Nightblooming wonders, gorgeous & brilliant marvels my amazing and talented friends all are. There are just not enough adjectives to really do justice to the glory that I feel lucky enough to witness on a regular basis (particularly tonight, ladies!) but, I can try anyway.

crunchyshrimp: There are several night blooms that I see when I leave the east side late at night. They are possibly some of the most beautiful, wonderful and under appreciated things in the world.
crunchyshrimp: I believe these are night blooming cereus flowers. They bloom once a year and in the night. What a true beauty. Thank you for sharing!

crunchyshrimp: My mother always had a photograph of one in the living room. My great uncle took it many years ago. Apparently it was a neighborhood event to experience a night bloom! People would gather and wait for it's petals to unfold. My uncle considered it beautiful enough to photograph. Night bloomers are the best ;)

marcel_du_shop: I used to have a giant one behind my house in Phoenix. It was planted in the 40's. The carpenter bees loved it and would swarm in at dusk.

The Rural Alberta Advantage, an exceptionally talented trio who have a diverse sound combining rock, country, and folk music, and blend a range of sounds including guitars, keyboards, drums, tambourines, rattles, and even the glockenspiel.
This was a great band and easily one of my new favourites this year, and I highly recommend checking them out. I'm not adding this photo to the Flickr Ottawa Bluesfest group, however, because of Bluesfest's ridiculous, arbitrary and ill-conceived policy to suddenly prohibit "professional cameras" (SLRs and DSLRs) in the middle of the festival. I barely got my camera in the day I took these shots, as the policy changed that very day.

Young talented students from prestigious universities and top business schools met at the ESCP Europe's London Campus on 22nd & 23rd February to participate in the 2019 School’s Energy Trading Challenge.
Jointly organised by our MSc in Energy Management (MEM) students, in collaboration with Smart Global, ESCP Europe, and its Research Centre for Energy Management (RCEM), this year’s challenge sponsored by Glencore - one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 90 commodities, with 90 offices in over 50 countries- provided an excellent platform for students to learn key insights on trading oil and gas products.
London Campus Dean Prof. Dr Simon Mercado, Prof. Dr Kostas Andriosopoulos, Executive Director of the RCEM and Academic Director of ESCP Europe's Energy Management Programmes, and Luke Horswell, Director of Smart Global delivered the welcomed 205 attendees representing 23 universities at this truly international competition.

I was humbled to learn yesterday that Canon Explorer of Light and co-founder of the Digital Photo Experience, Rick Sammon (Website | Twitter) as his Talented Twitter Find for August 3, 2010, have selected me.
This is the second time I have been featured on the DPExperience (the first being one of the DPExperience’s Flickr Pool Favorites by wildlife photographer and the other founder of the Digital Photo Experience, Juan Pons (Website | Twitter)).
It is a tremendous honor to receive such recognition from such a group of photographers.
