Feet don't fail me now
Take me to the finish line
Oh, my heart it breaks every step that I take
But I'm hoping at the gates, they'll tell me that you're mine
Walking through the city streets
Is it by mistake or design?
I feel so alone on the Friday nights
Can you make it feel like home if I tell you you're mine?
It's like I told you, honey
Don't make me sad, don't make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough
And the road gets tough, I don't know why
Keep making me laugh
Let's go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane, so
Choose your last words, this is the last time
'Cause you and I, we were born to die
Lost but now I am found
I can see that once I was blind
I was so confused as a little child
Tryna take what I could get
Scared that I couldn't find
All the answers, honey
Don't make me sad, don't make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough
And the road gets tough, I don't know why
Keep making me laugh
Let's go get high
The road is long, we carry on
Try to have fun in the meantime
Come and take a walk on the wild side
Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain
You like your girls insane, so
Choose your last words, this is the last time
'Cause you and I, we were born to die

the past isn't dead
it's alive, it is happening
in the back of my head
no future, no past
no laws of time
can undo what is happening
when i close my eyes
with the stars and the moon
i woke up in the night
So, as I was taking a rest from viewing other people’s images (my eyes were burning), so I closed them (yes, still trying to unsuccessfully practice Yoga) and attempted to visualize my next activity. Vacuuming was quickly discarded and so was washing the walls. After all, it’s a long weekend and those are meant to be for relaxation. I was still fuming over my failed attempts to photograph a caterpillar two days ago with the most amazing yellow, black and white color triumvirate that I had ever seen. Even in non-existent light, it looked spectacular on that little screen on the back of my camera. So, I used up roll after roll after roll of film on this little beauty. Woops, that was in a different era. I was in my glory … this was going to be really special. I finally got the stuff onto the computer and started examining the fruits of my labor. Yes, the color was awesome. But …. drats it all to hell. The absence of light had resulted in such extremely high noise that everything was useless unless I wanted to use it as a backdrop for a horror film. Instant depression … I had wasted the better part of an afternoon. It just wasn’t fair. So, I started to look for my lemon juice (when given lemons, do something useful with them), but the only thing that sprang to mind was to use it as a “learning experience”. That is such a cop-out. Krombacher, yes that would surely take the edge off things. It eventually did although a variety of additional boosters were required.
Two days later, the light returned and so did the caterpillar. We are looking at Lophocampa maculate according to Wikipedia. It’s the larva of a Spotted Tussock Moth aka Mottled Tiger aka Spotted Halisidota. Its habitat is “Canada, the western parts of the US, south in Appalachians to South Carolina and Kentucky” per Wikipedia. And that’s as learned as it gets here. My eyes started to glaze over at reading “Lophocampa…” what?
Sandhill Crane.
Between 34 to 48 inches in length with a wingspan of nearly 7 feet. They are very tall with a long neck and long legs. Largely gray with a red forehead. Juveniles are browner and have no red on head. Their plumage often appears a rusty color because of iron stains from water of ponds or marshes.
They inhabit large freshwater marshes, prairie ponds and marshy tundra. They are also on prairies and grain fields during migration and in winter.
They range from Siberia and Alaska to the Hudson Bay and south into western Ontario. There are isolated populations in: the Rocky Mountains, the northern prairies, the Great Lakes, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. They winter in California's Central Valley and across the southern states from Arizona to Florida.

A test shot to verify sharpness of a new (used) lens, the Voigtlander 15mm f/4.5 Heliar Super-Wide.
As seen here the pictures I have taken have been unfocused:
This image is satisfactorily sharp, what I found is the infinity symbol needed to be set to the maximum focal distance. Focusing to 1M with the rangefinder patch is also acceptably sharp. Hyper-focal focusing on the distance scale leaves the frame soft throughout (I expect something is in focus, but likely so far away it is difficult to spot over flat ground.).
The many contradictions have to be accepted. You are trying hard to weld everything into a whole, to simplify things one way or another in your mind because that would simplify your life, but life happens to consist of contradictions and all of these must be accepted as part of life, and one must not stress one at the expense of the other. Just let everything go on spinning along, and it may yet turn into one great whole.

To my friend Tio
In the beginning I thought
he leaves me out in the rain
in the pouring rain
and you thought the same about me
I know
but there where some hints
some indications
eventually the rain stopped
just for a moment ?
a change to the better?
I was in the mist
I tried to peer through the fog
and I poked about in a fog
leaving somebody out in the cold
can produce fog
to cut a long story short
I found a valuable friend
or did he find me?
I think we both did the job
and this was good!
From the bluff area of Turkey Mountain looking south, South Tulsa and Jenks on the horizon. I finally made it up to the ridge on the mountain, it was a cool day great for a hike and will not be my last trip up! The Arkansas river you can see as it winds between Tulsa one side and Jenks on the other.
