Bernkastel was about 25 miles from Traben Trarbach along the Mosel River. But it was only 3 or 4 miles walking oveer the mountain. We had frequent hikes to Bernkastel with many friends. We would often pack a picnic. We usually took a boat ride back home later in the day.

To get this I shot water out of a bulb blower into a red bowl of water. It took 60 exposures to get a good one.
I used a Nikon D200 with Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 extended to 75mm. Exposure: f/16 @ 1/250 @ ISO400. SB-800 flash directly overhead pointing straight down at 1/32 power.
About the image.
Went to Osaka for a day trip, knee pain getting worst so I only had energy to go around 2 place.
Osaka Castle and Dotonburi.
There was a cheerleading sort of event happening over the Osaka Castle grounds and spent a bit of time watching them.
They are a joy to watch and even though I don't understand what they are saying their smile is infectious.

The Ghan stops at Marla which is in the middle of nowhere, before sunrise. The passengers all turn out to see the sunrise over the outback. Bonfires are lit, pathways are marked with laterns, coffee, juice,are for the taking and bacon & egg sliders are passed around. And then the eastern skies begin to show some colour and slowly the sun appears above the horizon.
