Ferrari's flagship model, the Testarossa supercar revived a famous name from the Italian company's past when it arrived in 1984. A 'next generation' Berlinetta Boxer, the Testarossa retained its predecessor's amidships-mounted, 5.0-litre, flat-12 engine, which now boasted a maximum power output raised to 380bhp at 6,300rpm courtesy of four-valve cylinder heads. Despite the power increase, smoothness and driveability were enhanced, the car possessing excellent top gear flexibility allied to a maximum speed of 290km/h.
Rivalling Lamborghini's Countach for presence, the Pininfarina-designed Testarossa succeeded brilliantly, the gill slats feeding air to its side-mounted radiators being one of the modern era's most instantly recognisable – and copied - styling devices. A larger car than the 512BB - the increase in width being necessary to accommodate wider tyres - the Testarossa managed the trick of combining high downforce with a low coefficient of drag, its graceful body being notable for the absence of extraneous spoilers and other such devices. Despite the increase in size over the 512BB, the Testarossa was lighter than its predecessor, the body - its steel doors and roof excepted - being, somewhat unusually for a production Ferrari, of aluminium. Luxury touches in the well-equipped cabin included air conditioning, electrically adjustable seats, tilting steering wheel and plentiful leather. Unlike some of its rivals, the Testarossa possessed light controls and was relatively easy to drive, factors which, allied to its outstanding performance and stunning looks, contributed to an instant and sustained high level of demand. Today the Testarossa remains surprisingly undervalued, representing exceptional value for money among 12-cylinder Ferraris.
This particular Testarossa was delivered new via Grepaldi Auto SpA in Milan, Italy on 25th July 1989. The current owner bought the Ferrari in February 2017, since when it has been partially restored. We are advised that the paintwork and wheels have been redone and are now excellent, while many other smaller details have been attended to also. There are invoices on file dating back ten years, including bills for overhauling the fuel injection system and brakes, and the car also comes with all manuals/books, two keys, French Carte Grise and valid Contrôle Technique. Finished in the classic colour combination of red with black leather interior, this beautiful Testarossa is presented in truly outstanding condition.
Ferrari slammed Testarossa
Low and low and even lower than a minifigure!
A very talented builder- @pleaseyesplease and I had a wonderful discussion about Lego techniques recently. This slammed Testarossa was inspired by @pleaseyesplease who shared with me some great ideas!I’m so happy that both we learned and shared some new skills to each other.
Thank you @pleaseyesplease
Testarossa, I would like to achieve a lowered stance and very slick shaping, the great proportion as well as the techniques instead of putting too much point on the side air inlet although that is a very iconic symbol.
Hope you like this Testarossa in a very unique stance.
Despite this is a slammed Ferrari it still fits a minifigure!

I was never really into cars growing up, and even if I were, it was the '90s, so the Testarossa (or its later variants, the TR and the F512M) would never have found itself postered on my bedroom wall. As an adult, though, I'm absolutely in love with the last of the sharp-line and angular Ferraris, before the shapes became organic and curvy.
The inspiration for this build came just a few days ago, as one stopped literally right in front of me at an intersection as I was walking to the subway from work. My jaw must have hit the ground, to see it--and hear that V12--that close was awe-inspiring.
Made famous for its role in Miami Vice and Sega’s Out Run, the Testarossa was Ferraris leading supercar in the mid-eighties. Its distinctive side strakes and ultra-wide rear track inspired many other supercar designs and they became a symbol of 1980’s retrograde culture.
The Testarossa was a larger car that accommodated mid-mounted radiators. This helped reduce cockpit heat and also had the effect of making the car much wider at the rear. It also provided more space in the front trunk.
The Testarossa was powered by a 4.9-liter version of Ferrari’s Boxer-12 which was effectively a 180º V12. Producing 390 bhp, 0–60 miles per hour was typically clocked at 5.2 seconds.

Rouven built the Ferrari Testarossa and created a write up of the build, read about it below! 👇 Hello, everyone,
today I can finally present a model again, which I built up the last few days.
It is the Ferarri Testarossa, which is a MOC from "Loxlego".
When I first saw the model featured on Rebrickable, I fell in love instantly.
Unfortunately, I also had to realize at this point that the vehicle could not be built cheaply, so I rejected the wish to build the vehicle.
During my summer vacation, the model caught my attention again and I researched a little more intensively how I could get the parts I needed cheaply. Additionally, I went to the trouble of documenting all of my "loose" parts in Rebrickable so I could see what parts I already have needed. And there really weren't that few of them.
Ultimately, the vehicle consists of my own components that I already own and components that I ordered from Bricklink.
I got the stickers from "forwartsticker.com".
In total, I needed about 6-8 weeks to get all the parts.
Since I'm not a fan of different-colored pins, I got all the common pins and axles in red and black, so that the vehicle looks almost flawless when it's finished. I even got the gimbals in black.
The Loxlego instructions consist of a PDF with over 1200 photos that visualize each construction step quite well. I think there were two small bugs here, but they didn't pose any problems.
Many thanks also to Eugen Teledezki for the rims created according to my wishes. These look confusingly similar to the original rims and simply look great on the model.
I chose the CaDA tires because they simply have the nicest tire profile.
I built the vehicle without PowerFunctions, since the 1:8 models are known to be too heavy and only moderately agile.
Nevertheless, the model has some nice functions that can be performed manually with the help of gears. This includes, for example, opening the doors and trunk (front) and adjusting the seat backrests.
Finally, all I can say is that I had a lot of fun building it and I think it's one of the most beautiful 1:8 models. #ferrari #testarossa #lego #rc #toy #design

The most recent service was carried out at 43,500 km when the cam belts and tensioners were changed. The current vendor purchased the Ferrari in June 2015, since when it has been serviced in-house.
