“I won't be stuck here for long you know! The Flash will find you!” Iris shouted through the thick ice of the prison she was encased within.
“The Flash isn't coming for you or me!” Captain Cold snapped back “Only an idiot would try and stop me! With you at my ransom, The Mayor will have to give in to my demands!”
“And you think The Flash will wait for him to gather all that money?”
“I'll make him wait! And if he tries anything, I'll stop him cold!”
Suddenly a rush of hot air entered the room followed by the sound of crackling lightning!
“Well, I guess he really is an idiot...”
--------------------------------------
Captain Cold is back, and he's kidnapped Iris West!
I finally get to show off my new version of Leonard Snart to you guys! Woo! His primary design was based off of the sleeveless New 52 costume with a twist of my own, giving him holsters for his new dual Freeze Guns :)
All in all I'm pretty happy with this figure and how he's turned out, plus Iris is pretty great too, but you'll see more of here later :)
Anyway, Part 2 comes tomorrow so keep an eye out! :)
The Collab Patrol strikes again!
This time we came through and made our own, single character versions of The Justice League! Naturally I had to pick The Flash!
Be sure to check out the CollabPatrol hashtag over on instagram if any of you guys want to see the rest of the figs we all came up with! It was a blast! :)

So you all remember that one time I made a Steampunk JLA, and then a Cowboy JLA, and then a modern JLA that pissed everybody off?! Well now here we are once again with the Medieval JLA! :P
I even came up with some bio’s for them this time!
L-R:
Sir Bartholomew The Swift. His father was caught in a fierce storm and was struck from the heavens, dying where he stood like a cooked hen. When his Mother was accused of witchcraft against his Father, it drove Bartholomew to never keep still and bring honor back to his family name.
Haldor The Emerald Warlock. Current bearer of the mystic Moss Agate, Haldor was abducted by mysterious forest guardians after discovering the body of the previous mystic bearer. Not much is known of him, but stories say the forest is filled with the magic users that keep peace across the land.
Sir Wayne of Gothshire, The Dark Knight. After witnessing his elders poisoned by the Jester of Gothsire, Brutus vows to wreak vengeance upon those who wish to reign chaos across his kingdom. With his young ward The Cardinal, they battle all who seek to ruin his home.
The Superb Kaleb Cadwell of Kryptoa. Found and raised by peasant potato farmers, Kaleb grew into a strong and noble man, set to keep his kin and country safe. A strong, stable, and noble man of many qualities is a hero to all! Nothing too great or small!
The Wolf of Themyscira. Little is known of The Wolf. Some say she is the sole descendant of an ancient people of warrior women from the Greek Isles. Others weave tales that The Wolf is Hades offspring, destined to roam the land for eternity. But only she knows her past, and she will not share it.
Sir Oliver of Greenland. The nobleman turned hero of the people. The once rich and powerful figure left his royal life to give back to his people in spite of Merlyn The Violet Archer taking his place on the throne. ...For now.
King Arthur of The Celtic Sea. A being known only as an deep ocean dweller, who comes to the surface once every four seasons to ward off any who claim to one day claim siege to his beloved drenched city. Most see him as nothing more than a hermit soaking in kelp, but only a small number of land dwellers know the true reign his grasp holds.

I recently (like two months ago) picked up BrothersFigure's Black Lantern Superman, and wanted to photograph him! Simple as that! I took a day or two to build a spooky graveyard and somehow all of my other Black Lantern's joined in the shoot, so here we are!
Not much to chat about, but if you'd like to see my Nekron or Black Hand figs, go check out my newest Patreon posts! I took some really great shots of Nekron lookin' like a badass, and you're totally missing it right now! Besides the MF's, you can also see the full build, and a bunch of other BTS stuff like lighting and tombstones and junk!
...Plus, a sneak peak at some White Lanterns too ;)

If you can't get enough of these zombo's, RISE to the occasion! Pateron's got some KILLER stuff It's got earlyRISEing photography, behind the scenes GRAVEYARDS. Plus previews to upcoming projects that are full of LIFE! ...if you get what I mean ;)
...These aren't funny are they? :P
I almost forgot to share this too!
I finally got a hold of my Gold/Red Flash (or The New 52 Flash as Christo likes to call it... though it hardly looks like Jim Lee's work or the character)
Anyway, I took the time to review this figure too over on Patreon, so check it out if you wanna read more about him! :)

