Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

This may still be a work in progress, I'm told.
This might turn into a series.
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee? ~ William Blake

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art.
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger, tyger Tigre, O Tigre
Tyger tyger, burning bright Tigre O Tigre! Toi qui luis
In the forests of the night, Au fond des forêts de la nuit,
What immortal hand or eye Quel esprit immortel sut faire
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
Ta symétrie meurtrière?
In what distant deeps or skies Sur quels gouffres et sous quels cieux
Burnt the fire of thine eyes? Brûla-t-il le feu de tes yeux?
On what wings dare he aspi
Quelle aile prît un tel essor?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
Quel bras saisit ce feu, cet or?
And what shoulder and what Quelle force de quel sculpteur
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
Tordit les tendons de ton cœur?
And when thy heart began to beat,
Et quand ce cœur se mut en toi
What dread hand and what dread feet?
Quels pieds, quels bras, et quel effroi !
What the hammer?
what the chain?
A qui la chaîne, le marteau,
In what furnace was thy brain? La forge où flamba ton cerveau,
What the anvil? What dread grasp
L’enclume? Quelle poigne cruelle
Dare its deadly terrors clasp? Crut serrer ses terreurs mortelles?
When the stars threw down their spears,
Tout astre a déposé ses armes,
And water’d heaven with their tears,
Et trempé le ciel de ses larmes.
Did He smile His work to see? Sourit-il? Te fit-il Celui
Did He who made the lamb make thee?
Qui fit l’agneau au temps jadis?

Was looking for some travel toiletries in this drug store in Berkeley when I turned the corner and saw this. It actually startled me at first; I thought it was an actual animal sitting there in the aisle.

I learnt two things while doing this. 1) Tigers actually having surprisingly round pupils, only just a little bit pointed. 2) My eyes are mostly yellow anyway - I always think of them as green, but adding green to them makes them a noticeably different colour, adding yellow has no effect whatsoever.
Random fact: the first time I dressed up as a tiger I was six years old - as the only redhead in the class I was a shoe-in for the role of tiger when we had a three-ring circus.
For FGR - Tigers! Grrrr!
and TOTW - State of Mind (The strange combination of numbness after a finished week at work, and wanting to collapse, but burning to get outside and have adventures)
