I had to abandon my T-Rump series after I got the summons from his legal beagles so I simply reverted to the wierd for a series. I am still enjoying the media coverage of Circus Maximus Trumpus while searching for lawyers.

I'll just step off the road/trail to Smith Lake to snap this. Hey Tenneessee, here is a real Rocky Mountain Rocky Top. Just because your head is hard, don't take it for granite! Regardless, this ponderosa is dead set upon splitting this chunk of Rocky Mountain granite with its turgid roots. Autumn up here is currently encountering it's year-end struggle around Smith Lake but I had to stop on my way up and down the trail for weird, and other, pictorial digressions. The scrub oak was giving it up while the aspen was stretching the season. I refused to let this autumn's color sleep under the coat of snow that's supposedly due this week, without another foray into the high country. There is no autumn and no snow on the granite here and autumn is resplendent in the flats right now. Perhaps the Koch Bros have decided against a winter here this year. We went over 80 on this ides of Oct. They currently seem intent on so many other areas of the country and world. Can they be sued. The tobacco companies?

Phil and I were sniffling the pine and aspen parfumes along the trail to Smith Lake west of Taylor Road. Smith Lake is a perennial prize up here. I can't imagine how sublime a night camp might be. Stars, satellite and jet streaks galore. We traveled the Peak to Peak Highway north toward Allenspark and turned right onto Taylor Mountain Road. The wagon road through the autumn aspen, over to Smith is nearly apparent and yet skimpy. Here, east of Allenspark, Rock Creek and west of Taylor Road, we found semi-flat rocks for perches by the oft-used fire ring at the pond. Why the heck are those rocks never quite right; oh my buns. I had to get up and slap my buns! One car was up there and they found us to tailgate on this glorious day. Why the hell rush?

These rocks are scattered along the old route and probably propped up the Smith lake terrain. Great views abound everywhere along the trek. Taylor Road is an access to wonderful treks in the high country to magnificent views of much higher country. We are paralleling the Rocky Mountain National Park off to the west. Atop Taylor, one should be able to spot climbers in colorful jackets on their final leg up the south pitch of Longs Peak. Sometimes climbers founder on the big notch between Meeker and Longs.

When I took this shot at the air show, I thought about the movie Top Gun, with Maverick and Goose. The were one heck of a team together in that movie. Minha foto favorita de 2018! Definitivamente não é uma foto pensada para às redes sociais, sim para uma grande impressão. No conceito de construção de uma foto, ela tem os elementos que adicionam e nada mais. No primeiro plano, uma linda flor de Lotus (cf Nymphaea sp) descansa sobre a água, subindo em zigzague na foto, há mais um grupo de folhas de Lotus. Dali pra frente, sai-se da água calma e entra-se na área do lago com leves ondulações. Nessa parte, temos o reflexo das motanhas e céu visto acima. Sobre água a dança, o motivo de eu tanto amar essa foto: Um enorme grupo de Bubulcus ibis (Linnaeus, 1758) realizam seu balé, perfeitamente sincronizado sobre a água, espetáculo de todo anoitecer, que impressiona visual e auditivamente. Encantador. Mais a cima temos a linda cadeia de montanhas das serras do Rio de Janeiro, beijadas pela linda luz do anoitecer.

My favorite photo of 2018! It's definitely not a photo intended for social media, but for a large print. In the concept of building a photo, it has the elements that add to the photo and nothing else. In the foreground, a beautiful Lotus flower (cf Nymphaea sp), rising in the frame in a zigzag we find another group of Lotus leaves, from there up, we exit the steady water and enter where the lake has it's ripples. In this part, we have the reflection of the ballet and sky seen above. Just above the water is the dance, the reason I love this photo: A huge group of Bubulcus ibis (Linnaeus, 1758) perform their ballet, perfectly synchronized above the water, spectacle of every night, which impresses visually and auditively. Further up we have the beautiful mountain range of the rio de janeiro mountains, kissed by a beautiful night.

She was prancing at me when I come around her field. She likes visits and to be pet. She has a sweet mental.

Tower of Neuschwanstein Castle (German: Schloß Neuschwanstein) is a 19th century Bavarian castle. Located in Germany, near Hohenschwangau and Füssen in southwest Bavaria, the castle was built by Ludwig II, King of Bavaria, as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner, the King's inspiring muse. It is the most photographed building in Germany and is one of Germany's most popular tourist destinations. In the background you can see the Forggensee.

Slot Neuschwanstein in Beieren is een kasteel in Hohenschwangau bij Füssen in de Allgäu, gebouwd (19e eeuw) in opdracht van (de later krankzinnig verklaarde) koning Ludwig of Lodewijk II van Beieren. Het is het beroemdste bouwwerk van Lodewijk II en een van de bekendste toeristische attracties van Beieren. Het kasteel is genoemd naar Schwan, een zwaan dus. Zwanen waren de lievelingsdieren van de koning; van zijn nicht Elisabeth kreeg hij een grote porseleinen zwaan cadeau die in het kasteel staat. This was a little video of a spinning top that Topsy built using some of the pieces she hoped to use as greebles for her contribution to a second digital collaboration project, ABS Chapter II, Quest for Europa.

Topsy had been having some designing set-backs with her build for the colab, the Cuboidal Drilling Sub. So, while she was toying around with some of her LEGO pieces, the idea for this top came into her mind. (Everyone needs a little R&R/diversion when encountering a set-back.) I hoped this would be her magic potion for resuming her building! And, it was!

I'm sure Topsy's idea for building a top was the result of her YouTube viewing of several of Jeremy M's fabulous spinning tops, accessories, technical explanations, and videos. So, a belated thanks goes to Jeremy!

FYI: A snippet of Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round seemed the ideal background music.
