When im not testing engines on this chassis it makes a fun front wheel drive gocart, but only the front wheels have brakes, so it has a tendency to nose dive under hard braking. This was taken just after my Timber wolf decided to show his admiration for my handywork on my rear tyre.
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. James E. Fesmire (right), NASA lead engineer for the KSC Cryogenics Testbed, works on Cryostat-1, the Methods of Testing Thermal Insulation and Association Test Apparatus, which he developed. At left is co-inventor Dr. Stan Augustynowicz, chief scientist with Sierra Lobo Inc. in Milan, Ohio. Cryostat-1 provides absolute thermal performance values of cryogenic insulation systems under real-world conditions. Cryogenic liquid is supplied to a test chamber and two guard chambers, and temperatures are sensed within the vacuum chamber to test aerogels, foams or other materials. The Cryostat-1 machine can detect the absolute heat leakage rates through materials under the full range of vacuum conditions. Fesmire recently acquired three patents for testing thermal insulation materials for cryogenic systems. The research team of the Cryogenics Testbed offers testing and support for a number of programs and initiatives for NASA and commercial customers. As Europe and America explore how to tame the tech giants and ensure they act in the public interest, Asia has a chance to position itself as the testbed for innovation. The successful application of data is improving efficiency in a wide range of areas, from health care and education to safety, power grids and transport. Asia could demonstrate the positive attributes of data-driven societies, as it consumes innovation in an arguably more forward-thinking way than any other region. The “internet of things”, still mainly a buzzword in the West, is more of an everyday reality in South Korea and China. And on the whole, people in Asia seem happier than their counterparts around the world to share their data in exchange for better services. Yet a lack of cross-border data flows can limit algorithms to putting data to work only in its country of origin, and firms and the public sector are struggling to use data effectively.

The RX-78 Gundam is a fictional manned robot, introduced in 1979 in Yoshiyuki Tomino's and Sunrise's anime series Mobile Suit Gundam.
In the series, it is a testbed weapon for the Earth Federation when it falls into the hands of Amuro Ray, the son of its designer in story (Tem Ray), who goes on to pilot it in the Earth Federation's war against the Principality of Zeon.
As the success of the series began the Gundam franchise, the robot's design was the first of many variations in subsequent works. The design appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam serves as the iconic symbol of the Gundam franchise and sparked the creation of its multiple sequels and spinoffs.
As part of the 30th Anniversary of the Gundam series, the company officially announced a project on March 11, 2009 called Real-G planning to build a 1/1 real size scale Gundam in Japan.
It was completed on June 9, 2009. The 18-meter (60 feet) tall statue was reconstructed in Shizuoka Prefecture and was dismantled in March 2011.
It now stands in Odaiba in front of Diver City Tokyo Plaza, along with a gift shop called "Gundam Front Tokyo" and "Gundam Cafe".

Project: Tiny TIM (Threats-In-Motion)
Location: NOAA Hazardous Weather Testbed / National Weather Center (Norman, OK)
Date: Feb 28, 2023

This experiment brings together NWS forecasters and researchers to evaluate and provide feedback on the concept of allowing warnings to be extended in time and area, a first step towards Threats-In-Motion (TIM) for severe weather warnings for hail, wind, and tornadoes. To facilitate this evaluation, forecasters use Hazard Services Convective to create and manage TIM warnings. The concept and software is tested on several archived cases.
OK, the first logical step to making sure I'm doing what I want to be doing is to strip things back to their essentials and make sure the fundamentals (no pun intended) are where they should be.
For me that means voicing. Now, I know I'm going to rely on the, "Hendrix" mods for gain, so that's retained in this build. I replaced the tiny Output Cap I had in place with a more substantial Philips, "Chicklet" cap. Same value, just a high-quality cap. Just to make sure that component quality isn't a factor.
The Bypass Cap continues to be a Roederstein, "Golden Bullet."
I plan to start by messing with the Input Cap values to see how that influences the overall voicing of the circuit.
You may have noticed that the Treble Bleed cap is missing from Q2 now. That will be another series of tests to determine which value works best once the Si transistor is in place there. I was using a 500 pF, but I have a 330 pF and a 100 pF that I'd like to try out, as well.
I know this is probably overkill, but I don't want to finalize this project until I'm sure I've poked around all its dark corners thoroughly. I'd like to know exactly what I'm building and feel secure that I can keep banging it out exactly the same way for the foreseeable future without wondering if I should have tried out a different this or that.
