The Piano Grande is a large high plateau surrounded by the Sibillini Mountains on the border of Umbria and le Marche.
This spectacular natural amphitheatre in the surrounding hills is one of Italy’s hidden treasures.
It becomes a truly paradise to outdoor travelers and landscape photographers, especially during the spring and summer.

Surrounded by nothing but turquoise lagoon which melts into sapphire blue, the Maldives island of Anantara Kihavah and its pure white sands rise up out of the ocean like a mirage.
For centuries, this was where Arab traders sailing to the Far East took shelter; a lush paradise blessed by coconut, papaya and mango trees. Navigating archipelago to archipelago by the stars, the seafarers were also drawn by the riches of the ocean surrounding the island – where a prehistoric volcano sank back into the depths, leaving blooming corals within a house reef and a wealth of lagoon fish.
Wishing to keep the pristine nature of the island intact, not one tree has been moved – as evidenced by the villas growing up around them. The design pays homage to the seafarers of old, fusing Indian Ocean, Arab and Portuguese motifs with indigenous materials.
of stone, wood and withering combination of the garden plantation!
This is classed and known to be one of the main great features of the garden.
I was very grateful that this wonderful framed constructure was near towards the house. Where it would get some shade from any strong contrasting sunlight above. That gave me, the best composition for framing and getting a great depth of view into this shot!
This is my favourite one for that day and I am very well pleased of the way it turned out.
Even though many photographers, as a rule, would rather have a person in the shot, even walking up or down to give the composition of framing.
But not for me this time, as I wanted to capture the beauty of the construction of this.
Also, if you zoom into the last frame, I managed to capture a couple walking on by!
So, it's easy to see why and can visualise, this gets used for the Wedding occasions they do from the house!
Especially when in Spring or Summer time, with full blooming out of flowers that surrounds all over it.
Which would make this the perfect setting and framing for any bride and groom shots.
This now raps up the end of this series, from Winterbourne House and Gardens, for this visit.
So, many thanks for your delightful comments and compliments from you here, my good flickr friends !!!
Laguna de Huaypo is a picturesque lake surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Sacred Valley as well as the rural Andean countryside.
Here is a collection of flowers for the Smile in Saturday theme "Flowers in vertical photo". Apart from the dahlias the flowers are from my garden. The dahlias come from a cut flower field in my neighbourhood where I often go to take photos but I only rarely buy flowers there. :) HSoS !
Being away from city lights and closer to nature enables us to witness simple fascinations. The birds in the yard and trees and the squirrels scurrying around for their food supplies is what I watch instead of morning T.V. A wonderful sunrise or sunset here gives us the warmth of knowing there’s a “Power” here much greater than our own at work here. That power gives us the creek out back giving life to the fish the frogs and whatever they require to live on. The deer here are plentiful and watching them scurry around the property leaves us again feeling a part of Nature not separate from it. Truly, we feel that “Beauty Surrounds Us.” The pandemic forces us to be at home more than ever. We are fortunate to be in such a beautiful and peaceful area and for that we are very grateful. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and continue to wear your mask. The life you save may just be your own.

The absence of wind creates a perfect mirror on the waters of Tovel Lake in the municipality of Ville d'Anaunia (TN).
Surrounded by different types of trees in the middle of autumn "foliage", it is protected on the north-west side by the high peaks of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park.
There are a couple of very large crabapples nearby which have a most remarkable aroma and I look forward to my annual therapeutic immersion within their extensive branches filled with blooms.

A cherry blossom is a flower of many trees of genus Prunus. The most well-known species is the Japanese cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is commonly called sakura. They are widely distributed, especially in the temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere including Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Mainland China, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Myanmar, Thailand and West Siberia. Along with the chrysanthemum, the cherry blossom is considered the national flower of Japan. Japan has a wide variety of cherry blossoms (sakura); well over 200 cultivars can be found there. All varieties of cherry blossom trees produce small, unpalatable fruit or edible cherries. Edible cherries generally come from cultivars of the related species Prunus avium and Prunus cerasus. 17258

This week's them of the Smile on Saturday group is "Iridescent". The only object with iridescent colours I could think of was this peacock feather which is actually a toy and belongs to my cats. I added the teddy bear for a certain cuteness factor and some other colours for additional interest. :) HSoS !

Surrounded by a wide moat, stands at the edge of the graceful Mastbos. The castle is first mentioned in documents dated 1554. In 1614 it was converted into a hunting lodge. Kasteel Bouvigne borders on a beautiful garden. Nothing is known of landscape gardening in the16th century. The present garden is open to the public and integrates French, German and English styles of the 20th century. Bouvigne castle is a charming building outside Breda, in the Mastbos forest. Its present look dates mainly from the 17th century. For a long time, the princes of Orange used it as their summer house. The castle, that stands in the water, was built in a typical renaissance style. Its beautiful gardens are open to the public.