L-R White Canary, Firestorm (Ronnie) by OLS, Speedy by SH Customs, The Flash by OLS, The Green Arrow by SH Customs, The Atom by OLS, Black Canary by SH Customs, Firestorm (Jax) by OLS, Arsenal - SDCC 2015 exclusive and finally, at the back, Captain Cold by OLS.
A fantastic group of figs here but still a few to get. Really hoping to pick up the OLS Katana and Dark Archer soon. We all need a Spartan fig as well as Vixen, Heatwave, Rip Hunter and Constantine, I'd personally love to see Felicity, Cisqo And Caitlin too.
Continuing the weird figs we have the flash figbarf .
From L to R ;
Captain Cold
The Flash ( Barry Allen )
Heatwave ( I've already made a new Heatwave so this guy is outdated and the new one will be coming soon )
So I finally have gotten my hands on the new wave of DC sets and I am up to my ears in new figs (which is a very wonderful thing).
But before I really got into it with some of the new figs in new photoshoots, I wanted to showcase my updated JLA, which is almost a year old.
But anyway, this shot features Eight purist figs, Four Christo Figs, One onlinesailin figure, and a single eclipseGRAFX minifig to top it all off.
I'm very proud of how they've all turned out, and with time, we should be seeing them in their own shoots independently, in the coming months :)
But yeah, I'm super excited for this year and all the projects and figs I've got planned, and I can only hope you'll stick around with me to see them come to life :)
So back in December of 2019 I ordered this fig and despite it being nine months since the figure was first announced, it’s an astoundingly short amount of time for a figure to be produced by Christo7108. I still have figures on my waiting list from him from 2018! It’s almost become a running gag in the custom minifig community that Christo is the SLOWEST customizer these days (and sadly it didn’t used to be that way). Now I say all this because this isn’t quite the figure I preordered. It’s got different leg printing, there are thicker lines that look less polished, and the helmet piece is quite different!
You can see the other photos on my Patreon review that, in his original listing of the figure, you can note how it’s similar, but is by no means as sharp as what I’ve come to expect from Christo. It feels less like a custom figure worth $120 and more like an official Lego fig. Now I don’t know why the cowl in particular was changed, but custom parts alone can be what really makes or breaks a fig. The wrap-around winglets feel like a cheap choice when compared to the countless Flash figures he’s put out before. However I should note that it is nice to get a fig with leg-printing from Christo because we all know he’s been very prone to skipping leg print all together lately. Not to mention that there’s a strong lack of texture compared to his S1 CW Flash, or even a fig like PCB’s recent Rami Spider-Man making good use of dead color space.
As far as quality is concerned, it’s Christo. You’re getting what you pay for. Not a scratch or speck of dust on the figure until you pull it out of his branded fancy shipping container. There’s a collectors card dated for January 2018, which strikes yet another question for me… Did this figure begin production that long ago and only announced it in late 2019 to downplay the fact that this figure is well over two years old…? Not to mention that there is a 2020 date on the inside of the head piece which only further adds to the conundrum….
But you wanna know the weirdest thing?! ...I still like the fig (I think?)! It captures the essence of the Season 6 CW suit in the best ways. It’s got Grant’s cheeky smile, and the red and gold absolutely shines! It’s just a shame that there seem to have been compromises made to the fig over all.
But I’m curious what you all think! Is this figure a sign of the times that Christo is still trying to put out figures in good time? Or do you like the more adaptive Lego-Look he seems to have captured with this one?

So in response to my Black Lantern Photoshoot, I went right along and photographed my UG Minifigure's White Lantern Batman, along side my Onlinesailin Kyle (with a different head) and Christo's WL Flash (with a different head) :)
Again, not a whole lot to say about this one either, other than it all stemmed from that Black Lantern Superman photoshoot and turned into a project I had no plans to take seriously :P
Anyway, Patreon has all the info you could ever want about this photoshoot, like the lighting and photography set-up (to name a few things)! :)
Oh I almost forgot! I joined brickly last weekend! The guys over there promoted me to an Official Brickly Artist and I feel inclined to tell you all about it!
If anyone's interested, it's a free app that's just all Lego content! (It's a little like Instagram/Tumblr but just for Lego!) itunes.apple.com/us/app/brickly-capture-everything-in-lif...
I'm over there @andrewcookston; I pretty much just plan to share the same posts from here, over there but feel free to follow me :)
But yeah, not much to say about the White Lanterns so I'm out!
See you dudes next week or something!

