Bak Kut Teh (literally means "pork bone tea") is a famous Chinese soup served in Singapore. It contains pork ribs in a broth of herbs and spices. It is originated from Fujian and it brought to South East Asia during the early settlement of Chinese in the region. It is brought in by the Chinese coolies from Canton and it is reported that the dish is to supplement the diet of port coolies and provide boost to their health.

Bak Kut Teh, or 肉骨茶 (rou gu cha) in Chinese, or BKT for short, is a popular Malaysian dish. Its basically pork stew, with any part of the pork you desire (meaty and slick with fat is my favorite), with mushrooms and cabbage. Eaten with rice, and served with a side order of "you tiao" (deep fried flour bread stick), which you dip and soak in the soup. They should stamp "Made in Malaysia" on all the claypots used to serve BKT.
BKT - definitely at my top 5 favorite foods...along with lamb vindaloo, foie gras, cumin roast mutton and cheese baked lobster.

frame and rear derailleur (suntour hero), and rear brake are from a Schwinn Sprint, mid-eighties vintage (i think).
wheels (Mavic Open CDs with Dura-Ace hubs), handlebars (Colnago, i think), shifters (butterfly), crank (Shimano 600), BB (Shimano sealed-cartridge, forget exactly which), front der (exage, i think), and front brake (Shimano 600) are from a late-80s Vitus 979 which had an unfortunate tube-joint separation.
Computer was also on that Vitus, and is a Cateye enduro, I think.
Seat and the frame that I'm intending to switch it all over to are from a mid-90's Nishiki mountain bike that I had in high school.
I forget what the tires are at moment, but they are the only new thing on this.
