Streaky cirrus uncinus in the wintry sky. Taken with vintage Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 1.4/50 lens.
Out for my walk last night I fitted my Sony a6000 with a m42 mount Super Takumar 105mm f/2.8 lens, also did something I've never done before & that was to set the camera to take B&W JPEGs!
WOW I've forgot just how good this lens is! but on a crop sensor camera its not wide enough to get the whole of the island in! so this is a 5 shot handheld pano.
After a series of images from a Carl Zeiss Ultron 50mm f1.8, here's another Ultron-design lens, a SMC Takumar 55mm f1.8.
One of my oldest and rarest M42 lenses - the Takumar 58mm f2, from 1957. The lens has a Sonnar design that was dropped for subsequent 55mm lenses.
Adding to my album of photos with the rare Takumar 58mm f2.
This Sonnar design lens, made in the late 1950s, produces lovely colours. It's not bitingly sharp wide open, and the bokeh is a bit hit and miss. It's not surprising (to me) that Takumar replaced this lens with the Auto-Takumar 55mm f1.8
Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic with Super Takumar 55mm f2, Super Takumar 135mm f3.5 and SMC Takumar 35mm f3.5.
