Well, at least one paper Dr. Ware recommends does seem to work. Unfortunately it's weird and being discontinued. Luckily it's HUGE sheets which will probably last me forever and was only 95p for elephantine-sized paper.

The thing you can't see from a scan is that this is like slightly shiny smooth tissue paper. It holds up to water well. However, when brushcoating, it likes to stick to the brush (!) on the final stroke closest to an edge so it's a bit of a fight to get it coated but the colour is good (better than what I've gotten out of Buxton paper and Crane's Kid Finish and Arches Aquaelle) I wasn't sure of its colour because it took a while to oxidize properly... some shadows look more solarised after washing. Oh it washes nicely too with it being so thin. I'm sure there's some artsy project you could do with Silversafe's see-through properties but I'm just not interested in that aspect.

These are some shots i took with an interfit lighting kit.

Main Light: Softbox high camera right

Fill Light: Umbrella low front left just outside the frame.

I'm not too sure i like the processing so i am looking for your comments on it. Thanks in advance!

Audi r18 testing in Monza 2013

Last year it seemed like everyone and their mom's was trying out for Adventure Time (my favorite cartoon) and I was no exception. Obviously, I didn't make the cut but I thought I'd post my boards. If you look at this one in the slideshow view it's more fun to cycle through.

"Dirty Harry" Contaminates St. George, Utah

On May 19, 1953, a 32-kiloton nuclear test, later dubbed "Dirty Harry," was fired at the Nevada Test Site. The fallout progressed between Alamo and Glendale, Nevada, as predicted. Roadblocks were in place along highways and inhabitants had been moved temporarily away from the fallout path. Surface winds from northern Arizona blew the airborne debris further north than expected. When radiation levels in St. George started to rise higher than anticipated, the sheriff was notified and advised to order the 4,500 residents to stay indoors for two hours. The radiation monitors stationed there helped direct the residents indoors

One of the smaller-massive testing facilities at NASA Goddard in Greenbelt, MD.

When acoustics testing occurs, the entire area needs to be evacuated otherwise people will be injured, despite the 2' thick doors. Apparently this room can simulate the decibel level of lift-off.

There were two guys testing the water at Audubon Park. They told me they do this periodically. I wonder what were the results.

Just a nice lighting test, no color-correction or anything yet.

Last Sunday I was bored and got this crazy idea. I mashed in some wheat malt, crystal malt and roasted barley. Then I mixed the wort with honey and water and boiled with Saaz hops (20 min + 1 min). I cooled it off and measured it SG1080. Then I pitched some drops of California lager yeast kept in the fridge from a previous brew. Dry hopped with some more Saaz a couple of days ago.

2 liters hopped mead fermenting, for a week now and still bubbling.
