Drawing was done on my iPad in Brushes app. Around 2 hours.

Attractive mare with lots of great qualities. Has been schooled in all three disciplines. Has done one schooling show, a combined event at twin rivers. Jumped clean around 2'6" and then schooled around all the XC jumps with no issues. Schooling at home 3' easily and is doing he first A circuit jumper show in July.

Many talented coin engravers, as well as newcomers, started creating hobo nickels in 1913, when the buffalo nickel entered circulation. This accounts for the quality and variety of engraving styles found on carved 1913 nickels. More classic old hobo nickels were made from 1913-dated nickels than any other pre-1930s date.
Many artists made hobo nickels from the tens to twenties, with new artists joining in as the years went by.
Some people have a knack for always finding what is most valuable in a person. My friend here always manages to extract and reveal to others what their most awesome attributes are. He finds people's 'wow' factor, no matter how they may be feeling about themselves.It's an amazing and extremely valuable talent! ...He also looks as though he's been cut from granite by Michelangelo ...
Céline Laguarde Photographe (1873-1961) ~ for me she is quite the discovery. I never heard of her until this exhibition.
Her teachers were in music as well as photography. She studied with Robert Demachy and to me eye, she surpassed the teacher terms of creativity. Her work has to be classified at the very pinnacle of Pictorialist photography.
While it is commonly thought that Pictorialism as a movement ceased to be important after the Great War (WWI), she continued to work well after the second war (WWII) and was exhibited in Los Angeles, California.
From a friend I've learned that the community of Aix-en-Provence was highly intellectual at the time, where Marseille 20km away was industrial.
Her community of friends and colleagues included philosophers and poets, like Blondel, Litel, and Jammes, Mistral, Guillibert, Arbaud, Rieu, and Baroncelli-Javon. As a talented musician, she knew and worked with Selva, Milhaud (who fled France during the second war to land in Oakland, California where Burt Bacharach, Dave Brubeck, and Philip Glass were just a few of his students).
This biography of Céline Laguarde is quite impressive for the people she knew, the things she accomplished, and the images she created. Until now so little of what she's done has been appreciated. Which is why the exhibition at the Musee d'Orsay was not just instructional, but visually incredible.
