Week #6 (w/b 16 August) If Only - this is going to be a great week of interpretation! What would happen “if only” such and such had happened or taken place? If only you had turned the oven on or worse turned it off!! If only you had won the Lottery or what about all that chocolate, if only you had eaten that without having to share!! A week of interpretation the good and maybe the not so good of those “if only” moments … but whatever have lots of fun!!

Actually, it was "sweet sunday" but no matter. Once Lent begins, this will be a distant memory, hence the processing. :)

I made a maple bundt cake with a filling of my homemade apple walnut compote. It was a delish tea time. Now, after this is gone, let the fasting begin!

The trouble with bees is, they move all the time. I've spent some time today trying to follow them with my lens, among the lavender in my garden.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be constrained for your own protection, well this isn't what it is like.

I was hoping to get Mrs Mail to pose like this, but she was unable to enter the circle due to her bad knee, so I had to do the deed.

I had meant too rotate more to be almost upside down, but I was more focused on giving directions for the shot.

We hadn't been to a zoo for decades. While it is truly wonderful to see the birds and animals, I find it a challenging conundrum between preservation ( ie safe from extinction for the moment) and less than ideal conditions for the animals instead of "in the wild".

Adelaide Zoo was the 2nd to open in Australia in 1883, and was mostly the efforts of a private family. It is not funded by the government.

This supermarket has a coffee bar right inside the store. All the shopping carts are fitted with convenient little cup holders. I’ve noticed that many of the patrons seem to find that their shopping experience goes better if they carry around a tall latte. So, in honor of "The Weekly Grocery Shop" at 7 Days of Shooting, where we are to do “photos of how we go about to get those groceries” I decided to better prepare for my shopping with a bold black brew.

Sometimes life takes turns and you find yourself...trying to just see the light...that's the way it's been for me lately..

I'm hoping as I move forward into the most beautiful time of the year, that my light might start to flicker and then turn into a freaking blaze...I'm ready for some Good News. Tis the Season, right?

Met this little chap on the bridge to the lake! He wasn't a bit shy and later followed me to the car and sat on my wing mirror looking in at me!!

The story...Sunday morning my husband and I were on our way to church from our mountain cabin and we came upon freezing fog so thick it looked like snow. My husband stops the truck and said, "get your camera and get this". I'm dressed and ready for church...but I'm always game for a quick capture even on a muddy country road with church clothes on!
