The guy in the middle is all original and a key ring, as can be seen. The two either side are pencil top trolls, the same skin tone and vinyl type. The one is dressed is wearing a home made ensemble, but I like it, so have kept it on him. Tee Hee! :O)

Note, the building was in existence by 1850 and was a public house named the Bull’s Head by 1893, being renamed as the Top Bull at some time, possibly in the 1970s

Before Charles Winston started the company bearing his name, he was a tank commander serving in the British Army in WWI. And before that, he was a young farmhand blissfully living life in the West Midlands. The point is that despite Winston Motors priding itself on being inspired by motorsports, the man behind the marque was for the longest time more accustomed to terrain that was certainly rougher than the outright manicured tarmac of racetracks. The thick muddy fields of his old family farm was a memory that never left him. Sadly, neither was the No Mans Lands from his days as a soldier. Making a practical way over these types of treacherous grounds was always a bit of a bucket list item for him, and it was after the fog of WWII cleared that Charles would turn it into a priority. Winston Motors would end up helping the Allies in WWII by servicing vehicles in the company's plant. Charles himself would help out from time to time by performing services himself, where he'd first encounter the American-made Light Utility Vehicle. These LUVs were outright legendary for their toughness, durability, and versatility, and were able to handle the rough terrains that Charles never had a great way to. Inspiration struck hard, and once WWII came to a close, Winston would expand their catalogue in a way few would expect for the time.
Designated the Utility Type-1, or much more commonly the "UT-1", Winston's first purposed-built utility vehicle took both England and the wider world by storm. Designed with farming and light industrial use in mind, the UT-1 was the first conventional mass-produced civilian vehicle with 4-wheel drive. It utilized a sturdier fully box-welded frame instead of the more conventional car or truck chassis, and used non-rusting aluminium alloy bodies. Lauded for their simplicity and utilitarian mindset, the UT-1 and later iterations quickly gained a large, dedicated following. While they had questionable reliability like Winston vehicles were famous for, the expansive parts availability and ease of maintenance/repair balanced things out, and it was the UT series that earned Winston Motors their Royal Warrant, supplying both the British Royal Family and the British Army with utility vehicles. In fact, Winston's UT series would serve as the workhorse for the British empire and beyond, with numerous civilian variants being developed as offshoots of military variants. There was pickups, ambulances, APCs, and more. With that kind of reach and variety, Winston would only go on to further master and refine the niche, culminating in something that combined the refined luxury of their cars with the utilitarian ruggedness of their off-roaders. Enter the Bombardier, first appearing in the early 1980s and still rolling long to this day. Named after the rank Charles Winston held during his time in the Royal Army, the first-generation Bombardier was where alot of technical firsts were made for the company. It introduced coil spring instead of leaf springs which provided a better ride and axle articulation. A two-speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential was another new addition. The interior was also heavily modernized with far more creature comforts than the more spartan previous models. The suite of powertrains available was also entirely new, with the previous models all using engine designs that could trace their origins as far back as the 1920s. And like the UT series before it, the Bombardier would end up serving as the workhorse for a wide variety of armed forces across the globe. The Bombardier would be seen as a great successor to the UT series by Winston faithful, and would garner a whole new generation of enthusiasts. Needless to say, it was a nameplate that had alot to live up to, so over a half century and many newer iterations later in the 2040s, many were both excited and nervous when Winston announced that an entirely new Bombardier would be unveiled in celebration of the UT series' 100th anniversary. Fortunately for the fans, when you've been in the game as long as Winston has been, you tend to know what you're doing and how to do it well.