"Probably my last photo of 2016"
lolololol
Just got a really interesting book about called super graphics, which had an interesting parallel between super heroes and primary colors (Blue, Red, and Yellow), so I made this.
It was a this moment Barry had to build as much momentum as possible, the only way he knew he could. With a smirk, The Flash blasted past Zoom and left him standing there in his dust. Maybe two or three seconds pass before Barry flashed by again, and again, gaining speed with each pass while Eobard caught his bearings, but that would hardly soften the blow. Thawne could hear a faint rupture in the sound barrier as he saw the dust from Barry's wake rise behind him! He was getting closer, faster, Zoom could just now make out the heat-shield in front of The Flash, but it was too late!
“Oh shi--”
Barry's fist met Thawne's jaw quicker than any speedster could respond! It was followed by another punch, and another! Barry shouted as loud as he could, the power of The Speed-Force carried him forward and struck Zoom a final time with the speed of a thousand lightning bolts, emitting an electrical charge that sent Eobard flying backwards, tumbling like a ragdoll almost ten feet from where Barry's boots had come to rest.
Barry panted and wheezed to catch his breath. He did it. The Speed-Force was balanced once more.
--------------------------------------
Justice is served! The final panel will be up tomorrow to conclude the story :)
Inspired by Ethan Van Sciver's piece from The Flash: Rebirth (the first one from 2009 or whatever)
If you know it, than you know it, if you don't then you should, because it's an absolutely stellar work of art! This photoshoot was brought to you by messing around with my new Bart Allen (Impluse) fig from DiamondCustomBricks! I had been wanting to do a shot like this for ages now, and with Impluse now in hand, I made this semi-decent recreation!
If you guys wanna see more content from around this shoot like bonus stuff with DiamondBricks Inertia figure, or an in-depth review of Impluse's rubber-casted headgear (rubber! i know right!), than head over to Patreon and get the goods!
Also, I don't feel like I say this enough, but thank you to all my Patreon supporters, you guys really rock, and help keep the lights on and the photos to keep coming!
But here's a very special thank you! This last week, my newest Patron, good ole Don Hyun joined the club! Thanks Don! I hope you enjoy your stay! :)
But yeah... thanks to all of you guys and gals supporting the page, you're all best! I genuinely couldn't do this with out you guys!

This Blue Lantern Flash figure by Christo is incredible! This is such a fun MF and I'm super glad to have him as part of my collection of speedsters :)
With this help of a friend, we've figured that Christo uses Vacuum Metallizing to get the reflective qualities applied to his figures. Here is a few links to some info about it and a few places that produce "Chrome Elements" if you haven't seen it already:

Model Cars/Commissions: www.chrometechusa.com/model-cars-and-collectibles.html

I had so much fun shooting this fig that there were a bunch of other images besides this one that we may see in the future if you guys want me to post them, otherwise....
Next week we see the return of The Rouges to my photostream! :D
Updated figs, new adventures, and a bunch of Flash fun! I'm super excited to show them off (I've been shooting these set's since about March) and I'm sure you're gonna love them!
PS I'm super in love with this new lightning technique, and I hope you guys like it too :)
Flash of Two Worlds
The Flash No.123 (Sept 1st 1961)
Cover by Carmine Infantino
Story by Gardner Fox
This was a big head-turning story for DC Comics. It was not only the return of Jay Garrick into modern continuity, but the introduction to DC's Multiverse. Before this issue The Golden Age (as it is referred to now) was but a distant memory, and Jay himself hadn't seen the pages of a book in about 20 years or so. This story opened up new possibility's for DC's writers and saw the resurgence of many Golden Age Heroes, most notably being the JSA (Hawkman, Allan Scott GL, The Spectre).
But yeah, this issue was written appropriately by Gardner Fox, one of the creators of Jay's origins, and a regular writer with Flash Comics (1940). Now one thing to note, in The Silver Age continuity, Jay Garrick of Earth-1 is a comic book character, despite being a “real” person on Earth-2 (I know, meta). Anyway, at the end of this issue, Gardner Fox makes a cameo when Barry Allan surprises him with the knowledge that the character he created was real the whole time! (I really like that corny stuff)
To his credit, Gardener Fox was a fantastic writer for his time, and arguably, The Father of The Multiverse in my opinion. Seriously though, if you have a favorite DC character, Fox has probably had a hand in their story at one point or another. Go check out his Comicvine page for his anthology and be prepared to have your mind blown.
The Original Cover: static2.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_large/11122/111224684...
PS.
So I suppose we could consider this my second entry into Shane and John's contest in theory. Now I wasn't sure I was gonna get this uploaded in time, because quite frankly, I ordered Jay from Christo a day after he submitted it to his ebay page... That was back in January. So you could see why this nearly didn't happen in time. Working the title/cover images into the photograph takes a bit of time, so personally I felt a little rushed with this, but I made it! (This cover was my first choice, but Jimmy Olsen panned out quicker than this one)
Oh, and on another tangent, a big thanks to Nexus for pushing me to looking into new camera's again (haven't done that in a while). You should check out his page though, he's a real cool dude, and he's got some awesome content :)
Low and behold, BestBuy was holding a sale and the next thing I knew, I was the owner of a new Nikon. So this is the first of possibly many more photos to come!
Christo's figure is fantastic, and I'm extremely glad to own one for myself. I'll post some more photo's tomorrow :)

