Look at the packaging!

We just got the smallest amount of rain. I ran to the window as I saw the drops on one of the office windows. Cliche, I know, but I had to try. Oh, and we really need rain.

This insect was a major tease, and I only got one shot of it, and that one cropped quite a bit. First it landed just outside my open car window, nicely posed against the sky. Just as it was about to be photographed, it flew and landed on the car roof (here), which did allow me to get one shot. Later it or a friend landed on the windshield in a really lovely pose, and stayed for several seconds, long enough for me to grab the other camera and try to get the shot, but not long enough to take it. It landed again, really briefly a few minutes later, then it landed on the car hood, an impossible shot. Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, southern Indiana.

Actually, is this a horse fly?

Sorry this is a little blurry, but I took this handheld @ 200mm from the back of my deck. This hawk was actually spying on the chickens our neighbors have. I took a couple shots and was surprised to find a hummingbird doing a flyby. pretty cool

This David Austin climber still has the odd bloom, even in winter.
