"She was the one who pulled the crimson flames of dawn in her heart
Leaking from her eyes is the ever flowing lights of transcendence
Every night, her cries on the wind
Let her leave this land,
Let her tale be told,
Leave her be
and the night lurking, burning in her hands."

This is absolutely inspired by the billions of millions of cloud/star photos out there on Flickr, but Lissy Elle the most.<3 I loved this cloud hair I made out of pillow stuffings (walked around in the house with it for quite some time), and none of the clouds in the photo are photoshop creations, they are all handmade from the same material!

I rarely remember poetry. Or, for that matter, jokes. Both can be powerfully visceral and evanescent, so that decades later, when I find I have retained an imperfect, fragmented, memory, I can remain uncertain when or why.
One such fragment goes like this, “...the trees in time have something else to do beside their treeing. What is it? I am a starving-to-death man myself, and thirsty, thirsty beside their fountains, but I cannot drink their mud and sunlight to be whole…”
The fragment comes to mind when I consider this tree. There is, in its remnant, eroded trunk, a combustive element of flight, an unfurling, and I find myself wondering if, when the energies of underworld, rock-bound, root and those of airy, sunbathed, bouncing branch merge in that first spark of their strange, swirling, alchemy, there isn’t an expression of something similar to a balletic arabesque. A lilt. A lift. A transcendence.
Another such fragment offers a sort of hope, but not understanding, “...sometimes, if you close your eyes, and reach your hand into the hollow of an ancient tree, you can feel the spaces between the stars…”

The Laws of Ion Transcendence
The Second Law - Soul Metamorphosys
Just as in nature which presents itself in various forms and evolutionary states, our soul also undergoes various stages of spiritual evolution that interact with matter as it traverses the temporal lines.
This transformation or Spiritual metamorphosis is enhanced by the experiences and knowledge that we acquire throughout our various lives as spiritual beings.
As in Nature and in the Universe there may be several cycles of evolution or regression that although unidirectional may have different temporalities or different stages of existence both in the past and in the future.
All living beings are intermediate stages of evolution as well as their spirituality, so this is not exclusive to Human Beings, only presents in these greater complexity and evolution.
The search for enlightenment and knowledge awakens our consciousness, the ego and the material state loses dominion, the flow of the divine, the spirit within everything that exists helps us to see the ultimate existential reason of our Spiritual Being - A union with the Universal Spirit / God of whom we are part.

As Leis Da Transcendência De Ion
A Segunda Lei - As Metamorfoses Da Alma
School starts tomorrow. It's something I've been looking forward to. I probably won't be able to post photos as often as before, but I'll do my best to keep up. This summer has been a difficult stretch of time for me. I want to thank everyone for all your support. It means a lot to me and I couldn't have made it without it. Hopefully it will be a great semester ahead.