So here we are again, me typing this, and you reading. I've been putting a lot of thought into my account over the past few months. My photography has become such a joy to me and my life that I find the longer I do what I do, the more addicted I become (tragic right?) :P
I absolutely love creating art with Still-Life Photography. I been shooting Lego for nearly six years now and see no signs of stopping in the future. I've been part of an incredible community over the years and I find myself wondering if this is all worth it? Now I know that my photos are enjoyed by you all, and now I feel that this is the next obvious step in my relationship to Lego and my Camera.
To answer that question, 'is it worth it'? Well of course it is, but I don't wanna drown in my own ideas without being able to execute them. So I guess that's what leads us here....
I've started a Patreon to fund my photography. ...But what does that mean?
It means I've decided to give you even more content, but whether you want to see it is up to you. Patreon is a crowd-funding website, made to encourage artists and designers to make more stuff! Now that doesn't really change what's happening here on flickr, this little page isn't going anywhere!
Starting a Patreon is a bit nerve-racking, and some thoughts come to mind. Things like, will my followers support me and enjoy the extra content? Does this change the perception you guys have on me? And honestly, I really shouldn't be worried. I enjoy creating art, and you guys enjoy viewing those creations! So there doesn't seem to be any downside to something like this.
If you donate any amount you'll receive bonus content not seen on any of my other Social Media! Some of this stuff includes, behind the scenes of MOC's, builds that set my scenes, previews to new content, and upcoming projects (WIP's), plus other scraps that don't quite belong anywhere else! :)
My Patreon is set up as a subscription that you get to choose the price. Basically if you wanted to throw me a few dollars a month, you get access to more stuff related to my Photography! This could also include anything from previews of new figs, to tips and tricks to photography. A full year of that would be cheaper than a Large PAB cup!
Now if you're all like “Hey yo what? Pay for this junk? No way!” Dude that's totally fine! This is something totally up to you! I won't stop posting on flickr, but you may just see that stuff earlier on Patreon! You may even see how I built that one Rouge's lair or how I did that one effect in that one photo, et cetera :P
There are already a few posts up about my lighting setups and builds for the recent Black Lantern posts, Gotham In Red, The Flash No.123, and some other stuff! If you pay more than a dollar, you get even more content, like fully edited photo's that I don't post here! :)
I really enjoy this community that flickr has created and I want to be a part of it for as long as I can. Supporting my work will only encourage me to create more and strengthen the community! Plus, it funds cool things like Fish-eye lenses, new lighting equipment, More Christo figs, and more Bricklink Orders!
There is no shame in not contributing! I'll be just fine if you feel you can't donate, but this would help keep my page floating! And hey, you all get a peek into my workspace, and that's kinda what drives me to create my Patreon. To be able to share my creativity, keep teaching, and learning what it's like to be a professional photographer... what ever that means :P
Thanks guys :)
Not too much to say about this one, just wanted to update my banner since my last banner is over a year old now :P
I've gotten a bunch of feedback over my use of lightning effects in my Flashpoint Images so I've tried my hand at them again. I seem to be improving but I'm trying my best to move away from these partially pasted, partially drawn effects, and go to fully drawn type stuff; I'm working with some other sets right now and trying some other methods that look acceptable to my artistic psyche, so you guys may just see those too at some point :)
Anyway!
Carry on, nothing to see here... :)
Barry picked up Zoom's unconscious body and returned him to the 25th Century.
“You know Thawne,” Barry spoke, almost to himself “You can't have a world where only The Reverse Flash exists. If I wasn't around you'd be the opposite of nothing. I probably wouldn't be the hero I am today if it wasn't for people like you. I wouldn't be able to push myself, to drive myself, to be the best Flash that I can be. Despite our differences, you've taught me so much.... Thanks to you, I'm the fastest man alive....”
--------------------------------------
There we go, one of the biggest stories I've done since last year's Flashpoint Series has come to a close! Thanks for keeping up with all of The Rouges in 2015, it's been really fun to shoot and upload all these different stories, and it always feels good to know that you guys on flickr enjoy the work that I do. :)
Enter The Scarlet Speedster to snatch the stolen ape-afying gem!
Now this has to be one of my favorite compositions to date. Using the similar shooting/editing technique as Mirror Master: www.flickr.com/photos/thebritishbafoon/12981430904/ and applying subtle color streaks and motion blur, I have created a wonderful piece.
I always love how some of these shots come together :)
Barry was knocked clean off his feet, as a sound so loud and sharp erupted in front of him! The Flash was responding to a silent alarm he had received while over in Central City. Speeding over as fast as he could, the surprise he met nearly took his ears off! Barry's head still spinning, he could barely make out a figure holding what looked to be a sonic fiddle of some kind. “That's it! I gotta get that away from him!”
--------------------------------------
It's almost as if Rathaway knew he was coming! Flash will certainly get an earful if he doesn't get that flute away from Hartley! Come back tomorrow for more! :)
