This was an old bus that a guy lives in outside the Daly Waters pub, which is really and truly in the middle of nowhere.
1951 or '52 Chevy 3100 ½-ton "Advance Design" pickup lounges on a strip mall roof near former Route 66 (Central Ave) in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I could find no info online on this rooftruck or it's placement history. Despite its "Atlas Van Lines" detailing I could uncover nothing associating Atlas with the site. The tenant pylon for the strip mall headlines "Iglesia Profética Tabernaculo de ABBA, Visión de Águila" ("Prophetic Church Tabernacle of ABBA [a term for god], Eagle Vision"), with "Top Tier Barber Shop" listed further down... but nothing vehicle-related.

they were setting tents up down town getting ready for the Rock n Roll marathon. the sky was perfect too.
will visit streams later... getting ready to leave for town so hubby can run the marathon this morning. Have a wonderful Sunday xoxo
I'm not too sure about this new top. I do really like the colour and pattern (plus shiny) but there's just something about the sleeves I don't like. It also really needs tucking in which presents its own problems when you've got a big belly and as blocky a top half as me. I did however stumble across this pose for the camera, which tends to disguise the above. Off out tonight so just got work to get through and then gotta find something to wear.
Ex-LMS Black 5, 45212 heads away from Haworth as it passes Top fields with the 11:40 service to Oxenhope 04/01/2025
This top is made of pieces of Terrain by Kate Spain and Kona White. I have now found this block is in Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia as #3364, Fan Quadrille - Mountain Mist. Megan from Canoe Ridge Creations also did a tutorial with a version of this block here:http://www.canoeridgecreations.com/2011/09/off-drunken-path-go-baby-tute.html
Now to quilt it in time for the FAL deadline at the end of this month.
Another skirt worn on this Friday. A satin like olive sunray pleated skirt from Top Shop. Very nice :-)
Jeffrey City, Wyoming
UPDATE -- November 2013. Drove through Jeffrey City a few days ago and discovered that this sign has been removed. It's an unfortunate loss of one of Wyoming's iconic roadside signs.
In a timeless ritual of men and the sea, the fishing boat, Newfoundland Mariner, takes her leave of St. John's harbour and heads out into open water to try her luck.
I'm not sure what the man on top of the bridge was doing - perhaps just enjoying the view
Que esmalte mais lindo!!Ele tem uma cor de berinjela, com aqueles brilhinhos que eu tanto adoro!
Não lembro ao certo quantas camadas passei, mas acho que foram três. Não usei TC.
How many of you can remember the movie Top Gun in 1986. Well this is the house located in Oceanside California across from the beach that Tom Cruse and Kelly McGinnis used in that movie. Now fenced off and everything around it has been torn down. I think the city wants to tear this last house down and rebuild new in its place.
Devia tê-las cortado pra facilitar o serviço, mas me deu preguiça!rsrs
Pra acelerar a secagem usei TC da Colorama.
*Se quiserem ver melhor os glitters aumentem a foto, dá pra ver bem certinho!!
Bom final de semana!! *-*
