Lasst Euch dem ranzigen Look nicht täuschen - dieser rostbraune Käfer auf dem VW-Street-Jamboree in Tokio ist eine ganz großartige handwerkliche Arbeit. Um die extrem gedrungene Form hinzubekommen, wird das Dach des Fahrzeugs komplett abgeschnitten und nach Kürzung der Holme niedriger wieder angesetzt. Danach sind noch die Türen entsprechend zu kürzen, damit sie in die verkleinerten Ausschnitte passen. Die notwendigen Arbeiten verzeihen keine Fehler und sind nur etwas für versierte Karosserie-Experten. Dieses Exemplar eines sogenannten "Top-Chopper" ist sehr gelungen - nirgendwo ist zu ahnen, dass das Dach zu einem Zeitpunkt vom Rest des Aufbaus getrennt war.

The top window seal and re-felted window channel on the Alfa's passenger side door quarterlight frame. I had to make-up a spacer as the borrowed pop riveter wouldn't fit in to the small slot.
Fitting the replacement triangular quarterlight seal proved troublesome - so tinkering required
Handmade top completely reconstructed by me from a lonely Sea Lion Caves shirt!

Being a seaside resort there a couple of fish & chip shops in Combe Martin; we didn't check if this was the "top" one.
The ruins of 'Top-Of-All' the aptly name last dwelling in the hamlet that grew up around the drift coal mines high up Foul Clough above Walsden and the Littleborough Valley.
Made using upcycled materials only. Originally a very large yellow sweater, a scarf given by my mom, and a Mexican top that my brother gave me and I loved but couldn't wear anymore (sleeves had frayed). It is so comfortable now, just my size around the shoulders and chest but roomy elsewhere.