Iris held her breath as she watched the fight go on. It only took one slip up for someone to lose their footing and take one for the team. It was pretty common knowledge that The Flash and Captain Cold were always pretty evenly matched. That or Flash always held back, like the hero he is. To the citizens of Central City and Keystone, their rivalry had become somewhat of a sport. It was the types of conversations that lead to an almost inevitable conclusion, The Flash vs Captain Cold, who would win?
If anyone was keeping record, The Flash has beaten Snart only by a few knockouts. But Captain Cold has the home advantage. This could be anyone's fight...
--------------------------------------
This is my absolute favorite pair of shots from the set! In order to get this particular running effect I have to shoot each one of these Flashes individually, then meld them together, then edit the speed effect, then lightning, and commonly after all of those steps, one or two of them aren't always quite up to my par, but this image really took the cake for me, and I'm very proud of it :)
Part 4 comes tomorrow!
Alright so a little background with this one. The Turtle was gonna have his own set in my Rouges series. I wasn't planning on posting this until possibly the weekend but he was on The Flash tonight so whatever. I never thought I'd see him on the show but hey, I'm not even upset about it. :)
I've always kind of seen The Turtle as a joke villain but I wanted to give him the spotlight, but the story didn't quite pan out, because posting three similar photo's to simulate a chase scene in slow-motion didn't seem to work out as well as I would have liked.
Anyway, this was kind of my own take on the character as best as I could with pieces lying around :P
Maybe I'll try my hand with him again one day :P
The League! Yet another incarnation, and I’m sure this line-up’s existed before.
Aquaman: I went a bit of a different route with him and used the Simon Baz parts on him. I dunno. Why not? Sort of a...Jason Momoa take on him.
Green Lantern: Plain ol’ Hal figure with some new hair and a new Lantern ring. I painted the inside of the flat stud black so you could actually SEE the logo. Lego should’ve just made it like the Sinestro ring tbh.
Wonder Woman: My old Wonder Woman figure with an updated head.
Superman: Same old, same old, save for the head and the Scrooge McDuck arms. For the life of me, I can’t remember who used these first. Feel free to tell me in the comments!
Batman: My go-to Batman figure.
Flash: Yeah.
Cyborg: My favorite out of these guys, save for the Aquaman figure. I love this combo with the Stealth Suit Spider-Man torso, and it took me a while to finally part from 80s Cyborg. In the end, I’m glad I did.
“I didn't say I was done with you yet!” Mardon threatened “...I'm just getting warmed up!”
Barry was stopped dead in his tracks as he witnessed The Wizard rise into the air with a powerful thunderous roar following him.
“You know what they say... the weather outside is frightful....” Mardon's words chilled the air as he laughed, “...hope you brought your rain boots...”
And without a warning he lunged forward, wand above his head, ready to kill!
--------------------------------------
So this was my first attempt at double-jointed posing on a minifig and I feel it turned out really well. Also, if you were curious, there isn't much of a connection to the wand, the 1x2 plates, and the rest of the build, but was rather tediously balanced over the wand's tip... so that was a pain.... but it looked great! :D
Part 4 for tomorrow :)
From a practice/comparison shoot with my Kinolta and my new Nikon. I liked this one enough to give it a quick edit and post it.
I'll keep it brief, but a new comic-set is coming next week, plus a bunch of new projects are now in the works thanks to winning The Onlinesailin Comic-Cover Contest :)
So keep your eyes open for lots of new stuff coming soon!
“A boxing glove arrow? Really?” Barry said sarcastically
“Well it does the job doesn't it? I don't make fun of your little ear things...”
“Touché”
--------------------------------------
So just like that, Captain Boomerang is behind bars. I'm sure he'll be back though....
Anybody else really pumped for S2 of The Flash and S4 of Arrow coming back? T-minus a week guys!
As I'm sure you can tell, I'm very excited :)
"Alright boys, into that vault! And make it snappy would ya! Robbing The Keystone Bank is gonna take all of you!" The Rival barked to his men.
The cold vault echoed softly as shined shoes clambered on the marble floor, pressed suit pants swished hatefully, and disdained murmuring spilled from the mobsters wearing those items.
"Sure thing Boss, right away!" a reluctant henchmen squawked after he began hustling to the vault door.
"Waitah second Rival!" another gang member chimed in, "What if that Flash fella comes out after us?”
“Nonsense!" Rival shouted, almost offended, "We took away his speed you dolt! Remember? Using a by-product of 'Hard Water' gasses, it turned our Crimson Comet into 'the slowest man alive'! Now stop yapping and get moving!” He swiftly smacked the goon on the back of the head, then without a seconds notice, speed into the vault grabbed two bags of cash, and zipped back to where he started.
“I mean even if The Flash could get here in time, he's no match for his Rival!” He began to laugh menacingly, speeding to and from the vault stealing as much money as he could!
--------------------------------------
Better late than never right? :P
I've been holding on to these images since May when I built and shot this set, but with movies and other life events getting in the way, I felt like this comic set just kept getting pushed off. Finding four consecutive days in a row to upload on flickr has been quite a challenge lately!
So with that in mind, I hope you guys enjoy this new comic set featuring some great figures, and some really fun stuff!

