This is the circus tent when we took the boys to the Cole Brothers' Circus. My first circus under the big top... very different from Ringling Brothers', but also very cool!
Tired of my 4504 Millenium Falcon having a cluttered, unusable, and disconnected interior, I decided to rip it out and put in some stuff that made some more sense. I've been sketching what I want to do with the bricks that are sitting around the bottom of my desk, and will polish it later.
Top Dog Saloon, Fairborn, Ohio. I'm not sure how they're doing the "indoor smoking" in a no-smoking state. I didn't notice it when I took the photo, but there's a snapshot of a young woman tacked up over the dog's head in the sign.
I loved these top model dolls Mattel released last year, or was it the year before. Anyways, I wish they would add more to this line.
It was heavily modeled after the Kushan multi-gun corvette from Homeworld, and contains some of my first real attempts at greeblies (that would explain their crappiness :) ).
And, yes, I know that the coloring is atrocious. It was unintentional, but this thing stretched my black and grey libraries to their limits.
The supports on the bottom are not landing gear, but are for display purposes.

mom - can you spot the mistakes i made?
The "mistakes" I made were that I had 6 fabrics - 3 light and 3 darks. I wanted each square to have a light center/dark frame or dark center/light frame. Somehow I mixed up a bunch of the squares and some ended up light/light and dark/dark (squares 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15 are all mistakes). It's not really a mistake, and I am not upset about it - I really like how this looks - I just think it's funny that I planned it out one way and somehow they got mixed up in the sewing process!

Pants are also from an Adams-Harris Pattern, "Heaven Sent".
When I first saw this, I thought this flower looks like it has a strawberry on top. Am I seeing things....lol Tell me what you think.

Texan musical heroes ZZ Top tex-mex it up on the Drag in the state capitol.
This is part of series of musical murals by local Austin artist Fe De Rico, aka Federico Archuleta, on the outside of Intellectual Property books on Guadalupe in Austin. Formerly Tower Records, the new owners invited Achuleta to revamp his old designs. The artist is now in great demand from businesses wanting his trademark 'graffiti western' style on their walls.

Top C2 from Japanese Pattern Book "Feminine Wardrobe", made in medium weight Japanese cotton. Made a few sizes larger than my measurements so as to be loose fitting.
