The Pradillo Dam Waterfall is quite close to the Purgatorio waterfall, so you can pass through both with a circular route. But if we want to go direct and not walk too much, we will leave the recreational area La Isla. Because of its proximity, this is a good option to go with children. Following the path along the Lozoya River, you will soon reach the old reservoir, whose wide waterfall used to serve the old light factory. At the top of the noisy waterfall, the landscape is reflected in a quiet reservoir surrounded by pine trees, showing an idyllic picture of nature.
La Cascada de la Presa del Pradillo está bastante cerca de la cascada del Purgatorio, por lo que se puede pasar por ambas con una ruta circular. Pero si queremos ir directos y no caminar demasiado, partiremos del área recreativa La Isla. Por su proximidad, esta es una buena opción para ir con niños. Siguiendo el camino junto al río Lozoya, enseguida se llega al antiguo embalse, cuyo ancho salto de agua sirvió para la antigua fábrica de luz. En la parte superior de la ruidosa cascada, el paisaje se refleja en un tranquilo embalse rodeado de pinos, mostrando una idílica estampa de la naturaleza. (Fuente "Guía del Ocio")
I spotted this mountain like cloud with a flat top, known as a cumulonimbus in the Beagle Channel.This type of cloud usually means a storm may be on its way.

From the top, an impressive plateau, it is possible to contemplate the entire city of Rio and its surroundings – it is possible to see the Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer, the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema, São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca, and even the mountains of Serra of the Organs. It's an unforgettable sight!

Somewhere on Skye
Those of you who have been lucky enough to shoot on On the Isle of Skye with Skyeweasel may well recognise this waterfall. However, at Louise's request we are sworn to secrecy and under threat of removal of body parts if any of us breaks that promise.
I can see why she wants to keep it hidden and having gone through my images I do feel I could do better so hope to return.
I think it could have done with some more waterflow from a photography perspective but that comes with other risks of course!
I tend to agree with a certain Mr Hardcastle that not showing the top of waterfalls lends them a bit of mystery. The viewer doesn't know how far up the falls go. Additionally in this case the shape of the top was like a gently sloping U and there was no sky interest so I have cropped it out. It is also a 5 shot focus stacked image to try to get everything in focus.
Wonder what the vegetation would look like here in Autumn.
There are a few shots of this location I'll be posting. I hope I've done it justice Louise?