If you read this in a New York accent, then clearly you should visit my Patreon ya see?! Early photography, behind the scenes images, and WIPs of upcoming projects, yeeahh see yeahhh?!
Well that was a pretty cool movie :)
It was pretty cut and dry action movie though, if I was to be perfectly honest. But man, was this kind of a missed opportunity on DC's part. Like... I really liked it, my mind wasn't blown.
All the potential was there, all the fun characters were there, but in the end, it wasn't anything new or surprising (if that makes sense). Based on the trailers it seemed as though DC was going to rev up the campyness of their characters, put a weird Thug-Like esthetic over it, and it was gonna be a fun romp.
And there were some of those elements there, but for some reason not everything landed. Take Jared Leto for example. It was implied by the trailers that he was gonna be either the main protagonist, or someone who hinders the team for personal gain. And the thing is, that is exactly what happens, but it's convoluted in such a way that without any real concern for Harley as a character (being that there isn't much to sympathize with) you have no concern for Joker as a 'wild card' randomly popping up here and there to throw a kink in the teams plans.
Now don't get me wrong, he had a motivation to do the things he does, but the reasons are just kind of dumb. So to summarize, it was an interesting take on the character, but what we see isn't impressive, so much as a "oh it's this weirdo again, why didn't he just break in like this at the beginning?" And that can be applied to s lot of these characters, with the exception of say Deadshot or Flagg (those two seemed to know their goals quite clearly)
And that's not to say that this was a bad movie, it was really really good, but it didn't impress me like I thought it would. It makes me want to see more of these characters stories pre-film. Like the escapade and car chase towards the beginning was like five minutes, and then we're back to to main plot. They really push it on us as an audience that these are "bad guys", but besides the tiny bits at the beginning, that idea goes out the window near the end of the movie.
Really though, this was a pretty cliche action movie. You meet the team, you meet the leader, leader gets the team together and they don't get along at first, they have their mission and get to know each other, and by the end everyone is cool with everyone and they stop the bad guy.
I wanted this to be a play on the action movie troupe, not to literally be it. I didn't want everyone to be seen as heroes in the end because their not. Sure, stop the protagonist, but don't be happy about it. Be pissed that you had to do it. Show that "bad guy" side that the story keeps playing up through the film. There could have been a sense of nagging from Waller that motivates them, not a 'Do the right thing' kind of vibe, because that wasn't the way these people rolled. They fight their good fight because they feel it's good to do so. That just really seemed to contradict their ideologies in the end.
But dude, this movie still had some really great beats! The Soundtrack was killer! Katana was a badass! Captain Boomerang had all his different boomerangs! Most, if not all the Bio's/Flashbacks in the beginning were sweet, with the artistic text and effects used (but I wish they continued with that)!
Deadshot's Batman moment was very Batman-y and just felt right. It was very clear the direction they wanted to go with him.
Harley's was a little muddled though (and John Common was there for some reason?) but the three second car chase was neat!
It was fun to see Flash again, but I don't know if I'm sold on Ezra Miller yet. He's got a very weird Wally West vibe around him, especially with the recent SDCC JL trailer. Why do you have no friends?! You're literally the most friendly DC hero! You're friends with your villains for crying out loud!
Sorry... that's a topic for another day.
But Suicide Squad had some cool concepts that haven't been played with in the superhero movie genre, but didn't blow my socks off. It had every possibility to do so with some fine tuning, just like BvS in some respects.
I am quite curious what you all think of it though, because I really did enjoy it :)
I'd like to know though, did it impress or surprise you? Do you feel like The Joker didn't need to be in this movie? Who the heck is Enchantress' brother? I'd like to here your thoughts! :)
--------------------------------------
So this has to have been one of the most spontaneous images I've done in a while! I started this protect back in late June thinking the Suicide Squad film was coming out August 26th for some reason, so I was thinking to my self I had plenty of time to get this done. Boy was I wrong! Not only did I have pick up the City Prison Island Set (60130) to get enough jail bars in time to build the MOC (finishing around the middle of July. I had to order Danny West from Andrew (minifigs.co.uk) sometime between all this because Christo didn't have anymore (also no more 1939 Batman's! Grrr!). Plus I needed to place a Bricklink order to pick up Deadshot (because the set he comes in is super lame tbh) Not only that, but the new DC set with Cpt Boomerang didn't release in the US until August 1st (Five days ago) So I basically haven't had any free time at all this week!
Monday, I picked up the Killer Croc set (plus some others) and sorted the brick. Tuesday was assembling the figs and principle photography with the build from mid-July. Wednesday was all Post-Production (I had to work that day as well). Thursday was taken up mostly by fine tuning the image (Post Production), Uploading to Patreon, Seeing the Film, and then writing out my thoughts on it!
All things considered, I'm incredibly surprised that I managed to get this out on time! :P
I really wanted to out-do my older rendition of the group, and I feel that I managed to do so! It was a lot of money and work in a short amount of time, but I did it!
Woo! :D

