Balibart is a French art website (based and founded in Paris) and launched in September 2014 by Adrien Salamon and Maxime Delmotte. It represents a community of hundreds of talented illustrators from all over the world (more than 200 illustrators from 18 countries), and, for the first time, has come to Old Street, London - to spread the love! I said I’d come take some photos of the place even though I haven;t really written about art properly for about a million years. It seems like a good cause to support.
Anyhow, they’re here ’til the 24th December, and ill showcasing 50 artist’s works from the 200 artists and illustrators that can be found on their website. This includes prints, greeting cards, polaroids and art books. If you recognise some of the wok, that’s because some of Balibart’s artists have create stuff for the likes of The New-York Times, The Washington Post, L’Oréal and Nike. Many of their creations are available in limited edition and have been created exclusively for Balibart - how does it work? To quote the founder’s words “…the customer and Balibart together decide on a theme, an inspiration or a colour to create a custom series of art prints to suit all tastes.” They’re open 8am-7pm Mon-Fri; 10am-6pm Sat & Sun
I had a chat with both Maxime and Adrien at various points too. They’re lovely guys; so if you’re in the area, go say hi and talk about art for a while - they’re not here for much longer!

Talented Travisâ¦this endearing little boy is sure to capture your heart. He is a purring snuggling machine. Hi has beautiful colorings with sunflower oranges combined with lily whites. His beautiful eyes seem to blend the two colors together in a tantalizing mesmerizing fashion. Travis loves to play pouncing on his toys with a tremendous gusto that is more than exaggerated making you laughs out loud. Travis travels across a room to see you or his food with such excitement he practically does summersaults!!! When Travis tires of his silly antics he tenderly lays beside you while his tranquil purr resonates his thanks and gratitude for you. Munch is one talented kitten! He recently learned to play fetch, which means you can keep him entertained while lying on the couch! Munch also enjoys his couch time too, he'll lie on your legs for hours, providing you with iron-clad excuse for not moving. Munch is looking for a home with at least one human and one cat or kitten. The Japanese Postal Service is very considerate and offers these very classy eyeglasses to anybody who might need them while writing letters or filling out forms. I didn't need reading glasses to fill out my postcard but I felt so flattered by this consideration that I wore them anyway.
