This wasp species has been teasing me all summer. They fly around (never seeing to land) a bottlebrush outside our kitchen window. I was driven to catching one with a net one day (just to see what they really looked like), got some disappointing photos (the container I photographed through was scratched) and didn't upload them.
Anyway...I was somewhere different and this landed on a leaf and sat next to me. Needless to say I wasn't ready, so the photos weren't great, but you can see what a handsome beastie they are.

Agitation: 30sec initial swirling as lid goes on, the a single turn and swirl back in less than 5 secs at whole minutes: 1,2,4,8,16
Water stop, normal fix.
Final wash in "Battery water" with a drop of dish washing detergent.
Fair negatives.
Scanned using a CanonScan 4400F @ 2400 dpi/TWAIN driver.
Thorough Ps treatment. Film look kept, but not same as neg.

Chandu is always teasing. While we were waiting at a train station in southern India I caught this expression as he was having a good time teasing me about something. He is really fun and I think this photo shows his personality.