Winston unveiled the new Bombardier as the second model that would be produced at their new facility in Malvern, right after the Longsword sportscar just a couple years prior. This is because there would be some parts sharing between the two models, specifically in powertrains. While the new Bombardier would have a couple powertrains dependent on trim levels, the highest trim level, the "LS" would share the same 4.3 L turbocharged straight 6 from the Longsword. This means the same 585 horsepower, only now going to all 4 wheels thanks to a new AWD system developed by Winston just for the new Bombardier. Being a big offroading SUV the Bombardier LS won't be anywhere near as quick as the Longsword it gets its engine from, but it's far from a slouch. That AWD system makes it quick off the line with a 0-60 of just over 5 seconds. Top speed was where Winston absolutely had to show some sensibility by electronically limiting the Bombardier LS to "just" 135 MPH. Talking about top speed and acceleration in regards to the Bombardier is missing the point, though. Winston's off-roaders weren't built to put down lap times, but to handle virtually any terrain you can throw at it. Winston states that the Bombardier LS doesn't just handle any terrain, it dominates. The massive tires come in at 35 inches in diameter, composed of a kevlar composite similar to those used in Dakar-style off road racers. The grip on these tires is unbelievable, allowing the Bombardier LS a climbing angle of over 50 degrees. Each one of these tires is connected to 2 adjustable air springs and an electromagnetic dampener. That's 4 dampeners and 8 springs total, all connected to an advanced onboard terrain mapping system. This system allows the Bombardier a full 360 degree view of the terrain around it to help it respond and adapt in nanoseconds. If some rocks are about to give away or some black ice is ahead, the Bombardier will know and adjust itself before you even know. And it will also know what to do if things get a bit wet. Or very wet. Winston's off-roaders were well-known for their wading capabilities, some military variants able to be completely submerged past the cabin and still drive. The Bombardier LS, being a civilian vehicle, isn't as extreme. Still, a wading depth of up to 3.5 feet is still very impressive. What's also impressive is the Bombardier's construction, utilizing an aluminum frame with body panels made from Natural Fiber Nanocomposites. This makes the Bombardier LS very rugged and able to take a beating out in the unforgiving wilderness. Which is good because you're likely going to take alot of stuff with you on any overlanding adventures you go on. The Bombardier has a max payload capacity of over 700 kg, a static roof load of over 500 kg (partially thanks to the built-in roll cage as part of the vehicle's frame), and a towing capacity of 4,000 kg. All this capability is provided in something that has a luxurious interior rivaling some of the most posh full-sized luxury saloons on the market. Leather seats with cooling/heating and massage functionality, acoustic dampening for quiet rides, the latest advanced infotainment with holographic 3D displays and more. The Bombardier LS isn't just an impressive SUV, its a tour de force of Winston's 100+ years of experience in the automotive sector.
Even with how obviously capable the new Bombardier is, There's always gonna be a subset of fans that Winston would be fighting an uphill battle with. Fans of prior Bombardier and older Winston Offroaders certainly had opinions, ranging from the design being too boxy, all the tech dampening the experience, and so on. Like most cases though, the smallest voices tend to be the loudest. The new Bombardier was met with warm reception from the automotive press, with special praise aimed at the LS for utilizing the Longsword's powertrain. With the Bombardier's long history, it wasn't hard for it to fly off the sales' floor either. In its debut year, Winston was able to move over 45,000 units. On top of this, the Royal Warrants Winston holds ensures the Bombardier will get a military variant soon. Despite this clear success, Winston still feels their latest all-terrain creation still has alot to prove. At the Bombardier's debut, Winston announced that their motorsports team is already working on a race-spec variant, aimed squarely at taking on the Dakar Rally and other endurance-focused rally raid events. All to show that the Bombardier nameplate still stands for ruggedness, durability, and indominable will in the face of the most grueling challenges.

The top of the Yashica Electro-35 Professional. Slightly different than the later models with the ASA/ISO dial which has a range of 12-400iso. The rewind lever contains no plastic like the later models. Also no hot shoe for a flash.
"Ah, Mr Bond!" Top Mountain Star looks a bit like Piz Gloria, Blofeld's lair in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
My favorite of the three, but she was the most difficult to photograph. She has some good angles and bad, but that's okay she's still gorgeous :o)
I read online that Barack Obama gets donuts from here... They are also the official donut of the Seattle Seahawks (NFL) and Sounders (MLS). Of course, I had to check it out. The glazed donut was excellent as was the house coffee.

this is my second shot with my soft box, for this i used two lights. i am satisfied with the results and need to improve too.
The top is finished! I am so pleased with how it turned out. I didn't piece the sashing according to the directions (whoops) but I made it work. I only had to seam rip ONE seam in this entire process, which is a miracle!
I'm hoping I have a sheet big enough to use whole for the backing. I think it's going to be free-motion quilted! :)
