During WW II, a number of temporary buildings were built throughout Ottawa to accommodate the increase in government employees.

I remember working in such a building on Carling Avenue 40 years after the war ended. It's only been during the last 20 years or so that these "temporary" landmarks (andsome would say eyesores) have been demolished.

This is one of last remaining ones. It's located beside the Supreme Court.
