Sunrise up on Mam Tor, Peak District, Derbyshire
iso200 because I was doing a one handed press up trying to get the shot so needed to up the shutter speed a bit!
So finally the elusively promised snow arrived on a morning where as I was rudely awakened yet again, by my neighbour who seemingly cannot hold civil conversations without shouting it all over everyone else, but, when I opened the curtains and saw the picture of Winter before me, despite my level of fatigue, I grabbed everything and headed on out into the Storkow countryside.
I happened upon these tracks in what was a completely still and silent environment, wanting to add something more to the chill factor, I breathed onto the lens glass, awaited for the mist to slightly subside and snapped off this shot. I think it worked to create a more Wintry suggestion of cold.

A BTS Skytrain passes through Bangkok's Thon Buri District at sunset. Thanks for viewing and following along with my Thai travel series. I took this shot, among numerous others, some while ago during my experimentations for the CLiC group, with every intention of processing and posting them within the certain time frame we were given. Unfortunately, my tight schedule didn't allow me to make as many contributions to the group pool as I had wanted. However, finally managing to transfere my photos of that session today and coming across this particular shot, there was only one word that kept flashing in my mind: LOVE!!!
So as one year passes and another one is about to start, I will take that happy thought and make it into a big wish for all my friends:

I think this is my favorite photograph, that changes like the weather, but for now I'm really digging on this one. The pose reminds me of a medieval prior with his hands in both sleeves. That's the impression I get with the wings folded this manner. I also the lovely background blur creates a mystic atmosphere and the image of the Great white heron transcends the image plane.
The deeper the blue, the more it summons man into infinity, arousing his yearning for purity and ultimately transcendence.
Blue is the typical celeste colour.