A terrible shrieking noise pierced Barry's skull! At first it was just excruciating noise, though gradually through his mind, Barry could begin to feel a word. One word has never been fond of.
...grodd...
...grodd gRodd...
…grodd GroDd GrOddD GRODD!
The chanting grew louder and louder getting more and more painful with every syllable before silence finally greeted him. The quiet was broken only by two words....
“Welcome Flash” a gruesome voice bellowed “The time has come! ...Your end is near!”
An enormous hand reached out and lifted Barry off the ground. A grip so tight it could shatter bones. This was the end for sure, but Barry still had to try and escape! His life depended on it!

Not much to say about Grodd. I aboulustly love this bigfig and I've been trying to shoot with him for a while now so I'm glad to have him finally join my flickr page :)

Now I'll be honest, I didn't expect Christo to make a Black Lantern Eobard, but it was a pleasant surprise! It uses the same metallic printing as seen before on The Dark Flash, and The White Lantern. I don't know how often I'll actually shoot with this fig, but I'm really glad to have him, just to keep complete, with the full set of Christo Flash's. :)
These shots were taken on the same graveyard as my Black Lantern Batman flic.kr/p/FHcBcM , but I wanted to make these images a bit more artistic, rather than a re-creation of an actual comic panel. Scott Kollin's work in the mini Blackest Night spin-off is awesome, and I did my best to kind of channel that artistic flow.
I was a little late to the scene with this one, but I'm finally getting to share these shots with you guys! I hope you guy's like them! :)

