The 'Top Lock' and canalside shop along the Grand Union Canal at Braunston, Northamptonshire. A shot I have done many times, but decided to take another as I was heading to the Marina, as the sun had just popped out, and I really liked the sky.
Sadly, I had little luck with the rest of my session, and mission was aborted.

The main forge building at Wortley Top showing Hammer No 1 and the Crane. To the right of the image you can see a couple of railway wheels and axles. Just to the right, outside the building, is a large waterwheel - the main source of power.
Although iron was forged on the site since the early seventeenth century, the forge building is mainly 18thC - extensive alterations were made in 1713.
The ironworks are probably the oldest of its type in Yorkshire - and well worth a visit.
An exhilarating view from the top of Mt Cabuyao in Baguio City, Philippines on a sunny day. I took this panoramic image last 4 months ago while on vacation in the City.
St. Nicholas Church (Dutch: Sint-Niklaaskerk) is one of the oldest and most prominent landmarks in Ghent, Belgium. Begun in the early 13th century as a replacement for an earlier Romanesque church, construction continued through the rest of the century in the local Scheldt Gothic style (named after the nearby river). Typical of this style is the use of blue-gray stone from the Tournai area, the single large tower above the crossing, and the slender turrets at the building's corners.
Yes! Quilt top in a day! I am convinced quilting is best as a team sport, after yesterday's session with The Aunts.
Now I have to wait until July to get back together with them to finish it. Meanwhile, I'm dreaming up my next top.
The top of a very small bottle that I dug up in the garden many years ago.
It is laid on the bottom of an unusually shaped wine bottle

Freshwater bay from above! With the chalky cliffs and aqua blue water is always a pleasant place to go especially in the summer!
Maintenant, Seigneur,
Amen
Nunc dimíttis servum tuum, Dómine,
secúndum verbum tuum in pace,
Amen

Attimi di caccia del topo selvatico. Curiosità quando deve fuggire, per essere più veloce, salta come i canguri ma per compiere il salto appoggia tutte le quattro zampe a differenza del canguro che utilizza solo le posteriori

Up At the Top of the UK today.
Muckle Flugga Lighthouse basking in some autumn sunshine this morning.
Taking in the sea air on the top deck of the Stena Europe superferry. I travelled from Ireland to the UK last week to visit friends & family, my first time back in 10 years. Home now but I'm feeling a little jaded so you'll have to bear with me while I try to catch up on comments in the coming days.
The life jackets are stored in these benches & the lifeboats are hanging over the side. There is actually a walking route around the deck, 4 laps = 1km. Great idea to pass the time HBM!

View inside the 'ruin' of Top Withens near Haworth, regarded as the inspiration for 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Bronte.
Seen from an upstairs window , the sun on it's way down lit up this tree top against a grey and gloomy sky - so a shot was required and here it is .

The lush greenness of the Top End bushland turned to white by an Infrared converted camera shot. Storm clouds building up over Howard Springs late afternoon. The clouds contrasting against black sky and the shadows falling across a fairly new black bitumen road.
I wish I could take photos like John, alas, he is amazing. Here he is at work. (John you should post your photo of this once you get your film developed)
But anyways. I wore Johnny's cardigan to school yesterday. Emilie wore it today. hah.
And I have decided I am going to start a journal of vignettes and monologues. I am so very excited because sometimes I think like a story. It sounds strange...
I was amazed to see a big bird on top of the trimmed trees. I needed a telelens to discover it was a goose! Can you imagine?
In the wine cellar of Wembley Store, Valletta. She became my favourite person in Valletta and I got to know her through my daily visits to stock up with therapeutic red !
