justice league, the children and protege's of the original. But probably not the ones you're expecting. Ngl, I haven't really thought a lot of these out, so they're all a bit vague. So we have:

Top:

Hawkgirl - Now she was a last minute addition, so I've not quite worked out if she's the daughter of the original Hawks, or if she's just Shayera Hol.

Middle:

Superman - Now this one's a bit easier, this is Jonathan Kent. At some point he assumed the mantle of Superman, maybe after Clark retired or something like that.

Green Lantern - I went for Soranik, Sinestro's daughter, for GL. Not really sure why, just thought it'd be neat to try. I'm quite impressed with how she looks, shame the parts don't exist to make her irl.

Ms Martian - Now the real version of her is a white Martian, but cos I had more flexibility digitally, I made her digital version green.

Bottom:

The Flash - Now I made an interesting decision with the Flash, and decided that he would be Jay Garrick. It's a weird combo, at first I wasn't sure about the James Potter head, but it grew on me. He's a bit of an odd one cos he's one of the older members of this team, gaining his powers a little later in life. Not really sure when, but I'll say he was closer to 40 than 30.

Aquawoman - Or a better name, cos it's a bit similar to her brother. Yes, she's one of the Aqua-twins, which again, I wasn't sure about, but the irl versions look quite good together. She takes after her father, and is next in line for the Atlantean throne.

Aquaman - He takes after his mother, and as a result is very proficient in Aqua-kinesis. Bit of a shake up, but I made him the leader of the team. I was gonna have Soranik, but as she's a GL, and often off-world, it made sense to give the role to someone more Earth based.

Batman - Now this guy is the reason I made a full team. He came together a while ago when I was came up with a rough idea that saw Batman take Banes sone, unnamed (cos I can't do names to save my life), under his wing and basically work with him for many years, before finally handing over the mantle to him.

Wonder woman - I went with Donna Troy for WW, just cos she was easier to make. She looks better irl, I had to improvise the legs cos the ones I used don't exist in mecabricks. Bit of a pain, but what can you do.

And that's the lot of them. It was fun making a new JL roster with more original characters than you'd normally see. And it's the release of the Snyder cut of JL today too, so that's a nice coincidence.

Hopefully I'll get to photographing the real versions at some point...

Can I just say, Mark Hamill’s costume in The Flash is THE WEIRDEST design in the CW roster!

I mean like James Jesse from the original 60's Flash run was really reserved with the black cape, striped pants, and a colorful pirate shirt, but this! This outfit is just wild and... I kind of love it! :P

On the other hand, Flash’s costume design is very Tim Burton-y with the padding and the dark colors, but at least it’s kind of in line with how Flash generally looks, but man, Trickster is just all over the place!

Granted, most of the villains in on The Flash show were a bit left of center (like Captain Cold with his dumb trench coat and Jack Frost lookin' hair) but man, the costume department went just off the rails with his argyle/polka dot/checkered/striped/multi-colored hair aethstetic! :P

I tried my best to translate it and I think it turned out alright in the end!

"Signs indicate heavy showers and a lightning storm proceeding the cold front...."

I'll give you a cookie if you can guess who might be behind Central City's recent lightning storms ;)

Tending to The Rival's goons in record time, Jay sped into the vault only to find the gang's leader himself loading another sack full of money. The Rival's eyes snapped onto Garrick's and he scowled. "Flash! Why I never thought I'd see the likes of you again!" The Rival said angrily.

"That's where you're wrong, ol'chum!" Jay cocked a smile, "Your chemical gasses may have slowed my body, but my mind was still racing!” While he spoke, Garrick subtly examined the room at top speeds looking for a way to outwit his opponent.

“Curses! My Hard-Water formula was a perfect opposite to your speed-equation! It had taken me years to develop it!” The Rival quaffed, shaking a fist in the air.

“I have a hunch you'll find plenty of time to work out those kinks behind bars!” Flash adjusted his helmet and dug in his heels....

"We'll see if you can still race when I'm done with you!" The Rival shouted and took a swift step forward. But The Flash was too fast! "Not if this simple right-cross has anything to say about it!" Jay challenged, faster than a speeding bullet, he put his foot behind Rival's, and threw his fist so fast that it knocked Rival clean off his feet and into a pile of freshly printed bills!

--------------------------------------

History time!

The first appearance of The Rival was back in February of 1949 [Flash Comics #104]! The original story, to which this comic set was based, follows Jay Garrick investigating a kidnapping by some Super-Speed gangsters, leading him to be captured by The Rival. A nemesis of sorts wearing a costume like Jay's for no discernible reason. Now I won't spoil it because it's actually not too bad, and I recommend you read it :)

Apart from that, The Rival has only appeared in a few issues of Geoff Johns' JSA, and has only made a few cameos here and there throughout the years. He's a surprisingly under used character in the Flash-Mythos, and I was honestly shocked to find out Christo was making one, because like, who the heck actually knows who this is besides like me, Catanas, and maybe Levi :P

Suffice to say, I'm really glad I managed to pick this fig up. (I'm still pretty bitter about missing his First Appearance Batman tho... Grr)

Anyway, the final chapter is out tomorrow! :)

Pennington Country Park – The Flash – From Horrocks Hide, as you look along the centre of the photo what we now call “The Spit” was once a railway line carrying coal from mines to all over the country. Passenger trains also used it.

A Flash is a water-filled hollow formed by subsidence. Pennington Flash is a 70-hectare lake created at the turn of the 20th century by coal mining subsidence, mainly from Bickershaw Colliery. Before the flash the area contained two farms, both of which were abandoned in the early 1900s due to flooding. Once used as a refuse tip the early members of the newly formed Leigh Ornithological Society fought to have the area designated as a Nature Reserve and it was opened as that in 1981 and they still do lots of volunteer work to preserve the area today

Eobard had finally caught the upper hand. Knocking Barry to the ground and severely damaging one of his legs, pausing to reflect on his victory before taking Allan's life.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" He said mockingly, gesturing to the fight around them. "Don't you like what I've done with the place?" He chuckled, changing his tone before looking into Barry's eyes,

"Do you remember all of your worst childhood moments? The death of your best friend? You dog running away from home? It was me Barry! Me!" He let his words sting and eat away through Barry's wounds.

"I've broken you." He paused, then smiled for a moment, "Oh by the way... how's you Mom?"

Thawne smirked pridefully and raised his weapon for the kill....

"What about me?" Shouted a stranger from behind him.

Eobard's last words slithered out of his mouth just moments before Thomas Wayne came out from behind and stabbed him through the heart.

"Word of advise; when you're in the middle of a war, don't stand still"

---------------------------------------

Ok ok ok....

Can we just talk about how freaky messed up Zoom is? Like, dude went from crazy obsessed with The Flash (so much to go into plastic surgery to make his face like Barry's) Then travel through time only to be severely scarred by the Speed-Force and pull a flip-a-roo and go nuts on everything in Allen's life and kill both his Mom and childhood friends.

Dude's definitely far past Coo-coo for Coco Puffs.

This without a doubt was fun to make, mostly because of that rainbow body of his. I just want to say I'm extremely proud with how he turned out, oh yeah I also gave him rainbow studs because why not.
