A temporary bridge over Castle Creek in the Black Hills allowing people to get out of the valley. The bridge didn't last too long, it washed away that very evening.
I gave my granddaughter some temporary tattoos, she insisted I put a couple of them on, so I chose a ying yang design and unicorn design ... at some point I want to get a couple real tats...one will be a unicorn...not sure about the other...or where they will be..maybe here or maybe elsewhere...time will tell ! LOL
Soooo temporary - I stapled on a length of weed suppressing cloth. It snowed. The cloth looked flimsy so I tied it down with some twine.

Hope Fellowship wanted to label their Welcome Centers, but didn't want to commit to permanent signage yet. We came up with an affordable temporary solution.
the centerpiece of "seoul snow jam" was this huge, 120 foot tall, temporary ski jump put in place in the middle section of a large boulevard in downtown seoul. we saw people walking up where the blue section is, and then, of course, snowboarding down. it was a bit ridiculously awesome.
the "seoul snow jam" was this weekend-long even showcasing world-class snowboarders, as well as to try and help promote south korea as bidder for the 2018 winter olympics (poor country has already lost out on hosting the 2010 and 2014 winter olympics).

At St. Monica's nursing home near me they are having a new wing added. The location of the main entrance has been changed, hence the sign and the temporary railing next to the sidewalk.

All 92 weeded books in my building's laundry room. I hope at least 30% will disappear so I can figure out a new home for the remainder.
HEADSHOTS: QHereKidSF's expressive (albeit) contorted, disfigured face. For a temporary fix, the nasalflap sure was there a long time. This photo, and others similar to it, were taken a couple months after I had graduated from my rehab program, and just before my sixth surgery: a division and revision of the nasal flap. YUP! They'd eventually cut it off; you'll see!!
After being raised in 1971, the Ulster Defence Regiment was a locally recruited Regiment of the British Army. The largest of the Battalions, 5 UDR covered the Counties of Londonderry and Antrim. Requiring a permanent home, E Company 5 UDR purchased Laurel Hill House in Coleraine for this purpose. Having being used by the US Army briefly during WW2, the 1843 built house and estate had major works completed to bring it to the required specification for an operational unit. The UDR was reformed into the Home Service Battalions of the Royal Irish Regiment in 1992 and eventually disbanded in 2007. At the end of its operational life, Laurel Hill Camp was home to the north coast adventure training centre.
The house and land were sold in 2012. These photographs were taken in 2017.
