A delicious slice of Tiramisu, which means "pick me up" in Italian because of the coffee composnent. Let's wait till April to diet, lol =)
This was taken less than one week ago. It was 60 degrees out that day. Last night into this morning we had a blizzard which dumped over a foot of snow. Go figure...
We're currently experiencing our annual spring tease in the Sierra Foothills. Clear, warm days give way to chilly nights. The grasses and weeds are beginning to green quite nicely in the abundant sunshine. One thing I love about winter in the foothills is that folks allow winter to unfold according to its own design. There are no fancy annual flowers and no special landscaping--just the germ and birth of the plants and weeds that have been growing here for longer than we humans have graced these hillsides.
Here, I'm looking over our back fence at our neighbors garden, which is looking beautifully dormant in the late afternoon light.

WE'RE COOL BECAUSE WE'RE ASIAN
The sun was generous enough to give us a beautiful sunset. If only with it had been as generous with it's warmth. Brrrrr! I still hate my camera. It just couldn't pick the silhouette of the trees clearly. >_<
The Jaimala ( Exchange of Garlands ) ceremony begins with the bride trying to put garland around the neck of the groom. This is prevented by groom's friends, in order to tease the bride. To enable the bride perform the ritual, the associates on her side help her to do the same. This is one of the most awaited moments of the wedding as everyone enjoys the tussle between the two parties as well as the new couple. Finally, the groom also puts the garland around bride's neck. This ceremony indicates that the bride has accepted the groom as her loving husband.
At this point all the close relatives from each side of the wedding families are formally introduced, After this the couple proceeds to the vedi ( Stage where the actual wedding ceremony will be performed.)

It's been rather dry the last 10 days or so and when I seen these Cumulus clouds to the north I was hoping they would turn into rain clouds ad they headed southward. It was not to be and so I'm still waiting on a rain event. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2
So lately I have had this odd obsession with teasing my hair and doing funky things with it.

A white Bearded iris from April as a tease, like the weather. We are nearing record warmth for Christmas of mid 70s F (23º C) after a burst of cold earlier this week. I'm afraid that the idea of norms in weather are just as silly as norms in current leadership.
This Small Tortoiseshell butterfly has been living in my house for the past 3 days and nights. The first day it was flying around me when I was outside and I said to my Mum that it was teasing me as I didn't have my camera, (I'm always on the look out for butterflies when I have my camera but hardly see any). Then it came into the house and into my bedroom then flew up the stairs. I followed it up and when it landed on a window I let it out. It came back in again and again I let it out. Then later on it came in again and I just said to my Mum that that's my wee Angel and it then flew to a wall were I have a hanging Cherub and it landed beside it and side-walked behind the Cherub. There it stayed all night and all the next morning. I again let it out only for it to fly back in again. It has stayed with us since. Just took this little picture of it on the windowsill with my wee compact. Does anybody know if this is unusual for a butterfly? Anytime I do find a butterfly in the garden to shoot it doesn't stay put for very long and if you disturb it in anyway with movement it flies away. I can put my finger right under it without touching it and it won't budge when it is sitting on a wall and take as many pictures as I want and it won't move. It is perfect and looks quite young (very small) and when it flies about it is very agile so definitely not dying or anything. Some people believe that they are messengers sent from loved ones above to let us know that they are still remembered and Loved etc. I have always believed this myself about Butterflies, Red Robbins and Feathers. I have a anniversary of a much loved sister coming up on the 30th July so my mind am wondering maybe if this wee butterfly is sent from her...I've never had a butterfly in the house before that wanted to stay. Any that have come in over the years (very few) always end up at a window and try to fly through the window, flutter non stop like a bird that flies in. This one isn't flapping about at all at the window when it lands on it. I will miss this wee butterfly when it eventually leaves as I know it must. It already feels like part of the family...lol
Saw this little fellow, the smallest predator in North America, on my bicycle ride yesterday morning. First time I have ever seen a least weasel! Adorable! The sparrows seemed to be teasing it.
Picture the scene and the thought process that subsequently races through your mind you see the long legs first across the cafe, oh yes she is wearing black fully fashioned stockings, can i see her stocking tops? Oh the anklet delicately and teasingly poised over her nylons, what does that suggest and then you notice the cigarette and the long red nails holding it and smoker or not your fetish floods your senses. You check your wife or partner opposite you isn't looking and set your gaze again on that vision indulging your fantasies hoping to catch her eye.....admit it you do don't you as you watch her cross her legs, what thoughts are you thinking? do tell us all....x
