Mickey is a stray cat I more or less adopted this winter. I built a warming box for her, complete with insulation, a heating pad, and even an infrared camera so my wife and I could "visit" her at night. I fed her, her brother Lazaro, and a couple other strays this winter. Lucky for them I did, given how ridiculously awful the winter has been. In return, she is quite devoted to me and follows me around like a dog. Here she is looking indoors through our storm door on a cold winter's morning.

Sometimes the more simple the subject the more beauty there is.

Sorry about so many rooster photos, but I had such a good time chasing this guy around on Sunday morning.

My first outing to Point Arkwright on saturday morning with Kim, Maria & Kush. Aside from the freezing cold wind it was quite enjoyable rock hopping around the headland admiring the different textures and shapes that have been carved over time.

Not much in the way of colour due to the clouds but mother nature did provide some really nice diffused light at around 7:30am which I took advantage of once I found a decent composition. We had the run out tide and as it slowly got lower it made it a heap easier to get around the rocks. A fantastic spot on the Sunshine Coast with endless amounts of shapes & textures..."I'll Be Back"

A coastal town on Queenslands Sunshine Coast, Point Arkwright was named in honour of Sir Richard Arkwright, the inventor of the modern cotton spinning factory system and machinery. It is tied in somewhere down the line with Point Cartwright, which was named after Edmund Cartwright who developed weaving and combing equipment which compliment Arkwright's inventions. A 2 min drive from Coolum Beach which boasts Mt. Coolum & according to some it's the second largest rock in the world.

Finanicial District, Commerce Court West and Commerce Court North. Many times I have shot the beautiful smooth glass exterior of the skyscrapers downtown. Perfectly smooth, perfect reflections on the right day. I thought... what if I use this smooth exterior as my canvas, create something different and grungy. Getmy hands dirty? I blended 2 of my photographs and added layers and textures, overlays and elements and moved them around until I liked what resulted (there are about 20 layers in this composition). Each layer, each texture, each element - is a feeling, tells a story, and at the end, we fade back in time. Thanks for viewing.

Was wandering St Olaves (Norfolk) in the rain and was drawn by the patterns of the raindrops on this concrete wall.

The birds brought seed & flowers & bits of brightly colored string & placed them in her hair while she slept so that she would remember the wild joy of spring when she finally awoke.
