SONY ILCE-7M2 | Super-Takumar 1:2/55
I haven't used this lens in ages, and I'd forgotten just how beautiful its bokeh is. Soft and creamy.
The sort of boom you get from the Takumar SMC 135mm V1 (1971) - still lots of chromatic aberration and general distortion. Many of these 'errors' were corrected for the mythical Takumar 135mm V2, which is heavily collected to the point that the V1 sells for as low as 50 euros, as a sort of optical reject. The focus distance is quite close, it's bright, it's as robust as a tank - but is very unreliable for documentary shots. Probably the only lens I use that has a UV filter and used with the big Takumar hood used on the 200mm. One of the best bad lenses out there, and great for 60s feel filming.
The flowers of this tree are fried up every year into a delicious acacia 'beignet' - mmm!

Shot with an old manual 55mm f/2 Super Takumar M42 mount lens on a Pentax K-3. This is a sharp, compact lens that produces very interesting bokeh.
I've just posted a full review of this very rare lens on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS6aYI-gzTY
Jane doesn't know the difference between a vintage prime and a modern zoom lens, but she loves the attention I give her when we hang out.
Here we are, the day before Christmas 2021, and we are watching what the squirrels are up to this afternoon.
