The PV&T never had very many small switchers (14 if you include the ex-BCC class Hs), and kept very good care of them, but MOST of them were rolling antiques, some approaching 100 years in service. So the Portland shops, in preparation for the inevitable day when to keep one running it would have to be completely rebuilt from scratch, started designing a new universal switcher to take their place.
What they ended up doing was to take the class J roadswitcher and put it through the wash on HOT to shrink it down a bit. They kept the coupled trucks, but switched to the lower profile plate truck introduced in the switchers the Portland Shops built for the PdM, then shrunk the hoods for better visibility.
The class O's are 80 tons, give or take a few pounds, and can produce 1400HP with enough spare power to also power a slug.
The first one arrived after the P&W merger, so was numbered in the first empty slot after the P&W's initial block of numbers -- a nice round 900.
These engines took 3 of the more worn class A's out of service, leaving only 201 & 204 running, plus the 2 240s & the last remaining PVRT Baldwin-Westinghouse steeplecab.

All three of my Switch boys in one place! Poor Courtney (Seolrok) looks short because the other two are wearing boots, and he's just in sneakers. Also, Ramses (Soseo) is on a stand which gives him a teeny bit more height over the others. Jamie (Waseon) is just chilling in the middle, all smug like, "I don't have to steal a body, bitches."
Actually, I'm kind of thinking of either getting Jamie repainted, or trading his head for a blank one or one with a different faceup. The faceup he came with is nice and all, but not really what I want? But I also don't want to wipe it and replace it with one of my mediocre ones! I'd feel guilty. :B Maybe I can just get used to it, but I'm still considering swapping it out. :U
Cables.com offer HDMI Switches are used to run multiple HDMI cables to one device. These switches are useful for those who are connecting multiple High Definition devices to a single HD output (or multiple, in some cases), and wish to switch from one device to another.
The Select Button remains a button, made in the style of the Warlock knobs. It is the one with the white stripe. The Start Switch is below that, and below the switch are two cosmetic "dummy" knobs. All three knobs have the ability to turn.

My brother and I had a play around with my External flash, changing angles and camera settings to get some good shots. Hope you enjoy.
Detail pics of Switch Dojin. Also my first attempt with airbrush blushing. Obviously I need lots of work, but I never would have gotten the soft gray/silver eyebrows wanted by the client without it!! :D

These old light switches were in the corner of the Battle of Britain hangar at Duxford Air Museum. Probably walked past by thousands of people more or less unnoticed but they caught my eye. I'm not sure how old they are but they do not appear to be in use anymore, probably unsafe and anyway covered in layer upon layer of RAF grey paint.
Converted to B&W (red channel only), adjusted curves and contrast and sharpened.
An afternoon of tinkering with the Alfa. An upgrade of sorts, adding a hazard warning light switch and associated wiring. A worthwhile modernisation, especially given the increase in smart motorways, with no hard shoulder. Luckily, I could mount the switch in a spare hole in the dashboard, previously blanked off with a rubber bung.
The other switch is a dimmer for the instrument panel, which takes it from dim to even dimmer.

Switched to a black traveler's notebook made by me and added an extra booklet for writing only. Well and doodling and things, but definitely no planning things.
