Up above the world so high,
like a tea-tray in the sky.
Wait . . .
Playing with Tiger combos. I think the bottom two are my favorites. It's definitely not the middle two.
How about you guys? What do you all think, eh?
Got a glimpse of the iconic Tiger while visiting Pench. After 2 game drives and no Vitamin T we finally saw this tigress. She was a ways away and thru a bunch of vegetation, luckily I hauled the 600mm - somehow the blurriness thru the veg adds an air of mystery.
Não errei o nome não....é Tyger mesmo o nome desta foto apesar de ser um leão.
Eu conheço a fera que mora lá dentro.

Envious [47/365] - “A person is truly great when he is not envious of his rival's success” Unknown
“You can't be envious and happy at the same time” Frank Tyger
It would be so nice to be rich and famous. We wouldn't have a care in the world... lol. Yeah I guess. But then why are there "rich and famous" people so miserable? Well imagine being hounded 24/7 by fans and paparazzis. Having every single mistake you do get posted on the news and the internet.
Yet some of us envy these people. We want big houses and fast cars. Well to everything in life there is certainly a catch. If you can't deal with the catch then you shouldn't bother chasing it.
We should just appreciate what we got. Especially when there are more people in the world that have it so much worse. I mean anything can happen and you could win the lottery. Or win a huge cash settlement. And watch as relatives you've never even heard of all of a sudden knock on your front door.
Money and material things has twisted our minds. We no longer appreciate the air we breathe, the beauty of flowers and wildlife around us, or even the massive mountains and canyons. I mean look around the most beautiful things are free for us to gaze upon. When was the last time you just stared at the milky way and stared at all the stars. It's quite breathtaking. You don't have to envy someone else getting to look at it, cause you can look at it too.
Why do we envy? Well it all goes back once again to survival of the fittest. We are programmed to compete and if someone else has it... WE WANT IT. Now it's not to say that envy is all bad. I mean sometimes it can motivate us to work harder and get our own. But sometimes we end up envying something that really is no use to us in the end...

The fireman adds another shovel of coal onto the fire. This was taken inside of the cab while the locomotive was pulling a passenger train. This is the only operating Pennsylvania RR locomotive in the world.

worked on this one for a bit, starting with the mirrored row of trees. The inspriration was William Blake's The Tyger, the first stanza of which is
Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
Tracy Friesen and Dave Crystal from the Chilliwack Camera Club made helpful comments and suggestions which contributed to the final image. No A.I in this one

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art.
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

What the hand, dare seize the fire?
