Trying to reduce the "clinical" feel of flower radiographs, here an "earthy" texture is applied to one of the xray images Charles Needle and I did the other day.

These boulders have had countless years of salt water spray, wind and weather erroding them, marking them, shaping them and many seemed to be purposely placed or even sculpted into works of art. Texture created by mashing my charcoal drawings up with my stock texture images.
Here is a a reworked old photo which I would like to use as a transition into a more Flickr-oriented daily life after my long absence.
I have no idea where this texture came from.
Feel free to use on your creations, just don't claim as your own or resell it. I hope everyone had a great Easter.
How to save this texture... Go to the top click on "All sizes" once your at the larger image click on the tab that says "original" then right click on it and save it to your computer.
Very basic tip on using-
Open the texture, open your image.
If your using Photoshop, go to your "layers palette" have your texture as the top layer then play with the layer settings, try these (make sure your on your texture, not your photo): Overlay, Soft Light, Hard Light (more dramatic) and Multiply.. keep in mind you can always use a light opacity eraser and erase bits of the texture away from your image.
Have fun...

This was a very dark picture with lots of noise & no eye detail. It was sharp however & nuthatches are few & far between so I messed about with it & added a texture to mask the noise.
