oh, how i crave the seaside!! i wish i could leave the city for a few days and let the sea breeze clear my mind... oh well, very soon (hopefully! for now our beautiful lakes in the city will do). i made a top last week with the warmer and water-filled days in mind. i immediately fell in love with the soft and light chambray (the tiny anchors are too cute!) and after looking through all my patterns (my collection is steadily growing!) i settled on wiksten yet again. i modified the neckline and added a tiny little bit of liberty. now i’m very tempted to sew some colorful shorts next (iris by colette…) :)
-Names: “Heyya, my name is Rita” (red cropped jersey) “And I’m Nadia” (lavender dress)
-Race: (Nadia)“We are Puerto Rican and African American”
-Hometown/ Current Living: (Rita) “We grew up in Compton California, our family moved to Beverly Hills when we were both 10. The streets of Compton were filled with crimes, violence, and many gangs. Our parents wanted us to grow up in a safer environment, after our father got a major pay raise, we moved from the slums to the richy rich white bread neighborhood up in the Hills.
-Both of their styles: (Rita) “Our styles are very different, I’m the dope chill tom boy. I like to add a sexy flare here or there to spice up what I’m wearing. I think that my style sort of reflects the things I saw and learned when we lived in Compton. One of my fashion icons is Cassie Ventura, it’s almost like we have the same style.” (Nadia) “I have the sweeter and delicate style; I think Beverly Hills has contributed to my prissy nature and attitude. For identical twins, my sister and I couldn’t be more opposite. My fashion icons include people such as Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy. ”
-Pros: (Rita) “Although we’re different in many ways, we both are beautiful and we both have an amazing sense of style. I can pull off an edgy look, while my sis can pull off a sweet innocent look. I think it’s like the best of both worlds with us. We are also dedicated workers, once we set our sights on something we have to have it.”
-Cons : (Nadia) “As I stated before, our likes are very different; at times we don’t agree on certain things, whether it includes fashion, or something as simple as a pose.” (Rita) “Also, we have done a few commercial modeling jobs here and there, but nothing really professional. In this competition we hope to learn more about the business, and we hope to further our careers so that we can land jobs in high fashion.”
-How you know each other (Twins/Sisters/BFF etc.) : (Nadia)“We are twins.”

Or a brilliant example of "Where there's a will, there's a way"
See what happens when Nelson offers to drive 4 of his real estate colleagues around town on caravan? And one is also photographer who just HAD to take a picture of these lovely 'summer grasses' that Nelson spotted from the driver's seat?
So since I'm sitting right in the middle and no one else really wanted to get out, he opens up the sunroof so I could take this pic from the top of his car. Now, that's teamwork!
You can see better in the detail shot that this determined little weed was flourishing at the top of the sign. It was actually growing from under the cement sidewalk, reaching for the blue sky and sunshine to enrich it's life.
Maybe even still, the best is yet to come for it :)))
Please!! NO Awards or Large Graphics...Buddy Icons are OK. Thank You!
When long-time Vancouver chef Kevin McKenzie was granted off-season use of his cousin’s coffee truck, his thoughts turned to something missing from the city — the suddenly ubiquitous (everywhere else) birria taco. Following three months of development — utilizing tips from a Mexican friend and colleague who volunteered some (but not all) of his family’s time-honoured recipe — McKenzie launched Top Rope Birria

Just a few new pictures, I have a lot more to post. I had request for more pictures wearing jeans, hope you enjoy.
This was yet another angle that Bob had proposed vs the head on shot while walking the streets of SF with Matt aka MattGranz and Bob aka bats. This angle gave a better swing of the lights almost 180 degrees vs head on which was only about 60 degrees of light arching! This is a composite of 3 images again using certain parts from each shot to complete the image.
This looks like the guy is pulling the string on a top an spinning it like mad! I have never stopped to see this event occur until last night and was amazed. As the trolley pulls onto the turn table, another person goes over and releases a locking mechanism under the street and which allows the trolley to be turned around. a single individual puts their shoulders into the pad where the yellow sign is to rotate the car 180 degrees. Once the table is fully rotated the turn table locks and the car is then pushed back off the turn table and then can grab the underground cable and move off back down the road! In this image it just looks like he wants to spin the car off the ground.
I hope you like this and thanks for stopping by!
We were at the car dealership today in Minden, La., and I saw this old gentleman in the waiting room. I was intrigued by his manner of dress (the tophat and purple gloves) and took his photo. I later found out from the management that he comes to the dealership every Wednesday and shines shoes (I suppose the reason for the purple gloves) and travels all over town to other businesses during the week shining shoes. They told me he calls himself "Top Hat" and will be 90 years old tomorrow! I plan to return on a Wednesday and am interested in talking with him. I was told that the entire time he shines shoes, he will fill your head with jokes and stories from his past. I am sure those are some very interesting stories!

This is a report of the traditional feast which was celebrated on November 6 this year 2019, in the municipality of Mongiuffi Melia (consisting of the two centers of Melia and Mongiuffi, in the province of Messina) in honor of St. Leonard of Noblac , also known as St. Leonard Abbot or hermit, for He was a French abbot who for much of his life he lived as a hermit; November 6 is the date of the saint's death, maybe He died in 1599. San Leonardo is originally the patron saint of convicts, prisoners (when the saint was in life he dedicated himself to prisoners of war, trying to free them, also trying to relieve the severe corporal punishment and fines which they had to submit); later also became the patron saint of blacksmiths, manufacturers of chains, farmers, miners (and robbers), and women in labor too: He rescued Queen Clotilde who had gone into a coma due to serious complications during childbirth, her intervention best solved that serious situation with the queen who succeeded in awakening from a state of coma and giving birth to a beautiful child. In southern Italy the cult of this saint was introduced by the Normans. It's strange to observe that in the hamlet of Mongiuffi besides the devotion to St. Leonard (he is always holding the chains), there is also a great devotion to the "Madonna of the chain", She is holding chains too (and in fact in Mongiuffi there is a sanctuary dedicated to Her).
On the morning of November 6, after the Solemn Mass, the Saint is carried on shoulders on the artistic float , with the music of the local band ("St. Leonard’s band"of Mongiuffi) along the narrow and perched alleys. An exciting time it can be observed when the procession arrives at the Fountain Square, in the center of the country, and here is made a gift to this Patron Saint: He receive a "cuddura" (a donut dough braided) particularly embellished with elegant compositions made always in bread dough, so after "smaller cuddure" are distributed to the population (so called "St. Leonard's cuddure"). At the end of the procession, the float with San Leonardo returns to the church, here we see an other characteristic tradition, called "a 'pisata" (the weighing), now it takes place in symbolic form (in some Sicilian centers it is still performed according to the most rigid tradition, with variations linked to the place), consists in weighing very young children on a rustic weight scale: placed on an axis whose pivot is constituted by one of the arms of the float, the child has as counterweight a sack of wheat , who, once balance is reached, will be given to the Saint.
Particularly interesting to visit the land of Mongiuffi Melia are the so-called Arcofie or Contrabbone, galleries for the transition from house to house probably built by the Arabs.

Base fosca - camada do Leblon-camada fosca-camada Leblon-camada fosca-camada Leblon-TC :D
Usei 3 camadas do Leblon (a segunda camada ficou suspeita .-.) e passei tc pra agilizar o processo de secagem (Y). -vamos ignorar o acabamento feio-
Quase jogava o coitado fora T_T
é isso :D