It's been months for The Flash, tracking an anomaly through the Speed-Force. It brought him to the 25th Century. He wished it hadn't.
Eobard looked him dead in the eyes without so much a tremble.
"So... you found me." Zoom said in a demeaning tone, "You're thick head didn't think to check here first?"
Barry didn't respond.
"Oh come on, don't be like that! It's fun when you get flustered" He smirked "Well, aren't you even a bit curious what I've got up my sleeve?"
Barry didn't give in.
"Oh fine, I'm building a device to siphon off the energy for the Speed-Force to my benefit"
"And you know why I can't let you do that" Barry finally spoke in an anxious tone
"Ah he speaks!" Eobard mocked "You think you can stop me? The device has been operating for months now! It responds to my body and I'm more than capable of keeping the device running."
"So all I've got to do is remove you from the equation!"
Barry snapped into a sprint and lunged at Zoom, but just as fast, he broke into the Speed-Force and engaged The Flash in a fight to the death!

Here we go guys, the final Flash showdown of the year! It took a lot of time, work, and money to put this seven (yes, seven) part story together. So over the next week, let me take you down the last fast lane of 2015!
Barry woke with sweat across his forehead, panting as if he had ran the 90 Mile Straight twice over. His vision met his consciousness, the ceiling was covered in plantlife. Attempting to sit up, he found himself in chains but quickly phased out of them. He was in costume, but not in Central City anymore.... He had been taken....
“Gorilla City!” He said to himself shocked “This can't be good....”
But before his thoughts could get any further, he heard enormous footsteps from behind him....
“Oh no... definitely not good”

Something big is coming....
Jay could hear sirens outside the bank as police arrived on the scene. With The Flash's help, the whole gang was in cuffs and waiting for their ride to the station.
"Alright gentlemen, how's about we see who's behind these terrible robberies!" The Flash said proudly as his enemy sat bickering on the floor. Removing The Rival's mask, officers of the Keystone police force gasped!
"Holy smokes! It's Dr Clariss, the world renowned chemist!" One of the coppers said in surprise.
"Ready to talk now, chum?" Jay pestered to Dr Clariss.
"Alright, alright! I confess!" The Rival's head hung with shame, "I wanted to replicate the 'hard water' formula that gave The Flash his speed to increase my own, but my first attempt did but the opposite! I needed money for my research!"
"So robbing banks was the best idea you could come up with, Mister Clariss?” Another officer asked.
"Sure! And I would have gotten away with it too it it wasn't for The Flash meddling with my plans!" Clariss cursed, glaring at Jay from over his shoulder
"Well friend, you'll have plenty of time to study in the cell of Keystone's county jail!" With a slap on the back of the doctor, Jay and the officers laughed as Clariss was picked up off the ground and carried out to the paddy wagon.
"One day Flash!” Clariss shouted, “I will be the fastest man alive! Just you wait! You'll see!" The Rival's voice faded as he was carried off to prison!

Just a reminder, Patreon is a 'pay what you want' situation :)
For just a dollar a month (that's less than a comic book!) you get access to three times as many photo's as I upload here! Any proceeds from Patreon go right back into my photography, so if you really want me to shoot your favorite fig or remake your favorite story, you'd be funding it! Also you can comment and ask questions on how I get my shots and learn how I do what I do!
I'd really like to pick up Christo's new CW Flash, and you can help me get it by supporting my Patreon! :)
But anyway, this is the last panel in The Rival comic set! I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it for you! :)

For a moment, Hartley stood in shock at what had just happened. For a second or two Rathaway was now all alone in the alley of the bar he just robbed, except for all of his bags and his sonic flute were gone! Suddenly without warning, in a bright red gush of motion, two of Central City's finest were standing in front of him, his hood was pulled back, and best of all he was in handcuffs! Before Hartley could say a thing, the startled policemen frantically bumbled forward and took him off The Flash's hands.
Brushing off his gloves, and with a cocky smile The Flash mocked, “Well that didn't take so long, now did it?”

Well that's all for now guys! What did you think of the story/figs/moc/whatever? I love to hear feedback, so let me know what you thought! :)
