After emptying my 2 smaller baskets into this one, I now have 2 empty baskets for my 2 swap-works in progress.
Love how this looks on my sewing table.
Thanks Kristel
I have received this candy (and some kawaii) swap from Sayuri (kazaguruma) I love all my dear! thanks for all! the chopsticks are so cute!
I had a little problem with the banana soap, I have bitten this because it was like a candy jajajaja, yes I eat soap at my 21 years old jajaja, but not too much XD
thanks for all, I would love to make another swap with you!
I'm thinking of adding some "Cat & the Fiddle" painting/embroidery to the "surprise" ... have to wait for the paint to dry, before I can embroider though, so I can't tell if this will be a GO or NO GO!

That sounds a bit silly somehow. Poholders are usually such a silly thing. But I think you'll agree with me that they deserve the title! Thank you so much Amy! Not only did you orgainze a super-fun swap but you made me something so very very "me" and special that I'm just about to die over it!
I can't believe that I've not ranted more about dollhouses over here for you to know how much I love them! I've been known to drive WAY out of my way on vacation just because I heard about a special one which is kind of en route.
My kitchen walls are a total total mess so they're just propped against the toaster oven where I can admire them for now but I think you can see how they're already brightening things up but still matching the things that are there. They're even making my worn-slick blue formica look nicer!
Theme "scrappy squares". Made with various Kaffe Fassett prints and backed with Amy Butler home dec fabric. Heading off to a new home soon!
Pincushion made using pattern from 'I love patchwork'. Fabrics are Denyse Schmidt Quilts - Picnics and Fairgrounds

Fun swap with Jen (scissorspaperglue). We traded 3+ items, then made something for each other, then returned the made item. Jen sent this sweet ballerina pic, the green fabric, and lots of fun beads, sequins, and Paris-themed stamps. I had loads of fun making her this fabric book. I used a Cliff's Notes softcover book as the base, and machine stiched the cover right onto it. The background is script fabric, with a layer of tulle, and hand-sewn sweet pale green sequins.
These are the potholders that I got in the Swap this year -- I actually squealled when I opened the package and saw my new little treasures!! They're beautiful!! Thank you Susann, Laura, Beth,Sarah, & Adrian!!

The station sign says Coaler right in front of the TP&W GP20. Back in the era of steam locomotives, a coal chute and facilities stood here, a few miles south of Wateska, IL, to service the locomotives of the Chicago & Eastern Illinois. The sign had an alternative meeting on 8-7-1991 as the TP&W and CSX exchanged coal loads for empties. The CSX power set led by B23-7 5506 is heading south through the hand-thrown crossovers with empty hoppers as the TP&W set of GP20s is coupled onto the set of coal loads. After the empties clear, the TP&W will head back north to Wateska and get back onto their own line to head west for Peoria. These coal trains served the CILCO electric plant on the southwest side of Peoria. The C&NW poached these trains from the TP&W a few years later, as the coal came north from southern Indiana all the way into Chicago and then ran west to Nelson and south to Peoria, IL.
Heres a WIP peek of my project for the upcoming Coraline mystery Box Swap. I figured the other Mother doesnt use a sewing machine so am handstitching the entire piece...
Cécile Brünner, the rose, is just about done for this season. Two days of high winds are forecast and they'll probably finish her off. Maybe then she'll get pruned. There's always something going on with Cécile. She's housed the wren's nest, is part of the cottage's windbreak, and climbs up and over the shade house where, despite the "monster who ate everything" frost, she kept the houseplants safe. While she was at it, three ginkgo seedlings arrived in the mail the other day and are in there too, recovering, getting used to their new home ahead of them heading off into the "wild wood" next year.
I picked the last few buds of Cécile on their skinny little stems. They don't make the best cut flowers. But they are pretty enough for a dressing table or vanity for a day or two; then this…
Fortuitously, this little vase and it's posey are roughly the size of the wren's nest, so I know the formula: 42 turns of the focussing rail, front to back. toddkeith533 favoured the notion of a small aperture for close-up photography over stacking. So, taking his advice to enhance my inherent "efficiency", or laziness, I've stopped down to f/11 and reduced the process to just seven exposures — hybridisation, if you like. While I was at it, I turned off the overhead lighting and swapped out the flash I used on the wren's nest for the less powerful 430 EXII. The results? No exposure compensation numbers were harmed, and computer time was far, far less than for however many photos I used at f/4.
What it all amounts to is a pretty little pink thing to insert among the green doom and gloom of a frozen landscape. Even wilted and drying roses are better than that!

A swap I made of the cast of Bridesmaids with various celebrities. Starting from the left: Natalie Portman, JK Rowling, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Sally Field and Stephanie Meyer. Enjoy!
Okay, to be honest, my swap-receiver got this with pink stitching, but i forgot to photograph that one. Made this one at the same time for the lovely and talented ms jackson.
I always wanted a AA Happy Family mom--but could never find her at a reasonable price. BUT I found a Teen Skipper doll and began looking for a posable body.
Fashionista was not a match, but SIS Kara was!
We made a swap with gofenshefer and yesterday arrived her necklace! It is made of natural beads which grow on a plant called in russian Bussennik. So happy to own such unique piece ))
ps. Trough the swap, we found that we lived in the same district in Riga 16 years ago!
In my childhood I was often in this forest where she makes the photos of her gorgeous items.
I just finished these up for my swap partner...I hope you like them. They are pretty random! Those are the most fun to make, I hope they will be as easy for you to use.
I made the little pouch from the legs of some jeans I cut off at the beginning of summer...I knew that I would be able to use them for something...I think I will be making more of these!
I finally managed to take a picture of all the goodies Yasuko sent me - thank you so much Yasuko, I loved everything!!!!