The Laws of Ion's Transcendence - The Third Law - Twin Souls
The idea that we each have a twin soul or twin flame originates from Plato.
In his dialogue The Symposium, Plato has Aristophanes present a story about soulmates. Aristophanes states that humans originally had four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces.
The Gods were jealous of this and feared that these powerful humans would one day overturn them. So, to prevent this, the God, Zeus split each human in half. This is why when we meet our twin souls, our mirror selves, our other halves– we feel whole once again.
According to Theosophy, whose claims were modified by Edgar Cayce, God created androgynous souls—equally male and female.
Later theories postulate that the souls split into separate genders.
According to Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet, a soulmate is a separate entity with whom one has spent many lifetimes as a friend, lover, co-worker or partner, and to whom one is usually drawn to fulfill a specific mission
Bashert (Yiddish: באַשערט) is a Yiddish word that means "destiny". It is often used in the context of one's divinely foreordained spouse or soulmate, who is called "basherte" (female) or "basherter" (male). It can be used to express the seeming fate or destiny of an auspicious or important event, friendship, or happening. This idea is described in the well-known proverb "marriages are made in heaven".
Our idea of twin souls has evolved from these previous ideas.
In the Mystical World of Ion we believe that by virtue of the multiple soul reincarnations during the temporal lines, there have always been stronger preferential relations and bonds that resulted from the interaction of the experiences of the common life, whether of great happiness or traumatic.
These events and experiences, when intense in time or space, can leave spiritual marks in the form of recognizable shapes or senses (geometries, light, sounds, smells or colors) or in the form of feelings that we often do not understand but which result from experiences in other lives.
We feel that we belong to a given place or that we would like to go there, that we recognize a certain person or situation but that we can not identify in space and time.
In many cases, perhaps most reincarnations can occur in the same space or time, but also in different times and spaces, in any case, there is always an incessant search for the other, our soul mate, deeply in those with whom we have already had intense relationships and which may vary in parenthood, but which are a legacy and a "hereditary" spiritual link with which we identify and recognize.
Our destiny is often marked by this incessant search that we often do not consciously realize but that makes us run to the other side of the World!
In the Third Law of Ion's Transcendence : "All souls have other twin souls that complement them and have resulted from previous common reincarnations and relationships having marked our course and evolution in space and time as spiritual beings and we are all free to seek them!"
A marriage like other relationships in our life should thus be conscious steps, free choice and delivery ... but also right to the pursuit of happiness for what can never be imposed!
"Love is at once an affirmation and a transcendence of who we are.
Beginnings are always ripe with possibilities, for they hold the promise of completion. Through love we imagine a new way of being.
If love is an act of imagination, then intimacy is an act of fruition. It waits for the high to subside so it can patiently insert itself into the relationship. The seeds of intimacy are time and repetition. We choose each other again and again, and so create a community of two.
There is a complex relationship between love and desire, and it is not a cause-and-effect, linear arrangement. A couple’s emotional life together and their physical life together each have their ebbs and flows, their ups and downs, but these don’t always correspond. They intersect, they influence each other, but they’re also distinct.
It is too easily assumed that problems with sex are the result of a lack of closeness. But … perhaps the way we construct closeness reduces the sense of freedom and autonomy needed for sexual pleasure. When intimacy collapses into fusion, it is not a lack of closeness but too much closeness that impedes desire.
Love rests on two pillars: surrender and autonomy. Our need for togetherness exists alongside our need for separateness. One does not exist without the other. With too much distance, there can be no connection. But too much merging eradicates the separateness of two distinct individuals. Then there is nothing more to transcend, no bridge to walk on, no one to visit on the other side, no other internal world to enter. When people become fused — when two become one — connection can no longer happen. There is no one to connect with. Thus separateness is a precondition for connection: this is the essential paradox of intimacy and sex.
The intense physical and emotional fusion [new lovers] experience is possible only with someone we don’t yet know. At this early stage merging and surrendering are relatively safe, because the boundaries between the two people are still externally defined. [The lovers] are new to each other. And while they are migrating into each other’s respective worlds, they have not yet taken full residence; they are still two distinct entities. It is all the space between them that allows them to imagine no space at all…
In the beginning you can focus on the connection because the psychological distance is already there; it’s a part of the structure. Otherness is a fact. You don’t need to cultivate separateness in the early stages of falling in love; you still are separate. You aim to overcome that separateness."
Since in Islam the revelation came in the form of a sacred book, many Muslim sages have looked upon nature as a book of God, as did many of their Jewish and Christian counterparts.
The cosmos is in fact God's first and primordial revelation. There is an eternal and archetypal Quran, which is the archetype of both the book revealed to the Prophet of Islam as the Quran and the cosmos, which many Sufis in fact call the cosmic Quran. In the same way that each letter, word, and sentence of the Quran revealed in Arabic comes from God and conveys a message from Him, each phenomenon of nature is also a sign from Heaven.
In fact, in the Quran both the phenomena of nature and the verses of the Quran are called ayat, or symbols and signs, each conveying a meaning beyond itself. Every ayah, besides its outward meaning, has a symbolic and inward significance.
Every cosmic phenomenon is both a fact and a symbol of a noumenon. In a profound sense modern science, being concerned with phenomena only as facts and not as symbols of noumena, is like religious literalism in the interpretation of scripture. Sufism has always rejected both kinds of literalism and has provided over the centuries both esoteric interpretations of the Quran and the most profound "philosophy of nature" based on esoteric commentary upon the cosmic book.
This "philosophy of nature" is of the utmost significance in this day and age when, because of sheer outwardness and literalism in both science and much of religion, we human beings have become destroyers of nature rather than its protectors and channels of grace. The inner meaning of the cosmic book has become hidden from us.
Sufis contemplate nature, seeing in its forms, life, and rhythms spiritual realities that are of the greatest importance not only in themselves but also for us as wayfarers on the path to spiritual perfection.
For the sage every tree is a reflection of the tree of Paradise, every mountain a symbol of transcendence, the water of every flowing stream a symbol of Divine Mercy, the wind a mark of the Spirit. The eagle flying above symbolizes the human spirit perfected through spiritual practice flying to the Divine Throne, and the fish swimming in the deep is the symbol of the soul immersing itself in the ocean of Infinitude.
The universe is constituted of theophanies; the cosmos is a set of symbols to be contemplated and a means to reach the Symbolized, a book to be read and understood in both its outward and inward meanings.
Once one has read the cosmic book, one can set it aside and stand before the Author of the Book of Existence. One of the meanings of the Quranic reference to the scrolls being rolled up at the end of time is precisely the end to the reading of the book of nature for the Sufi who, having passed beyond the cosmos, experiences death to the world and resurrection in the Spirit, that is, his or her own eschaton.

Transcendence comes from the Latin prefix trans-, meaning "beyond," and the word scandare, meaning "to climb." When you achieve transcendence, you have gone beyond ordinary limitations. The word is often used to describe a spiritual or religious state, or a condition of moving beyond physical needs and realities. One way to achieve transcendence spiritually might be to dance or fast for a long time. If you have trouble letting go of material needs, then you will have a difficult time achieving transcendence.
