My goldfish that I had for about 5 years died the other day. I was sad and she made me a goldfish earring so that I could be with my goldfish in SL. It is a goldfish earring made out of kindness.

These plants just do not look real but as though they have been moulded from plastic, their colours are just brilliant. At the nursery I saw red, orange pink and this greenish shade. This is SOOC with just a small border added.
A member of the arum (Araceae) family, this tropical American genus includes some 900 species of evergreen perennials and climbers. Quite often seen as indoor plants, they are also very popular in tropical gardens. Anthuriums are also grown as cut flowers, and are an important industry in Hawaii, where at the peak of production in the 1980s around 30 million flower stems were shipped to the worlds markets. Although some species have been used medicinally where they occur naturally, all parts of the plant are toxic and such use, even externally, is not encouraged.

Appearance
Anthuriums develop into a cluster of short upright stems bearing large, elliptical, lance- or arrowheadshaped leaves, which are usually held upright on stiff stalks. The distinctive flowerheads are made up of a flattened, shield-shaped, petal-like bract known as a spathe, which surrounds a protruding cylindrical spike embedded with many tiny flowers, called the spadix. Both the spathe and spadix tend to be the same color, usually bright red, though other colors occur among the hybrids.

Last spring we spent a weekend in the Carrizo Plain in central California to witness the superbloom. On the way back home we took the scenic route on Highway 1 along the California cost. There is a secluded place called Calla Lily Valley. Wild lilies bloom mid March to beginning of April.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from two RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

"Akumal" means "place of the turtle" in Maya. In addition to the sea turtles which lay their eggs on the beach (in holes which they dig) Akumal Bay is surrounded by the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, which is continuous from Cancun on the north-eastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, south through the Riviera Maya to Honduras. It is the second largest coral reef system in the world.

Bavarian town of Leavenworth, Washington. All shops are Bavarian themed. Leavenworth is also the gateway to many beautiful alpine lakes.
I managed to get 4 shots yesterday on our little photo walk down to Findochty and back. I actually can't remember visiting this location at low tide before so was really pleased to find a whole bunch of new compositions that I hadn't photographed in the past. This was one of my favourites but resulted in getting wet feet and legs. Totally worth it though as water soon dries! Taken on the coastline to the east of Findochty in Morayshire, Scotland.

I find there's something relaxing on the eye when we keep the colour palette simple. Colours really can elicit emotional responses.
Just as taking the noises away rests my ears, so minimizing the colours can rest my eyes … and hopefully my mind too!

Palazzo Testa is a small Gothic palace in Venice, Italy.
At the fork between the Rio Tetta and the Rio di San Giovanni Laterano, the palace stands three sides on water. It can be fully viewed on the beautiful cast iron bridge Ponte dei Conzafelzi.

Syzygium is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. The genus comprises about 1200–1800 species, and has a native range that extends from Africa and Madagascar through southern Asia east through the Pacific. Its highest levels of diversity occur from Malaysia to northeastern Australia, where many species are very poorly known and many more have not been described taxonomically. Cascade is a beautiful mid sized shrub with mid-sized glossy apple green leaves with attractive red and pink new growth. Spectacular pink powder-puff flowers in summer are followed by pinkish fruits that are edible and attract birds. R_22977
