Some really old Ivy roots cover an Elm Tree near Richmond upon Thames UK

A silver pleather purse

Kind of finding out the color silver is not the easiest to capture.

Happy Macro Monday !

Same photo as posted a bit earlier, but since it already had a bit of an old painterly feel, I decided to use some textures to make it look even more that way.

Roses ~George Eliot

You love the roses - so do I. I wish

The sky would rain down roses, as they rain

From off the shaken bush. Why will it not?

Then all the valley would be pink and white

And soft to tread on. They would fall as light

As feathers, smelling sweet: and it would be

Like sleeping and yet waking, all at once

Just in time for Halloween, a freak October snowstorm brought heavy wet snow to our region.. strange to see the trees peaking with autumn color suddenly blanketed in snowfall!

Have a great week, my friends!:)

HMM!

These algae exposed in a shallow rock pool at The Caves, Bunurong National Park show how different forms of life survive in the intertidal zone. One is Hormosira - Neptune's Necklace brown algae, the other I don't know

Back to another macro, We have loads of this growing in our garden, it`s an attraction for wildlife in many forms.

Looking in close up at the small open flowers reveals the wonderful textures and shapes of a Lavender flower, possibly getting past it`s best now.

Develop your senses- especially learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else.

The seagulls scramble (bottom of pic) in response to a rook attack (top right)...

Subscribe to my new youtube channel and see how I used the divine section and golden rectangle, spiral, and ratio to get the cover of N-Photo Magazine with my fine-art landscape photo Sunrise at Toroweap in the Grand Canyon! And see how Ansel Adams and the great painters, photographers, and fine art masters all used the golden mean to exalt their compositions:

Shot it with both the Sony A7RII And Nikon D810! Which do you think is better?

The milkyway as seen from a Malibu sea cave at low tide! This cave can get a lot of water, and one can actually get trapped if the tide rises too far while you're in there! Especially if the waves are big! And trying to navigate your way out in the dark over slippery hidden rocks and waves can be tough! Saltwater is no friend to Nikon D810s nor Sony A7RIIs! :)

All the best on your epic hero's odyssey! :)

Been hard at work on my books--my physics books on Dynamic Dimensions Theory (dx4/dt=ic) celebrating the hitherto unsung reality of the fourth expanding dimension which all the photons surf across the universe en route to making a photograph! Also working on an art, mythology, and photography book titled The Golden Hero's Odyssey! All the best on your Epic Hero's Odyssey! Always love hearing from y'all! :)

as the snow melts, fragments of nature re-appear, tattered but preserved. this leaf seemed weathered and resilient, like the raw, beautiful places in our hearts.

The tomato plants are still surviving in my greenhouse and the tomatoes are slowly ripening. I tried shooting this for the Macro Mondays Green theme, but liked my weeping spruce shot better for that theme. I think this shot works for Texture Tuesday though. HTT
